Home Meadow is located in Toft, a quiet village in West Cambridgeshire and has views across the countryside. The home offers a relaxing and peaceful environment, with many rooms having views over the grounds and beyond. The gardens are stocked with trees, shrubs, roses and bedding plants that provide year-round colour and interest, whilst large windows flood the rooms with light. There are also secluded courtyard gardens that provide a quiet sun-trap where residents can sit sheltered from the wind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

This warm, bright and welcoming home offers both residential care and a day care centre. The home comprises four attractive wings, namely Snowdrop, Primrose, Fuchsia, and Bluebell. Each wing has its own lounge and dining area as well as kitchen and bathroom facilities. Bedrooms are spacious, well-furnished and decorated to a high standard and residents are encouraged to bring items of their own furniture and possessions to complement those already provided, and to make their room feel personal and individual.

Care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills, but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. Staff are available constantly to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.

Residents are regularly assessed to ensure their needs are met. Appointments can be made with a visiting optician, dentist, and chiropodist. Home Meadow also has an in-house hairdressing salon that provides all the usual services plus manicures and hand massages.

Catering staff provide delicious meals and snacks throughout the day and special diets can be catered for.

Home Meadow is a rural care home in very pleasant surroundings. The Home is comfortable and welcoming. The staff are extremely caring and relatives are always given access and kept informed. There are regular activities, including visits by pupils at a local school and a play group which meets at the
Home every week. Food is freshly cooked on the premises and cakes are made for afternoon snacks. Staff work long hours but remain dedicated and cheerful.

My mother moved into 'Home Meadow' for a month after being discharged from hospital following a fall in which she broke her arm. My mother had been living in her own home for 50 years, but she was so poorly when she came out of hospital we, the family, wanted her nearer Cambridge, hence Home Meadow
in Toft, as this was the easier for us to visit. However, her recovery at Home Meadow was so good that after a month she moved nearer to her home, so she is now close to her friends as well as her family. All the staff at Home Meadow from the Managers to the Carers to the Cleaners are warm, kind, helpful and endlessly patient. It's a very pleasant home in a pretty environment. There is an Activities Manager who organises all the activities; there is a visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and district nurse all of whom tended to our mum. And the food was excellent - my mum gained so much weight in during her time there. My overriding memory will be the kindness and compassion of the staff- they do an amazing job and I am eternally grateful to them for that.

I would say that I am very pleased with the level of care my mother receives at Home Meadow. All the staff are excellent but I would like to make a special mention to the Activities Coordinator, who keeps them all entertained and arranges weekly singalong sessions and other seasonal activities. The
home is clean and there is a pleasant atmosphere. They can arrange things like hair dressing (mum has hers done once a week). All in all I am very pleased with Home Meadow.

I'm very happy with the home, all the staff are wonderful, especially the activities man, he is a very jolly and happy man, and is always willing to help. The meals are very good, and I feel very safe.

Although we have not had a review yet, and dad has been unsettled the staff and management have been so kind, caring and reassuring to us as a family during this difficult time. The care staff keep us updated all the time either over the telephone or face to face when we visit. We feel dad is getting

My mother has been a resident at Home Meadow since August 2015, for the first couple of months she was not participating and was obviously not particularly happy. However with the care and compassion of the staff she is now a completely different person. It was wonderful today to see her singing along
with the staff, laughing and clapping and really enjoying herself. Her appetite has improved and she is looking so well. This is all down to the staff!

My husband admitted for care in mid August suffering from vascular dementia. After eight weeks of a happy residing he developed night time anxiety, needing one to one care. During the following four weeks of similar behaviour,n the staff and management were full of support in every way possible and
he was moved to a nursing home. The support of the staff and management for the family also was of the highest quality. Thank you to all of them.

The activities organiser goes the extra mile. Organising tea parties etc.
Food is always nice and plenty of it, with cakes mid afternoon, and tea and coffee readily available.
Residents are clean - the home is clean and fresh.
Outings and trips every Wednesday.
Chaplain/Church available for those
who wish. Family and friendly.
