My mother-in-law came to this care home in December 2021 until her death this past week.
She enjoyed living here and settled in quickly, she made friends with many of the other residents and enjoyed joining in with the various activities. Although she didn't eat a great deal, the food was appetising
and she was offered alternatives and smaller portions. She didn't sleep all that well in her bed and staff would often find her sitting in her chair halfway through the night, she was offered a hot drink with blankets/cushions to make it comfortable for her to rest. She did have a new reclining chair which she used during her final weeks.
I was completely happy with the care she received and the standard of the home, it was clean and everyone was friendly and had her comfort and care in mind at all times.
Myself and family members stayed during her last few days and we were offered refreshments and food which was appreciated.
Very happy to recommend this care home.

My mother received such wonderful care at Westfields, such caring staff, they really got to know Mum and made her feel settled and happy. The family were always made to feel welcome, such a lovely place. I would highly recommend.

I was horrified when I saw how bare the room was, just a bed with very lumpy pillows. And a very hard chair which looked about forty years old, not at all suitable for someone like myself whose legs were swollen and need to be raised up.
I was most uncomfortable. I was given a buzzer when I needed
help or to go to the toilet. Answered eventually and was told I would get attention in a minute, and after another 15 minutes I rang the buzzer again. This happened so many times. I was waiting to go to the toilet for 50 minutes. One morning I waited 1 hour 30 minutes. After waking at 6.30 am it’s not on.
Most of the girls and guys were lovely. But there was the odd one who had me in tears with her arrogance.
The team leader did apologise. The food was ok, lunchtime meals weren’t bad but the evening tea was a very sparse a sandwich mean a quarter of a sandwich. Overall I couldn’t wait to get home respite. What respite? No, I wouldn’t recommend this place

Very calm and pleasant environment. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful during the short time we experienced with them. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

I was admitted to the hospital for ill health and ended up being placed into a cottage hospital. The experience I received was dreadful. I was told by the staff in the community hospital that I was being sent into a care home without much of a choice which is why I ended up in Westfields. However, I
was so surprised to find out how very happy I would be as soon as I settled in. I was made welcome by both staff and the other residents. From the management to the cleaning staff they all go above and beyond and you couldn't ask for more caring people. The staff and the others that live here provide me with the companionship that I need. I was absolutely amazed when I moved into Westfields and never even dreamt or thought of living in a residential home but it turned out to be the best move I made at this point in my life which is why I made the choice to stay here. I am so grateful for Westfields and feel that the home has given me a new lease of life that I never knew I needed.

My mother-in-law has now been a resident here for just over a month. I have been impressed with the manager and staff from our initial enquiry into her moving into the home, to her moving and settling in.
On our first visit to the home, the manager and staff were warm and welcoming. We were shown
around by the manager, who informed us of the routines, events and activities put on by the staff. All our questions were answered comprehensively. A home visit from the manager to meet Mum and answer her questions helped her prepare for this change in her life. Now she has settled in and is happy. She has been made to feel welcome and is really pleased with the way the staff have helped her make this adjustment in her life. She has made friends and with the encouragement of the staff has taken part in activities, something my wife and I struggled to get her to do! I cannot praise the whole team at Westfields enough. Outstanding care home.

Our mum was a resident in this care home from December 2021 to February 2022, in all the time she was in the care home, she was treated with the utmost care and respect.
She was contented and she loved the food as well.

My mother is so well looked after here, all staff so friendly and helpful. I live over an hour away and rely on public transport to visit and it’s great that I can have lunch with my mum when I am there.
We are all kept up to date on her health and any issues.

What a wonderful place with amazing staff, who genuinely care. Mum went for respite care and loved it so much, decided to stay. Only wish I was 65 so I could stay there too. Cannot praise the staff highly enough. So grateful that Mum is not only safe but so happy.

I cannot praise Westfields enough, they are all worth their weight in gold, the care is outstanding, everything about the home is outstanding, they treated my father-in-law with kindness and dignity in his last days.

Grandad had been a resident for the last 3.5 years. In July, he took a turn for the worst and was placed on end of life care. I can not praise everyone at Westfields enough, he was so well taken care of and looked after like he was one of their own family members. He was treated with dignity right up
until he passed away and even afterwards. He was very happy at Westfields and we all took comfort in the fact that he was safe and well looked after.

My Dad had a wonderful 3 years at Westfields. It has an excellent management and staff team. Nothing was ever too much trouble for either him or the family. He had so much fun and the day to day living was kept varied and fun-even with Covid! Westfield has done an amazing job at keeping Covid out of
the home and the dedication and care are absolutely of the highest standard. Dad absolutely loved his time living at Westfields. Constantly said how wonderful everyone was. When his health deteriorated we were kept informed and shown immense compassion. Dad was looked after with the highest level of care, love and dignity and we will always feel eternally grateful for the Westfields team for going the extra mile for Dad and our family during his very sad passing. I highly recommend Westfields to everyone. Thank you Westfields- we miss not seeing you all too!

Very helpful staff. My uncle felt very at home at Westfields and staff were always willing to help him or me, with anything we needed, especially during this period of Covid. A special thanks to all the staff especially to two particular members of staff, who were extremely helpful after my Uncle's

Mum arrived at Westfields just over a week before the home locked down. From day one, the staff showed that they genuinely cared. The communications throughout was excellent, reassuring both Mum and the family during this unusual time. Mum celebrated her birthday while there, and they arranged fr us
to come to the some and see Mum through the window and helped her to talk to her other daughter over Skype. Once we could visit again, they made sure that both residents and visitors could safely spend time together outdoors. I know Mum enjoyed seeing her family again. When Mum's health deteriorated, the staff kept us informed and under extreme circumstance continued to show us all compassion. After a short stay in the hospital, arrangements were made to return to spend her last days in familiar surrounding with people who know her and her ways. It is the little things that mean so much, such as sending Mum on her final journey from them with her teddy, so she would not be by herself. Our family will always be grateful for the care Mum received and the respect shown. The staff are amazing. Thank you.

My mother was placed in Westfields care home, Swaffham following a fall. However, this was during the covid lockdown so I was unable to visit until later in her stay. The management and staff were fantastic at keeping us informed and the team was led magnificently by the manager. I could not recommend
Westfields highly enough. Thank you for keeping my mother safe and well during this difficult time.

Although her stay at Westfields was short, we were very impressed by the care and respect shown to our mother. Within the covid restrictions, the staff made every effort to allow us to visit or telephone her and kept us informed of her condition. Sadly, our mother passed away, but at all times, she

My mother has acute mobility issues (and can be cantankerous at times!). After spending short periods in other care homes in Swaffham, she entered Westfields. All the staff there have been absolutely brilliant with her, and although she would rather be at home, she is reasonably happy there. She looks
on the girls, and boys, as friends, rather than carers.

Jack Anthony-Knell

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2022

My career in Health and Social Care started in 2013. I started off working in the local community as a Domiciliary Carer and Support Worker. I met some lovely people and had the privilege of caring for them in their own homes.


In 2014 I started working in a residential home, where I started supporting individuals living with dementia. Then I took a position within NorseCare, where I worked as a Care and Support Worker.
I found a home in Heacham that I fell in love with, so I stayed there for 4 years, until moving to various other homes within the company, to support as Deputy Manager.


In 2021 I started supporting our homes from a strategic support point of view and also supporting Dementia Care as a Practical Dementia Coach, across our 36 homes which I have been nominated for the Norfolk Care Award 2022 for ‘Delivering Excellence through Learning and Development”.


In the past 9 years of working in Social Care, I have met some amazingly beautiful people, which I will never forget, they have taught me a lot, as well as worked with some incredible teams. In this, I have gained various qualifications including my Level 5 Diploma in Adult social care.


I find it so rewarding to come to work every day and see the positive impact on all the people that we support.
