Silver Court in East Grinstead is situated close to the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The home provides residential and dementia care for up to 42 residents in homely and comfortable single ensuite rooms. Silver Court continues to welcome new residents.

The care team works with customers and their loved ones to create detailed care plans which ensure each individual’s health and care needs are continually met. Dementia care is available and staff receives on-going training to ensure their approach always reflects best practice.

The staff works hard to get to know its customers, build relationships and ensure all aspects of the service provided are at the highest level.

The staff are very kind. I feel very safe here. I am as happy as I can possibly be. I have been in another care home and this is by far the best - it's 100%!

The carers are well-meaning and kind but there are too few of them really to manage the needs and numbers of residents.
For example, this afternoon, one carer was on duty with (I understand) 20 residents to supervise. She was to be alone with them for three hours - between approximately 1.30 and 4.30.
Help
would be available elsewhere in the home if required.
Several residents are bed-bound with pressure sores so essential care (fluids and turning) would not be safely achieved, which must be compromising recovery.
The home manager was not in her office when I had to leave so I wasn't able to discuss the inadequate staffing.

We find the care given is good, the staff care about the residents. The home is clean and does not have the nasty smells that care homes have! The home is all on one level so that there is no dependency on lifts. It has been designed from scratch which means it was not converted from something else.
The food is very good and comes directly from the kitchen, so it is hot when it arrives, it is also served on hot plates so that it keeps hot longer.

I would definitely recommend Silver Court. The home retains its staff who are all so caring, there are many activities for the residents and the food is outstanding. My husband has settled very happily which is a huge relief to my family.
There are internal gardens which the residents really enjoy
in summer and through the windows in winter too.

I know my husband is safe and well cared for. The food is exceptional - well prepared and prepared. Team leaders are professional in their approach to the work they do. Lovely conservatory which is nice to sit in when visiting. The sensory garden is a calm and peaceful area to walk around.

When my 91-year-old uncle needed to go into care 18 months ago, we visited a number of care homes in the area. We settled on Silver Court because of the way we were greeted and shown around the excellent facilities which are all on ground floor level. My uncle settled very well and although he is a
private and obstinate man used to living on his own he has adapted to the routine of being in care. He appreciates the good food, the friendly, caring staff and the occasional outings. We would certainly recommend Silver Court to anyone looking for a home for an elderly relative.

My nan is a resident at this care home, the home is very welcoming as you walk in. Not a day goes by when my nan is lonely as she always has people surroundings her. The care she receives is outstanding. I would not change that in any way. It is always hard when a relative goes into a care home but
I have received more support than ever from the whole care staff team and management.

Mum has been here since July 2016 and took about 4 weeks to settle. The staff are very kind and treat her with dignity and quickly gained knowledge of how to treat her individually. I visit weekly and am welcomed by staff and residents.
The home is nicely laid out and well kept. It is secure and there
are nice gardens (also secure).
Mum is happy and relaxed here.

Mum has been here for just over three years. She is treated with such great respect and understanding. Mum is so settled there and you can just tell that she is comfortable with her surroundings. She has the freedom to walk inside and outside. The staff are caring always and have time for Mum and me.
