Burgh House is a two-storey building set in the rural landscape of coastal Norfolk and ensures residents lead as full a life as possible in a warm, friendly and caring environment.

The single and double bedrooms at Burgh House have en-suite facilities and are attractively furnished and decorated. Each room has a phone and television point and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms to create a home-from-home environment.

The house also has two communal lounge areas, including a quiet lounge where residents can read and relax, or a large, more lively lounge which features a large screen television.

Another great delight is the landscaped garden and patio area where residents can put their green fingers to good use, or simply relax in the sunshine.

Residents can enjoy home-cooked food which is served in a spacious dining room by friendly staff. All palettes and individual diets can be catered for by the experienced kitchen staff who aim to make every meal time a pleasure.

Entertainment is regularly scheduled at the home and includes all seasonal and patriotic occasions and events. The care home provides residents with a range of optional entertainment including: weekly keep fit classes, local outings, quizzes and crafts.

Burgh House also has a visiting hairdressing, chiropodist and dry cleaning service which are available upon request.

My mum went into care in July of this year. She is very happy there. The staff are great and very caring. Always make me and the family so welcome at all times.
My family and I are so pleased we picked this home. They all do a great job.

When we were suddenly faced with needing to put our mum into care we were so pleased to find Burgh House who were only too happy to accommodate her. After a month's trial she became a permanent resident. We have been so completely satisfied with everything from the care team through to the management,
the food and the comfort of her room. Following an accident outside of the care home, Mum needed surgery on her knee. On returning from hospital she has been well cared for by everyone at Burgh House. Mum tells us that she is very happy and content and that everyone is lovely and very kind. What more could we ask for.

I am very happy living here as it is so nice to have people around me and the staff are like an extended family. I feel safe and never lonely. My medical needs are dealt with promptly and my personal care is attended to daily and whenever else it is required.
The home is always fresh and inviting to
visitors.

I am very happy and consider this to be my home. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I feel loved by everyone in the home and have even been given the job of head gardener and look after all the hanging baskets.
Lately, my health has not been that good and the staff have
all been extra caring and helpful. The manager even took me to an appointment himself. This home is wonderful and I would happily recommend it to others.

Outstanding facility. I could not wish for anything better to help me recover after my stay in hospital. Superior accommodation. Excellent staff who are all excellently trained not only in the caring but also in all other aspects. Top of my list. Food lovely with a good variety of menu. Laundry service
second to none.

After being hospitalised for 8 weeks it was apparent that my mother was too ill and frail to return home, so the only alternative was to find a care home for her. Some years ago her sister had been in Burgh House so it was decided that this was the home where she would be happiest. Considering her care
needs I was doubtful whether Burgh House would accept her, but how wrong I was, they welcomed her in with open arms and showered her with kindness. Her room was bright and sunny, looking out over the open fields, which she could see from her bed. The girls were lovely, regularly attending to her needs night and day.
Unfortunately, Mum was only there a few weeks before passing away but in that time she was treated with the dignity that a lady of 92 deserves. The manager is a lovely young man, caring and approachable and the staff are brilliant. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for the next chapter in their loved one's life and for their peace of mind.

My mother was resident in this home for nearly a year following poor health issues. She had her own private room, bathroom facilities, television etc. They provided exceptional care to my mother at all times and were happy in their work. They also provide days out and external stimulation.
There are
daily activities which take place whether you want to participate or decide not to. We are unable to find fault in this home which is rare these days and they provided a perfect setting for my mums later years.
I would highly recommend Burgh House Residential Care as a full package if you are in the position to need the facilities for yourself or for a loved one. We cannot thank them enough for their wonderful care.

I was recommended giving Brugh House a look from a customer of mine, so that's what I did.


From the first visit to the home we all knew it was a nice homely place and that my nanny would settle here (which I'm glad to say she has and has become to know this as her home).


Unlike other places,

you can come and go here to see you're relatives at any time of the night and day like you would if they were still living at home (which is not the case in other places that have set visiting hours).


From the very top (manager) down all staff are very nice and approachable and nothing is too much to ask of them, there are always different activities going on and trips out of the home, which my nanny takes advantage of.


I like the fact that we are encouraged to also use it as a home, if we want a coffee we can go and grab one, it really is a home from home. Trust me when I say your loved ones will be in safe hands!

The care and kindness in Burgh House are wonderful. The management is fully engaged with the residents which makes it much more of a home. Different activities most days help keep minds alert and help people chat together and not sit on their own all day in their rooms.
Being in a care home is not
most peoples choice but if it's necessary this home has to be ranked amongst the best.

My father in law resides at Burgh House.
From the moment we needed help to safeguard his care, Burgh House has been incredible. Although there were difficulties with him settling at first, Burgh House were kind and very patient, he now loves his 'hotel'.
Recently with health issues, his care has
been incredible.
While keeping the standard of fun and care at all times the home meets each resident's needs.
We are so grateful to all the staff for the brilliant way they have looked after our relative.

My Nanny has been a resident at Burgh House for over 3 years. She is well cared for and is very happy within the home. The staff and management are very friendly and helpful and she gets excellent care provided. I am extremely happy my Nanny lives within such a lovely environment supporting her needs
and she feels safe and secure. There is lots of entertainment and activities going on and its lovely to see the residents joining in and having fun.

My mother was a resident in Burgh House for 13 very happy years and I continue to visit her friends there weekly. The place is always very clean and fresh. The food looks good too. Entertainment and fun organised for each day, lots of laughter. Staff friendly and helpful, even though they are very busy.

Home from Home!


Support & care is second to none. The manager is very supportive & professional. When my mother moved into B House (aged 90) her Life expectancy was 8 weeks. 14 months on, she is looking forward to her Granddaughters wedding Sept 2017! This has been achieved by a combined effort

from the manager and his staff & the love of family.


The telephone is always answered by a human being! The manager and his efficient secretary are always available to respond to enquiries. It isn't unusual to see him participating in a game of bowls with his residents!


Over the past 12 months, my mother has been taken to 'The Sealife Centre' & couldn't wait to tell me that the manager had given her plenty of coppers for the slot machines! They went out for a Christmas Dinner & were also taken to see 'Aladdin' at 'The Pavilion'. Mum also enjoyed a trip to the Circus. Over the past 14 months, Burgh House has hosted 3 lovely Garden Parties with refreshments & live music for the resident's &their families.

I now have my two Nan's as residents of Burgh House, one has been a resident for just over a year, the other one is only just settling into her new surroundings, who is enjoying the company of others, and joining in with the weekly activities. What is so lovely is that the management arranged a room
for both of them to share, they have known each other for years, one is 99 the other is 97, (they love putting the world to rights between them).
Each of them requires different care needs, which are always met and carried out to a very high standard with, dignity, respect, love and care at all times. All the staff are always friendly and everyone greeted with a smile, nothing is too much trouble for any one of them, what ever their needs are at different times of the day or night.
Burgh House is always bright fresh and airy, and all residential bedrooms and social areas are always kept spotless at all times.
Burgh House is a professional, happy and welcoming home.

I find Burgh House the next best place from home. Cozy, comfortable and caring. The carers there are wonderful so dedicated to their jobs and nothing is too hard or difficult for them to do. Pleasant atmosphere, fresh and love to smell the food cooking. The management is very friendly, knowledgeable

I am qualified with NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care & Registered Managers Award and have various Training courses undertaken within the companies.


I am passionate about good care and believe everyone should be cared for as if they were your family, that way everyone will receive the best you can offer.
