Burgh House is a two-storey building set in the rural landscape of coastal Norfolk and ensures residents lead as full a life as possible in a warm, friendly and caring environment.

The single and double bedrooms at Burgh House have en-suite facilities and are attractively furnished and decorated. Each room has a phone and television point and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to create a home-from-home environment.

The house also has two communal lounge areas, including a quiet lounge where residents can read and relax, or a large, more lively lounge which features a large screen television.

Another great delight is the landscaped garden and patio area where residents can put their green fingers to good use, or simply relax in the sunshine.

Residents can enjoy home-cooked food which is served in a spacious dining room by friendly staff. All palettes and individual diets can be catered for by the experienced kitchen staff who aim to make every meal time a pleasure.

Entertainment is regularly scheduled at the home and includes all seasonal and patriotic occasions and events. The care home provides residents with a range of optional entertainment including: weekly keep fit classes, local outings, quizzes and crafts.

Burgh House also has a visiting hairdressing, chiropodist and dry cleaning service which are available upon request.

Lovely care home. Clean, friendly and always polite, warming staff when I go there.
Both my Nans are staying there and are completely happy and comfortable with everything at the care home. They’re always well looked after and never have any complaints about anything within the care home.

My mother and aunt are both in Burgh House residential care home. The care they receive is first class, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always happy and look very content in their jobs. The catering is of a very high standard provided by the hard-working chefs. There is always plenty of choice.
Owners are extremely lovely and caring people, loved by all at Burgh House. If, and when, I ever need a care home I would not hesitate to try and obtain one of their lovely rooms.

My mother-in-law and my husband’s aunt both reside at Burgh House, and my husband and I could not fault anything there. The staff are excellent, kind, thoughtful and always have time for a chat and a laugh which is so important. All other services, food, hygiene, etc are first class too. Nothing
is too much trouble.

My Grandmother is extremely happy at Burgh House, she has a comfortable life being a resident at Burgh House, my grandmother was a very independent lady living on her own until she became ill, a few weeks before her 100th birthday, since being at Burgh House she has gone from strength to strength. She
tells me the meals are lovely and that she receives very good care from the care assistants.

From the minute we arrived a year ago, my friend felt cared for and content at Burgh House. The whole place smelt lovely and unexpectedly good. The meals, in particular, were homemade and very tasty. It's lovely to know they employ a chef and cook everything inhouse. My friend was somewhat reclusive
but every time I visited, there were activities going on for anyone interested. He loved his room with sitting area and en-suite toilet which was ideal. I felt happy knowing that he considered it home and felt glad and lucky to be there.

Although my mother was only in Burgh House for a short time she loved being there, loved her room and genuinely found all the staff to be so kind and friendly and they all treated her with a lot of respect and care. They went out of their way to help with everything she required to make her time happy.

My stepmother had been depressed since Christmas after her son had visited from Bath, by April she had given up wanting to participate in life in general. We had heard very good reports of Burgh House from the carers from the council. The care home manager impressed me as his care home has achieved
great success in getting people back to good health and happiness. My stepmother is happier now with the care and attention all the staff show and continue to show. I am very pleased we have found a wonderful care home.

My mother came on in leaps and bounds at Oak Lodge. The care received by the three daytime staff was second to none. Her room was bright and spacious and clean. Residents are encouraged to mingle with others and the carers would participate in board games with them. Superb and many thanks.

My aunt (aged 94) was discharged from hospital in a very poor condition and after living in the same house for 78 years was reluctant to come into a care home. She was very difficult at first and was extremely obstructive. The staff and management were very patient and considerate in their care of her
and she is now back to her normal nice self. Thanks.

When my mother came to live at Burgh House earlier this year she was very poorly having just had an emergency operation and had been suffering from ulcerated legs for years. Since then there has been a marked improvement in her health and well being through the care she has received at Burgh House.
All the staff are extremely kind and caring with a positive attitude and she has easy access to all her medical needs. There is a good social life with events happening throughout the week and occasional outings. Her legs are now free of bandages for the first time in 4 years due to the care she received. It is such a relief to me that Mumis being so well cared for in a happy environment.

I am qualified with NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care & Registered Managers Award and have various Training courses undertaken within the companies.


I am passionate about good care and believe everyone should be cared for as if they were your family, that way everyone will receive the best you can offer.
