Brooke House is available for 35 residents who require residential or specialist dementia care.

Brooke House care home is set in four acres of gardens surrounded by farm land, and provides care for 35 residents, including a wing for individuals who may need help expressing their needs, known as Brookefields. This wing has 14 rooms, and the remaining 14 single rooms and one companion room all have en suite facilities.

The spacious Edwardian home has an 'open house' policy which supports residents to maintain and develop existing relationships with family and friends, and welcomes visitors to become involved in the care homes activities.

Residents can benefit from visits from the home's hairdresser, library bus, chiropodist, art therapist, dentist, massage therapist, and village vicar. There is often a variety of formal entertainment in the form of singing, music and dancing.

Mum had lived at Brooke House for 9 years until her death in June. She always said how happy she was living in 'her' house as she regarded it. She particularly enjoyed the gardens and the views which reminded her of places in her past. She loved to talk about her life and staff members always had time
to listen and share her memories. She was helped and encouraged to be as independent and lead as normal a life as possible despite the Alzheimers from which she suffered. More recently when she became unwell and increasingly frail she was very well looked after and in her final hours, she was not left unattended until her passing. This is a reflection on the home of the care, commitment and compassion shown to Mum over the years and in her end of life care. From our perspective, we have always been made welcome when visiting and have had any questions or queries answered. Their caring and kindness were extended to us at a very difficult time even providing a funeral tea for the family.

Mum has been a resident at Brooke House since October 2017 and has settled in very well. I am so pleased to see that mum is very well cared for by all the staff. You are always made welcome to visit at any time, everybody is so friendly and caring. The home is a peaceful place situated in beautiful
surroundings with lovely gardens and rural views. So glad we choose Brooke House.

Brooke House is wonderful. I had to move both parents here at short notice 3 years ago.
Mum has thrived despite losing her memory. Even dad initially reticent and ungracious has now succumbed to its charms. The house is clean, well kept, loving and friendly. The staff are amazing and so kind. There
are no bells ringing unanswered, no foul smells, just laughter and genuine concern and respect for all residents.

My father went into Brooke House in early Dec. He had suffered a stroke in August last year and then had a fall a couple of months later. It was clear that full-time care was needed. This being the case, he went into a home where his wife was already a resident, but it became clear he hated it and as
a family, we felt quite uncomfortable about it. After searching, we came across Brooke House. From the minute I contacted them, the manager and the rest of the staff have been absolutely first class. My father has also now been diagnosed with vascular dementia, and there is no doubt he can be quite a handful at times with his demands, but the staff at Brooke House have been brilliant, taking every issue and problem in their stride very professionally. Up until this time, I have nothing but praise for the manager and her hard-working staff and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody looking for a Care Home that would give them great service and more importantly, peace of mind.

My father is so happy at Brooke House and his health has improved 100% since he arrived just before Christmas 2017. He loves the staff who are wonderful. The care is excellent and the staff so caring and professional.


I can't recommend enough. His room is comfortable and the food good. My father

loves his bed which is important to him and he can watch the birds in the fantastic gardens.

Mum has been a resident at Brooke House since July 2017 and seems to have settled in very well. I feel this is due to the kindness, care and good insight in the first instance by the Manager and duty Manager who accommodated mum's needs in placing her in the right environment. The transition period
went very smoothly and the manager re-assured me the whole time, which was an enormous help to me. I am so pleased to see that mum is very well cared for by all the staff. The home is a peaceful place situated in beautiful surroundings with peaceful rural views. We as a family are very glad to have found this home.

What a lovely friendly place Brooke House is, I was made so welcome and my Aunt was so happy, baking cakes and chatting with other residents and staff - it gave me great piece of mind to know she was being looked after by staff that really cared. Every time I visit the place is so clean and fresh,
and my Aunt is always presentable and tidy, this is priceless!


I could not recommend you enough to anyone looking for a warm friendly and caring environment for a family member - many thanks to you all :)

Overall I'm satisfied with the care my grandparents receive if there has been a problem it's always been dealt with in a professional manner.
Now we have new management the care home is so much more organised and friendly.

We wish to say that since my sister has been in your care, for the past eight months the care home has been excellent. The staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. It is nice that the manageress hs now got a dog there on a regular basis to help the resident. Every time we come to see her we are
always made to feel welcome. The only downfall is although her clothes are labelled she is still getting other peoples and shoes, which we have to sort out when we go, apart from that there are no complaints. Keep up the good work as it is a brilliant home.

My sister is treated with love and kindness by all the staff and her best interests are considered at all times. Staff are approachable and will always try to answer any questions. The home also has a good relationship with my sister's GP who will be asked to call if there are any problems.

My 90-year-old Uncle with Alzheimer's has been treated with kindness and dignity throughout his stay. The team have managed his dementia without any problem and have given him the tender loving care he needs. As an ex-nurse who expects the best care, I am delighted to say my Uncle has been given just
that. The manager is exceptional as are most of her young team. Thank you.

Brooke House is situated in pleasant grounds with easy access for wheelchairs.
The home is very clean and welcoming, with excellent home cooked food.
My wife has been a resident for over three years and I visit her most days, I am always met with friendliness and told how Dora has been.

My Mother has been at this home for a year now, and her mental and physical conditions have both improved from when she entered the home in a confused state following 3 infections.
All the staff is kind and caring and every effort is made to interest Mother in activities.
She also has her hair done
and nails varnished from time to time.
There is a choice of meals.
