The whole experience was first class. The staff all very friendly and attentive. The food was varied and tasty. The room was light and airy as was the whole building.

I came here for a week's recovery from a major operation and was blown over by the patience and devotion of all the staff sometimes in trying circumstances. The building and grounds have been upgraded to a high standard. I was particularly impressed by the range of daily activities.

My wife spent the last nearly four weeks of her life in Cranmer House. From the time of her arrival, we were both always treated pleasantly and as individuals. The staff made every effort to help and encourage her to eat and even visit the dining room. She was always clean and in clean surroundings.
At the final stage, we were treated with sympathy and compassion.

Cranmer House offers security, respect, honesty, kindness, politeness and the list is endless. I looks after my Mother and need a break sometimes. Cranmer is the perfect location. 15 minutes up the road should I need to take anything for her. Cranmer does activities which I have joined in with. They
include the family as well. We love Cranmer!

I moved here on respite care, awaiting a place. I was very impressed by the welcome I received and the open and airy atmosphere. I was able to sit outside in the sun when the weather allowed and the staff gave me full freedom. The food was excellent. Home-cooked and nutritious. There were activities
most days and less able folk were helped to join in. I was well satisfied with my stay and would be happy to be here in the future.

I am well cared for, fed and monitored regularly. My room is cleaned daily and I have assisted showering. I have a pendant to call for help and showed how to use it.

I cannot praise all the staff at Cranmer House enough. The care my mum received was excellent, with staff always maintaining her dignity and respecting her wishes. All the carers showed such care and were so considerate to both residents and family members during my mum's time with them. She enjoyed
the food and activities on offer and weather permitting, loved spending time in the gardens. The whole process of Mum moving into permanent residential care was made far easier with the help of the manager and her team.

My mother has been a resident at Cranmer House for around two years now. Two more difficult and traumatic ones one could not believe. Covid-19 lockdowns, and the illness and subsequent death of a son. Throughout this time the manager and staff have acted with professionalism, innate care and empathy,
nothing has ever been too much trouble and I know that my mother feels safe and cared for. I truly believe that without such staff my mother would not be happy and content. Thank you all.

When my husband was in care here five years ago, I came to visit him every day. He was very happy, and I was happy with his care. So when I needed care, it was the only place I wanted to be, and after ten months, I haven't changed my mind. The staff are all very kind and caring. Even when I was in the
hospital, I just wanted to get home to Cranmer.

I have been a resident for just over two years.
The carers are always helpful and understanding. I enjoy my breakfasts and choices of sandwiches. I have my ensuite which gives me privacy and my room is nice, looking out at the courtyard. If the weather is nice I like to sit out in the courtyard and
read a book or do a puzzle.

Mum went to Cranmer for a short term stay post a fall. This turned into 16-weeks and care through her end of life journey. The staff were just amazing, incredibly caring and supportive to both mum and our family. Everyone we met showed compassion and consideration for mum needs, which, at times, were
challenging. It’s the people who work at the home that make it special and I can’t recommend this team highly enough.

I have worked in the care sector for many years, initially completing my nurse training at the West Suffolk Hospital. I have worked both within hospital and care home settings, each bringing their own experiences. My passion purely and simply is people, particularly giving support to those needing it most and when experiencing real difficulty in their lives.


I have worked at Cranmer House for over 20 years and feel very proud of the whole team’s achievements and our reputation within the local community. I very much enjoy being part of an innovative and forward thinking company, whose values we all aspire to.
