Located in a peaceful residential area, Glennfield is a purpose-built care home in the historic market town of Wisbech, near the royal estate of Sandringham in Norfolk.

A dedicated and experienced team provides respite and long-term care, including residential, dementia, nursing, nursing dementia, and end-of-life care. The compassionate team takes time to understand each individual’s life story, aspirations, and preferences, ensuring a truly person-centred approach to care, wellbeing, activities, and meals.

Glennfield offers a warm and engaging environment, fostering a strong sense of belonging. A Lifestyle Coordinator works with residents and their families to provide a variety of enriching opportunities, allowing individuals to participate as much as they wish.

The home is divided into six care suites, each featuring bright, stylish dining and living areas, creating a comfortable and social setting. Every suite includes a self-contained kitchenette, enabling the people who live at the home to prepare their own breakfast or snacks, while visitors are always welcome.

At the heart of the home is a vibrant coffee shop, a popular social hub hosting activities such as card games and knitting groups. It is also a welcoming space for residents to meet with family over coffee and homemade cake. Special bar events, organised in partnership with Elgoods Brewery, are always well attended and enjoyed.

My husband was a resident of Glenfield Care for over seven years. This was his home and he was almost always treated with respect and kindness, dignity and humour; despite his many requirements and independent nature! The whole family was made to feel welcome always.

Every week I visit my brother and am always surprised at the love and positivity of the caring staff towards the residents foremost, but also towards their sometimes fragile visitors. It makes, what could be a challenging time, a more enjoyable time. Thank you to all.

My brother has been a resident for approximately three and a half years. The management team, carers, care assistants and nurses have been very professional, friendly and most of all caring to my brother, as well as supportive to our family. He settled in very well and it has been his home ever since.

Of course, I would prefer my son not to be in any care home, but as this is not possible I cannot think of a better place for him to be.
He is comfortable, well cared for and I believe he is loved by many of the wonderful staff.
I would also like to mention that the carers are sensitive to my needs,
often offering hugs when I leave my son.

Jan Davison

Job Title: Home Manager

Jan’s journey in the healthcare sector began straight after leaving school, driven by a deep passion for helping others. She started as a Dental Nurse, gaining experience in both NHS and private practices, before discovering her true calling in health and social care. Beginning as a carer, she quickly progressed into management, always striving to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.


Throughout her career, Jan has taken on a variety of roles, working in care homes, community care, extra care, and housing. She has also shared her knowledge by delivering training and supporting teams across the country as a regional manager.


Although she took a short break to explore the hospitality industry, her heart has always been in care—a field where her dedication and compassion continue to shine.


Sarah

Sarah Bull

Job Title: Care Manager

Joined: 2008

Sarah became the Care Manager at Glennfield Care Centre in 2008 and has many years’ experience of working in the care home environment.
Sarah has an NVQ 4 in Care Management, an intermediate certificate in Health and Safety and has undertaken many workshops in various care related subjects.
Sarah is responsible for the running of the home in the absence of the Manager.

Job Title: Clinical Lead

Nicoleta qualified as a Nurse in Romania in 1997. She worked in different healthcare settings, from hospitals to community care and lots of other places in between.


She moved over to the UK to continue her nursing career in 2014 and has been working at Glennfield Care Home ever since. Now as the Clinical Lead, Nicoleta strives to ensure Glennfield Care Home continues to be a safe, happy place where people live a fulfilled life.
