Such a warm friendly welcome Clovelly staff greet me with, when I go to see mum. It's good to know she is well loved and looked after. After a short stay in hospital, mum arrived at Clovelly smiling and waving saying to the staff I'm home, this gives me such peace of mind knowing she is happy in her
surroundings. The weekly arts and crafts and entertainment is always enjoyed by mum and it's always good to see the staff joining in on the social media page .

My mum moved to Clovelly House earlier this year and has settled in extremely well. She is happy, comfortable, and so very well looked after. She loves the entertainment and enjoys the crafting activities, as well as the days out now and again. She mentions the lovely food every time we visit and can't
praise the staff enough for their care and attention. It's peace of mind for us all knowing she is happy and content, getting the very best care from all the wonderful staff there.

My Mum has been a resident at Clovelly for some months now, and she is happy and settled. She has made friends, joins in with activities, and loves 'Fridays' with music, dance, and fun. She has crafting sessions to keep her entertained and occupied. She enjoys her visit from the hairdresser weekly.
The food is always lovely and the aroma from the kitchen smells so tempting. I find all staff very personable and excellent, from carers, cleaners, cooks, management and owner.
Mum has a most beautiful room and I would never tire of 'watching the world go by' from her window.
The most comforting words (never prompted by me) every time I visit Mum is & they're all so lovely here, you know they're very kind to me and I always leave Mum knowing that's all I need to hear.
Thank you Clovelly for giving my mum a 'home' from home.

My mum and our family have been made to feel very welcome from the very start. Clovelly House feels like home and the staff are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble and they are very obliging.
My opinion has been sought regarding my mum's care and I feel listened to.
I feel my mum is treated as

I work as a physiotherapist in the community and I see care homes every single day. When I visit my nan at Clovelly House, I feel so comfortable and happy that my nan has such an amazing home and she has become so much more animated and engaged since having such opportunities and seeing so many lovely

My granny moved to Clovelly House in 2023 and has loved it from the moment she got there. She looks forward to the activities and entertainment each week, especially the arts and crafts which she enjoys sharing with us when we visit. The staff are brilliant and always attentive to her every need! Granny
enjoys the food each day, especially the freshly cooked cakes! We are always welcomed when visiting by both the staff and other residents, and recently she has enjoyed spending her first Christmas amongst her new friends.

My husband was to start with going in Clovelly two days a week, but when it became too much for me to look after him at home with Alzheimer's, this was April 2022, I decided for him that he would go into Clovelly House. He settled in well and often told me 'I like living here' which made me feel after
the guilt complex happier. I have great pleasure in all the staff, they have been so friendly to my husband, myself and all the family, always pleased to see me and offer me refreshments and meals if I was there at lunch time and tea time, which was excellent. My husband did not always join in the activities, but he liked watching. I have only lovely memories of the home who looked after him to the end. Thank you to everyone from the management, carers, kitchen staff lovely food and cakes, cleaners, always lovely and clean. I cannot thank you enough for making my husband's stay at Clovelly very pleasant, and mine when I visited him. Thank you, thank you!

Mum moved to Clovelly in April 2023 when she was unable to manage on her own at home. She was immediately made to feel welcome and loved joining in all the activities - including the weekly singer and craft sessions. She especially enjoyed the visits from the ponies and ducks and the outings the most
recent to a local garden centre. Mum says the food is great and if she doesn’t like something, which is not very often, there is always an alternative that can be offered, as all food is cooked on the premises She particularly likes the Sunday roast and enjoys choosing what she is going to have for breakfast as well as the freshly baked cakes. They hold regular meetings for their VIPs (the residents) and friends and relatives when they welcome feedback and suggestions. Mum loves her new home at Clovelly and we have peace of mind knowing that she is happy, well looked after, and safe.
A big thank you to all the staff at Clovelly who do an amazing job.

Mum has been a resident of Clovelly House since early 2022. The care is exceptional; it feels as if the carers and all staff have made an effort to really know Mum, and her care is very much personal to her. She has choices with regard to how much she wishes to socialise, and she is given her own space
to be private. The varied entertainment programme is excellent and days out are an option and well planned. Mum's room is cosy and recently redecorated and looks out on lovely gardens. As a visitor, I have always felt welcomed by the team. I would happily recommend Clovelly House to any family looking for residential care for their loved ones.

My mother is a resident at Clovelly House since March and I cannot praise it enough. The staff always welcome you with a smile and chat. The food is fresh and home cooked daily and every dietary requirement is met. The actual house is clean and always smells of home baking. All medical issues are met.
The activities/outings/entertainment always puts a smile on her face. After a recent overnight stay in hospital she just wanted to go home, home being Clovelly House. As her daughter I can honestly say she loves it there and I and the rest of our family are always welcomed and are so happy that she is happy. Thank you Clovelly and all your staff.

Mum has and continues to be extremely happy at Clovelly. When my dad sadly died in 2020 we were really concerned how Mum would cope. Moving to Clovelly she has found a new sense of purpose and takes part in the full range of activities they provide. Mum especially enjoys the art and all the musical
entertainment, finding a new love for Elvis in her latter years!
As well as their excellent care, the staff take time to stop and chat to Mum and have become her extended family and for that we are extremely grateful. A special thank you to the manager who works tirelessly and creatively and is always thinking out of the box to provide her VIPS (residents) a place they can call home, not just a home.

First class facilities can be found here. Residents are treated in a friendly way to show that all staff respect there own dignity. The place is always clean and tidy and the food smells really inviting. There are plenty of activities and outings that the residents can take part in at no extra costs.
I'm always made welcome and have the chance to join in some of the activities. We are free to take Mum out at any time, but know she cannot leave of her own accord as all doors are kept locked. All in all, I cant find any fault with the home.

We love coming to visit my grandmother at Clovelly House, always lovely and clean. The grandchildren are always welcome and enjoy to come to see her too. As a family we love spending time with her at the summer fayres and other entertainment they have on. Our grandmother thoroughly enjoys her time at
Clovelly House and it gives us a wonderful feeling knowing how happy and comfortable she is. Nothing is too much trouble with the staff and their time is always given to all the residents. Thank you so much to all at Clovelly House.

Had amazing help to find a family care home for my dad. Clovelly House has it all. Has plenty of facilities to cater for the residents, the care support is well met. The home is kept very clean and no nasty smells. All staff, including management, treat residents with upmost care and understanding,
being so friendly like an actual family. The food tastes lovely and is homemade, adding to the family feel. Residents can’t escape as all doors are locked, this is good as my dad used to leave his last place and get lost. The best thing about Clovelly House is the amount of activities there are for the residents. I’ve spent a lot of time here, seeing them all enjoying themselves. Definitely recommend Clovelly House, it’s the best care home I’ve been to.

Parent needs a care home but I had the same concerns. Was it the right thing to do? Mother was suffering from dementia she needed more than I could give. I was looking for small, friendly, clean, good food, caring/loving, experienced staff and activities to help with mental and physical health.
Mother
enjoyed 18 months in Clovelly before she passed away in January 2023. Elvis visited regularly as do many other entertainers, handicraft sessions, petting animals and all manner of things to bring enjoyment to the VIP's.
Clovelly House was her home, VIP's and staff family. Every visit she asked if she could stay, and the carers would say, of course, you can. She did. All I will add is the words the family used at her service “Clovelly showed what caring was and that living with old age and disabilities could still be fun. At Clovelly House she had all the comforts a family can provide plus respect and dignity”.

My 80-year-old mother has advanced dementia, she has lived in Clovelly House for over 3-years and is very well cared for. The staff are amazing people, caring and considerate. There are plenty of activities for her, and she is given lots of support and encouragement to enjoy the various activities.
