The Manor House is located in North Walsham Wood, just 2 miles from North Walsham. The home is convenient for visits to the Norfolk Broads and coastline, both of which are within easy reach, and Norwich which is a comfortable distance for trips to the theatre, shopping and concerts using the Home’s mini-bus. There are many places for quiet enjoyment or strolls through woodlands in the home's extensive grounds.

Residents are welcome to bring their own pets to The Manor House which has twice been recognised with an award from The Cinnamon Trust for the most pet friendly home in the UK.

This elegant residential home enjoys 18 acres of well maintained gardens and woodland. The Manor House offers spacious accommodation and this includes a splendid conservatory, two dining rooms and a library, decorated in an elegant period style in keeping with the property. All bedrooms are luxurious and have en-suite facilities. Bedrooms also have garden views with French doors leading to a patio area, and are equipped with television and telephone points. All rooms are fully furnished but residents are welcome to bring as little or as much of their own furniture as they wish.

Care staff are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their skills, but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. Staff are available constantly and provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual.

Residents are regularly assessed to ensure that their needs are fully met. Appointments can be made with a visiting optician dentist, clergy, hairdresser, chiropodist and aromatherapist. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, special diets can of course be catered for.

It's the staff who make this care home what it is, a cheerful, caring and comfortable place to be. They work seamlessly as a team, often going the extra mile to ensure the needs and wishes of individual residents are met. My mother particularly enjoyed the home-cooked food, and there's a good range
of activities, well thought out. I cannot praise this home highly enough. The care is outstanding!

My recently deceased Mother spent the last 11 months or so of her life at The Manor House. Although she went in for respite care, which they were kind enough to offer, she decided to stay there. It was clear that she really enjoyed the three meals a day and she repeatedly told me the staff were lovely.
From my point of view, I knew that for the first time in ages, she was clean, well-fed, well cared for and that I had no worries about her falling at night or needing help when I went away. It changed both our lives for the better and I would recommend it as a course to anyone and would recommend this home in particular. I consider we were very fortunate to have found it.

Mum has been in the home for one and a half years now and is quite happy and content. She is looked after extremely well and gets on with the carers very well. Her room is pleasant and she loves to sit out in the lovely gardens. She also enjoys the daily entertainment and the company. It's lovely to
know she is so well looked after and is happy.

My mother was only at The Manor House for the last 4 months of her life but the staff did everything they could do make those 4 months as pleasurable and as safe as possible. The home itself and the grounds are immaculate. There is a good staff to resident ratio which is a very important factor in guaranteeing
a good level of care. All the staff try to engage with the residents on a personal level and respond to their requests. I have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

Mum struggled with the idea of going into a care home but the staff were wonderful in their efforts to win her over. Their persistence and encouragement were second to none. Knowing that mum has the best possible quality of life in her autumn years was priceless to her family. She was encouraged to
take part in all activities, she enjoyed the fantastic food and her dignity and privacy was respected. Cannot recommend the home and staff highly enough.

Unfortunately, my mother only experienced a short stay from September 2018. She passed away peacefully on 29th December 2018. She experienced wonderful care throughout her stay and I can honestly say all the staff are outstanding.
I and my family and mothers close friend were always made to feel very
welcome.
The Manor House and it's staff are indeed a credit to the industry.

My mum resided here for over 2 1/2 years. During that time she experienced wonderful care. The staff always treated her with respect, dignity and love and kindness. She looked upon the home as her home and staff were more like family. She was very happy there and passed away peacefully on 2nd August

Have just returned home from my fifth two-week stay at The Manor House and once again have been treated with friendship and as one of the family. On each occasion, the rooms have been clean and comfortable and suited to a wheelchair user. The food on each occasion could not be faulted. Hope I shall

I have been a resident of Manor House care home for thirteen months and am so thankful that I find it exactly what I need. I feel so lucky to be in such a place and in such beautiful surroundings for the rest of my life.

The care my mother has received during her stay at the Manor House has been far beyond what any of us had ever expected.
The staff are a lovely bunch and they always go the extra mile to ensure she is happy and comfortable. The grounds of the home are stunning and during the summer, there is no better
place to be than outside in the beautifully kept gardens.
I would, without a doubt, 100% recommend the Manor House to anyone who is looking for residential care facilities in the North Walsham area.

Since moving in during June 2017, I have found the level of care provided to be very satisfactory and all staff are friendly and helpful.


My only slight reservation is that the standard of food provided, however, this is no reflection on the staff.

A pleasant, well-run home in beautiful surroundings.
The staff are great; cheerful and genuinely very caring. They treat residents with respect and are amazingly patient, catering for people's individual needs and preferences with personal attention.
Activities and entertainment are reasonably frequent
and varied.
Food is homemade and good, always with some choice.
By and large, my mother is quite happy at The Manor House and I feel content that she's being very well cared for.

My partner has just suddenly passed away. He had been at The Manor for nearly a year and a half. During that time we have found so much kindness from the staff, nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely. I cannot fault anything. Sometimes my husband was depressed at being wheelchair bound
after spending his working life outside with his animals, but there was always a carer to talk to if I was not there.

Since my uncle has resided at The Manor House, the care and quality have been more than he or I could have wished for. Every carer, workers and manager have been so very kind and helpful especially at a very difficult transition period. I would highly recommend The Manor House to anybody. It's so clean,
the food is excellent and plentiful. Everybody is so friendly and can't do enough. Five stars. Everybody you ALL need to be very proud. Set in beautiful woods and the well-kept garden is a credit to the gardener as well.
