Broadacres Care Home

I have worked within the care sector since leaving school. I started as a carer and since gaining my NVQ level 5 have progressed into Management. I started at Broadacres in December and have taken our residents and staff to my heart. I care passionately about their rights and the quality of care they receive.
2018 Achieved System leadership level 5.

I have worked at Broadacres for 11 years and within the care sector for over 20 years and in this time have gained my NVQ Level 4. I love working with the elderly and their families and hope I make a difference to their lives.

My friend works at Broadacres and after listening to how much she enjoys working there I decided to apply. The hours suit me perfectly and the training was really in-depth as I had not done care before. I am thoroughly enjoying myself.

I have worked in care for many years and at Broadacres since 2006. I am a qualified NVQ assessor and have gained a level 3 in Health and Social Care. I am the Infection Control champion at Broadacres, dealing with training and policies and procedures. I enjoy my role and love being part of the team here at Broadacres.

I have only just started at Broadacres and the part time hours suit my family life.

I originally started at Broadacres when I was 16 years old and went on to care assistant and senior care assistant. I left to start my family and returned in 2018 as a bank carer
Lyn has now been promoted to PIC and she is doing a fantastic job.

I have worked in domiciliary care for several years and wanted the opportunity to spend more time with the residents, working at Broadacres is a pleasure.

I have been working at Broadacres since 2015, I had become very disillusioned after working within a large group and it is so refreshing to work in an independent home where the staff are valued. I have recently become one of the Diabetes Leads in the home, my role is to train staff and residents and monitor diabetes within the home, supporting residents who suffer from diabetes.

I have worked at Broadacres since 2013. I have completed my NVQ level 2 and am looking forwards to starting my level 3 in the near future. I have recently been promoted to Person in Charge and can't wait for this new challenge.
27/02/2020 Charlie is still with the Broadacres team but only as a bank worker now as her and her partner are running a local car garage together, we wish Charlie all the luck in the world.

I have been a carer for 8 years, 5 of which have been spent at Broadacres, I have achieved my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care and NCFE Level 2 in administering medication. I enjoy working at Broadacres and hope to spend many more years here.

I started with Broadacres in October 2016 after being out of care for several years. It is a lovely place to work and build my confidence back up.

I have worked at Broadacres for 11 years as a housekeeper, I have completed my NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Housekeeping. Broadcares is a really friendly place to work.

I started work at Broadacres in 2016, the staff are all really friendly and I feel like I have been a part of the team for years.

I started working at Broadacres in May 2017, I have worked in care for 25 years and am happy to be working in an environment that holds dignity and respect in such high regard. It is a beautiful home with lovely people.

Oliver Parsnip came to Broadacres in November 2015 at just 16 weeks old, he was named by our residents and has very quickly become an important part of the home. He is spoilt rotten by residents, staff and visitors and he loves it!!

I have worked in the Health and Social care field for over 24 years, including working and supporting children and their families. I studied with the Open University gaining a level 4 and very much hope to eventually complete my degree. My role at Broadacres is both as full time activity coordinator and a carer, I enjoy both very much and get great job satisfaction.

I have been employed by Broadacres for just over a year, I was lucky enough to come here as an agency worker and taken on permanently. I have worked in many different care homes, this is by far the nicest for staff and residents.

I started at Broadacres in 2016. It is a pleasure to help maintain such beautiful buildings and surroundings. I completed my degree in countryside management several years ago and working at Broadacres gives me the opportunity to use my skills encouraging and enhancing wildlife and ecology.

I have worked at Broadacres since 2010, I am Level 3 qualified in Supervisory Food Hygiene. I enjoy my work and love interacting with the residents. I regularly cater for our events in the home including buffets and cream teas.

2019-Fiona is joining the activity team working every other Friday, which she is really enjoying.

I have always wanted to work in care with the elderly due to childhood experiences and now that my Son has flown the nest I decided to have a career change and do something that I'm really passionate about.

I have worked in care for over 20 years, for 8 of those I worked along side Kim, so when an opportunity arose to be part of her team I jumped and the chance and haven't looked back.

Ive worked in care for over 20 years, since starting at Broadacres i have ben promoted to PIC and I couldn't possibly enjoy it any more.

I worked in care for around 5 years before coming to Broadacres to run activities, I wanted to try something different within the care industry, and activities were something I had always wanted to try. When I started at Broadacres everyone was so welcoming and the residents were amazing!

When looking for something that worked around my family life I came across an advertisement for a bus driver at Broadacres, the hours worked really well for me. I had not worked in care before, but I have learnt so much since starting and love attending all the training.

Following a recommendation from a friend who has worked at Broadacres Care Home for a number of years, I took the jump from childcare to caring for the Elderly. I started in 2023 on nights, we have a great team and work really well together. I am going to start my NVQ soon and train to become a senior.

Having worked in many different care settings, Broadacres was a breath of fresh air. The team are very supportive and works well as one big team. The home holds its values through everything it does, and the health and well-being of the residents are truly at the heart of everything we do.

I am a really new member of the team! I have worked in care for 15 years. The training at Broadacres has been the best I have received within a home. I feel well-supported by the whole team. The home is stunning and feels just like home.

I started at Broadacres in 2022, since joining the team i have started my NVQ level 3 and training to be a PIC senior care assistant. Its amazing to be able to have opportunities here and also have lots of support around me.

I joined the nights team back in 2021. I love my job and the team I work with. Its such as pleasure to work here.

I started at Broadacres at the start of 2023. I am working towards my level 2 NVQ and hope that i can go on to gain more qualifications.

I have my Level 3 NVQ and have worked with in Broadacres since 2014. I am also work in the Salon hairdressing 1-2 days a weeks. I love working in different departments and flexibility it provides for me and my family. Broadacres offers amazing person based care and I love being part a team that love and care for everyone.

I join Broadacres as a bank Chef to help cover holiday and sickness through the pandemic, as soon a permanent position came up I applied straight away. It's great to work in such a well supported home. I love that I can make person centered meal using fresh ingredients. I trained as a chef in 2012 and have kept up to date with my trainings.

I was a trained nurse until I retired. i decided that I quickly realised i did not like not working so i found myself a lovely part time job at Broadacres. Everyone was so welcoming and everyone helps me when i need it. Its great working with such a variety of people. The residents are great.
