Made to feel very welcome and particularly enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden. The gardener was very kind and stopped to talk to us. Carer brought all three of us an ice cream, most welcome and unexpected.

It was a heartbreaking decision to place my Step Mother in a care home. Nightingale Lodge was recommended by a friend and thank goodness we followed her advice. I have seen nothing but kindness from the staff who are well aware that we live a long way from Hunstanton and are always ready to keep me
updated. There have been a number of hospital stays which have confused and upset my Step-Mother but the staff have worked hard to settle her back into the routine and have even managed to get some weight back on her.

We are really happy with everything at Nightingale Lodge our uncle has really settled there since arriving in February. He loves his outings and activities and provided his meals and drink and his room. Thank you to all the lovely caring staff I'm sure they never know what he will come out with next.
As we are not local it is peace of mind for us that he is happy safe and cared for.

Mum is incredibly happy here and all the staff are caring and helpful. Covid has been a difficult time but restrictions are now lifted and things are even better. Plenty for mum to do and be taken out a lot which she loves. Our lives are so much easier now that mum is so well looked after and cared

A pleasant house to go into, with a welcome from the staff. The general impression is friendliness and comfort. My dear elderly friend has been in the home since 09/2021. I am a retired matron and myself, managed care homes and would be proud to have been associated with Norfolk Lodge. I chose this home after viewing several, looking for friendliness and care and the minute the manager opened the door I knew
I had found home for my friend. When the door opened I heard noise, laughing and music - perfect. My friend tells me every time that she is asked "I can't fault anything" and believe me if something was wrong, I would be told.

I can confirm my mother is kept very well indeed, all of her needs are extremely well cared for. She is very needy now and has to be hoisted each and every time she is toileted, in and out of bed and sat in her chair. The care home has gone beyond the call of duty in order to keep my mother in a care
home and not hospitalised or in a dedicated nursing home.

Assessed as outstanding by Care Quality Commission and I have the same opinion. Very experienced, reliable and conscientious manager and attentive, hard-working staff. Mothers health has actually improved since admission pre-Covid, thanks to attention by all staff go her care and wellbeing.

Our mother has been in Nightingale Lodge for 2 years this July. The home is run by an outstanding, highly efficient, responsive and understanding manager who leads an excellent team of carers and staff. They have done a remarkable job during Covid keeping all residents free from the virus, it has been
an extremely hard time for both staff and residents as well as their families.

Joined: 1998

Sandra Rowe began her career in care 23 years ago when she began night shifts as a carer at Nightingale Lodge.
Throughout her career Sandra has worked her way up to the role of Registered Manager, leading the home to achieve an 'Outstanding Overall' rating from the Care Quality Commission in 2019.
The most important thing to Sandra as a manager is ensuring Nightingale Lodge is a true home to our residents, with the atmosphere of family and full of friends.
