The visitor's room is comfy and clean. Mum seems happy and well cared for. The tests are carried out swiftly and we are welcomed into the visitor's room where Mum is ready waiting.

Our family is extremely happy with Nightingale Lodge. Our Mum has vascular dementia and is well looked after and cared for. The staff are like her extended family, and she is very safe, warm and well looked after there. It is a light and airy care home with a warm, happy feel about it. Cannot fault
the care our Mum receives.

It has been truly amazing how the staff at Nightingales Lodge have managed to keep the residents free of this dreadful virus which has killed thousands in care homes across the country. It is only their dedication, hard work and sticking rigorously to the rules that has kept Nightingales Lodge COVID
free.
As usual, the day to day living is, as always, as pleasant and comfortable as ever, with lovely attentive carers.
I cannot praise everyone at Nightingales Lodge enough for all they have done over the last year.

Unfortunately because of COVID19 restrictions, it is impossible to give a complete review of this residence as we have been unable to view or witness any activities, facilities or staff interactions within the building.
That being said, we are very happy with Mother's safety, health and care. I am
confident that her health is better than a year ago because of good food and carers, therefore I feel Nightingale Lodge has been a good placement. Any queries or issues have been addressed immediately and we are confident she is in safe and caring hands.

During this pandemic (approximately 1 year) not only have I telephoned my mother up to 5 times per week, every call of approximately 10 minutes, has been responded to with kindness, consideration and willingness to help. Even management staff have afforded time to sit with Mum and supported at times
of non-hearing or tiredness. Strict on isolation code care and attention to PPE has been key. Our family have high respect for the team efforts together with feedback. Very well done to the whole team.

A very big thank you to all for your care and hard work looking after our loved ones throughout the past year, especially with the added challenges pf keeping Covid at bay. I have really appreciated all the photos, cards and poems to maintain contact and the weekly phone calls which has been both reassuring
and a chance to discuss Mum's health and wellbeing. She has remained cheerful throughout and enjoyed joining in with some of the activities you have kindly arranged. I have felt more than happy to know that she is in your safekeeping. Thank you once again.

My brother moved into Nightingale Lodge three years ago and a great weight was lifted from my shoulders. I remember his saying to the person in charge before he moved in "If I don't behave you will throw me out", she said, " we will never throw you out". A great comfort. He is always treated with
great respect and kindness. The staff like him and he likes them. They take the trouble to talk about things that interest him. The food is delicious. He always looks immaculate.

We couldn't have known a year ago how special Nightingale Lodge would become to us. The calm considered manner and inherent kindness of the manager and all her staff showed us the way forward. We feel that we have all become part of the Nightingale Lodge family.
There is always so much for the residents
to do if they wish to join in with activities such as wonderful music. Christmas was a very special time for residents and relatives as the staff worked very hard to host a fabulous buffet party with excellent entertainment. It gave us precious time to spend with our mother in a golden celebration of the festive season, and we were very grateful for the warm welcome which was extended to us.
All the staff have enabled Mum to keep her dignity in very difficult conditions, and we feel she is cared for in a thoroughly respectful way.
We will always be grateful that our mother has the good fortune to be a resident in this outstanding home at this phase of her life.

Since our dear friend/neighbour arrived to live at Nightingale Lodge there has been a vast improvement in her health, wellbeing and personality. The staff at Nightingale Lodge are encouraging, supportive and patient. We always find them polite and welcoming. On arrival, we are welcomed with a smile
and offered a drink with our dear friend. We have had lunch with our lovely friend which was very good and will definitely book again in the future. The entertainment is very good and although our friend would rather not attend the offer is always there. This is a wonderful, beautiful and caring home. Congratulations Nightingale Lodge!

Prior to and, at entry, my mother was terrified at the uncertainty of leaving her home. On arrival we were greeted by a deputy manager, some carers, the cook and the manager - what a heartfelt welcome! Hands, held, eye contact, smiles, such assistance which has been constant since arrival. Mum's care
plan, needs, meds, likes etc have clearly been considered and digested. Mum is improving after only 3 days still a little anxious but with such support should settle. Great stuff, well done. A very big thank you.

A lady resident had her 100th Birthday Party this week and the management and staff put on t fantastic effort for her. Food, drink and entertainment, they all worked very hard and they are an absolute credit in the way they take care of the residents including my wife.

Nightingale Lodge care home is extremely well managed and is home for around 25 residents. The home is maintained to a very high standard and residents' rooms are generally very good. The staff are dedicated and friendly and look after the residents very well, often in difficult circumstances with many
residents suffering from dementia and other incapacities.
Entertainment is provided on a regular basis and residents are all taken into town on occasion. We visit the home regularly and are always made welcome.
The lady we visit has been resident for approximately 2 years and is very well looked after. The prices charged are very fair and we would unreservedly recommend this home to anyone.

Sandra Rowe began her career in care 23 years ago when she began night shifts as a carer at Nightingale Lodge.
Throughout her career Sandra has worked her way up to the role of Registered Manager, leading the home to achieve an 'Outstanding Overall' rating from the Care Quality Commission in 2019.
The most important thing to Sandra as a manager is ensuring Nightingale Lodge is a true home to our residents, with the atmosphere of family and full of friends.
