Oakland Grange is situated in a residential area on the borders of Rustington and Littlehampton close to the coast and within walking distance to the beach. Originally a large Edwardian house, the home has been extended to offer spacious facilities. It is set in a south facing mature garden with a sun terrace overlooking the lawns beyond.

Oakland Grange provides a comfortable environment for elderly residents, in a purposely converted building to provide effective residential care.

Residents have the use of comfortable lounges and dining areas where they can choose from a wide variety of home-cooked meals. There are well maintained, large landscaped gardens and patio areas. There is an activity program scheduled throughout every week.

Personal care packages ensure that all individual requirements are met by friendly, trained staff who are available day and night, led by a management team. Staff are enhanced by working in partnership with external professionals such as the local GP practice and Pharmacy.

Staff levels are adjusted to reflect the needs of personalised care for residents which can change over time. Oakland Grange continuously invests in training to support a quality of care in which they can all feel proud and meet the needs and expectations of residents and their families.

This is the second year our mother has been a resident at the home. This was a big 'ask' for Mum - very stubborn, and moving was not on her radar. Yes, there have been some settling-in teething problems, which were inevitable as this is her first time living elsewhere. However, all good for some time
now. She is looking much better than she has in years, both physically and mentally, which is down to the care and activities the Grange provides. We would recommend Oakland Grange, who does a good job, and we feel she is being looked after well.

My mother has been living at Oakland Grange for several months and has really settled in now, thanks to the warmth and attention of the lovely people who work there, who have provided consistently good care. As in most care homes at the moment, it must sometimes be a challenge to keep hold of the full
complement of staff, but management clearly always makes an effort to ensure that activities that keep residents interested, happy and alert can continue. The food has also been of a generally high quality, with careful attention paid to dietary needs. All indoor spaces are well cared for and clean, and the large garden is a wonderful bonus.

Oakland Grange provided a month's convalescence for my mother after a fall. The home is cosy, comfortable, friendly and spotless. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. My sisters and I visited each week from Cambridgeshire and Kent and were made to feel part of their Oakland family on every occasion.
Christmas was amazing and we thank you for giving Mum so much care to be able to return home last week.
Highly recommended!

Both my parents have settled well into Oakland Grange. Both have totally different care needs which are very well covered by the staff.
I have peace of mind that they are looked after by the attentive staff. I also enjoy visiting my parents at the beautiful home. I have just enjoyed a lovely afternoon
at their Christmas party with excellent food and great entertainment.

My mum has been in Oakland Grange for 18 months now, but I just want to say they really know how to put on a good Christmas party. Yesterday was a wonderful day. Loads of lovely food and an excellent singer. The home is full of beautiful Christmas decorations, making the atmosphere magical. The staff
all dressed up as did many of the residents and their relatives - in their sparkly Christmas jumpers. Good fun was had by all, with dancing and even one of the residents leading the singing. It was so wonderful to see my mum so happy, joining in with the dancing and singing. Thank you so much for such a happy day.

I have found all the staff helpful and very caring to all residents.
Nothing seems to be a problem to them. They call the residents by their first names and treat everyone as part of one big family.

The staff are attentive, patient and proactive.
The home itself is a lovely building with a pleasant dining room and a lovely lounge. The garden is beautiful too.
The food is very good, and the staff and chefs organised a Gluten Free diet for my mother.

I find the staff very friendly and welcoming and also helpful and caring. The home is comfortable and very clean, and a lot of entertainment is provided. The food is excellent. Visitors are always made welcome to visit anytime and join in with any entertainment.

Oakland Grange, Littlehampton and their complete team has been a game changer - literally. Our mother initially came in for a respite got well and went home to her residential flat. After a fall and very traumatic recovery in hospital - she returned to Oakland after breaking her pelvic bone. In a short
time, her recovery and build-up of strength and demeanor has been remarkable - and a lot of this has been due to literally an 'A Team'. The Oakland management and staff are super compassionate, they listen and are extremely responsive both to the residents but also family members. The rooms, cleanliness and facilities are excellent - and the food is top-notch. Both my brother and I would like to thank the complete staff A-Team for their support and impeccable service to your residents. Kudos!

Choosing a care home for someone can be a daunting task. So where to start? Fortunately, my dear friend remembered visiting Oakland Grange Residential Care Home some years earlier to see an old friend and could recall it “always seemed a very ‘nice’ place”. Her long memory served her well, and today,
nine years later, my 94-year-old friend continues her residency at Oakland Grange, happily settled in a lovely, modern, safe and high-quality place of care, helping to maintain quality of life with compassion, kindness, and respect where residents can feel at ease, comfortable and most importantly at home and amongst friends.

I cannot recommend Oakland Grange highly enough. It's well organised, well run, professional, but mostly, so very helpful and caring. I feel confident and relieved that my mum is so very well looked after and cared for in every way possible. The staff here really do go above and beyond, from the cleaning

Following a fall down the stairs in mid-January and my father being discharged from the hospital to my care, as he'd been assessed as medically fit but, in my opinion, not at all capable of going home to his house and caring for himself, my husband and I sought respite care for him, initially in another
care home. They did their best, but we always knew we wanted him to transfer to Oakland Grange as soon as it was possible due to its excellent reputation. He has been a resident of Oakland for two and a half months now and has actually decided he wants to stay there permanently. We cannot fault the care and support provided by all the staff, they are always very welcoming and friendly to us and his many other visitors, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for. Dad has a lovely room, and he enjoys taking part in as many of the activities as he can, and the proximity of the home to us is an added bonus. We would highly recommend Oakland Grange.

Oakland Grange has delivered the highest standard of care to my 89-year-old mum for the past few years. She’s had her ups and downs but continues to bounce back in no small part down to the care, love and safeguarding delivered to her at Oakland Grange.
The staff are friendly, caring and well trained.
There is always a great atmosphere in the building whenever I visit. Did I mention cleanliness? This home is always spotless.

My mother moved to Oakland Grange in November 2021. It was a big decision to give up her bungalow, but she was having difficulty managing alone.
We are so glad she made this decision, the staff have been great, and she is well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
It is also a lovely
place to come and visit my mother, so warm and welcoming.
They have plenty going on socially most days, also visiting entertainers.
The food is outstanding - my compliments to the chef.
It was a decision well made.

My mother has been a resident of Oakland for two years now. We are very pleased with the care she receives, especially as she has been unwell and needed short stays in the hospital. When she returned from the hospital, the care they give her is excellent. The home is bright and cheerful, and the garden
is lovely with a large sun terrace. Mum enjoys the garden and sits out in the sun at any opportunity.
The home is always clean, the staff are cheerful, and the change-over of staff is minimal - the same faces are around since Mum first arrived. There is regular entertainment and annual events on the calendar are celebrated, and the staff go to great lengths to decorate the home for these, and the chef will prepares food relating to the event. Mum has her hair done every week in the salon - a hairdresser visits regularly. The walk into town or the seafront is only a few minutes, and Mum enjoys the seafront in the summer. Would certainly recommend Oakland Grange to anyone.

My great-aunt moved here approximately six months ago, and we are so glad she did. The level of care she receives is totally appropriate to her needs, never compromising her dignity or independence. My aunt always looks well-presented; it is obvious that someone has taken the time to dress her in clothes
that coordinate are clean and comfortable. She always cleans herself, and her hair is brushed. Her room and the rest of Oakland Grange are spotless. The staff are compassionate and caring and never walk by without a kind word or pat on the shoulder. She is actively encouraged to join in activities (the activity coordinator is wonderful), and I know she enjoys them. Finding a new home for her seemed a Sisyphean task at first, but we couldn't be happier with where she is. Roll on when I can move in!

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Oakland Grange care home for the great care they took of my father. He lived there from 2019 to January 2023, when he sadly passed away at the grand old age of 101. He was very happy living there and particularly enjoyed all the entertainment.
We both felt that the staff were excellent and did their very best to help all residents feel happy and at home. The building and interior are kept beautifully, with a great garden for the summer months.

Kevin joined Oakland Care Group in February 2022 as Chief Executive Officer, which includes Oakland Grange in Littlehampton and Oakland Court in Felpham, Bognor Regis. He brings 14 years of senior leadership experience in improving the quality of life for older adults. Kevin is a seasoned health and social care executive with a passion for delivering person-centred care, with a focus on professionalising care roles, implementing innovative solutions, and fostering a culture of excellence.


Throughout his career, Kevin has transformed services that serve the elderly across the UK. He has led non-profit and for-profit organisations providing care homes, home care, assisted living, memory care, and rehabilitation services. Under Kevin’s direction, these provisions of care have thrived through a person-centred philosophy and innovative solutions.


Kevin works diligently to leverage his experience and perspective to benefit Oakland Care Group’s residents, families, and employees.


As a Director for West Sussex Partners in Care, the local association for care providers, Kevin is committed to advocating for the social care sector.


Kevin is a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute and the Institute of Leadership and Management. He was a Top 10 Finalist of the Social Care Top 30 Leadership Awards in 2023 and a Finalist in the Social Care Top 30 for 2024. Additionally, he was included in the Care Home Professional’s Power List of 2023 and 2024 in the category of Executive Management.
