After viewing all the care homes in Swaffham we decided on Westfields. Thank goodness we did. My wife got the care she deserved, we can't fault the staff or the great management. The whole family who visited were of the same agreement. Well done Westfields. You are a credit and thank you so much.

Westfields staff were amazing. Every one of them took the time to get to know my mother and she them. They treated her very gently and with great dignity which meant the world to me and my family. Her room was lovely and bright and spacious and we spent some lovely evenings doing jigsaw puzzles and
talking to staff and other residents. The outside grounds are peaceful and we loved sitting outside as a family, talking and enjoying the surroundings.

My mum lived in Westfields for the last 5 months of her life. Choosing a home was so difficult for us all because mentally mum was fine, it was physically that she required care. Westfields was the perfect place for her from day 1. Meeting the manager when we looked around, and when she moved in were
both really positive experiences and we will be eternally grateful to the amazing, loving, caring and professional carers who cared for my mum with dignity and respect also.

My mother was a resident for just six months. She loved it there. She loved her room, the facilities and the very caring staff and management. During her last three months, they couldn't have been more caring and called me if there were any problems. It has an outstanding rating and having seen and
spoken to several other establishments, I can confirm that Westfields in our opinion is the best.

A very friendly home, my mother-in-law 90 years old loves being there, the management and all the staff made me very welcome and are genuinely helpful and friendly, from the cook to the handyman. My mother-in-law was introduced to all the staff. It's good to hear from her that she has made friends amongst
the other resident's and she wishes to stay at Westfields permanently as she needs the help that they offer.

From the first day of my father's care, it was apparent that the staff were a great team of kind individuals. He was kept very clean, warm and well fed even when confined to bed. The home smelt good, clean and no alarms bells were ringing to disturb residents. Externally, the gardens could be greatly
improved for the residents to use and look out at.

As a retired matron of the (old school), I would like to say how much I have enjoyed my time here. The staff (all of them) are kind, thoughtful, always cheerful and willing to do anything with a smile, I give them 10/10. The food, all homemade in the kitchen is delicious and the menus varied. All treatments
that I had, have been helpful.

From the first visit we made, the staff were welcoming and friendly and it's easy to see they are fond of and caring towards the residents.
Our friend's needs are well met. The staff understand his character, his room is pleasant and the home is warm. He tells us his meals are good and plentiful.

Everyone was very happy with an urgent respite admission. My mother was in good hands and made such improvement, that she was able to return home. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Westfields for respite or permanent care if the need arises.

When I left the hospital I was taken to one of your care homes which was at Swaffham in Norfolk I was looked after very well by everyone. The food was great, the room and all its members were great, I am getting better, mind you the weather could be better. Keep up the good work you all.

My mum (86) broke her hip and required six weeks respite care. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received.
She had a comfortable room, access to several lounge areas; some with televisions, books, magazines etc. and drink making facilities.
The meals were all cooked fresh and of a high
quality with variety.
All the carers who looked after my mum were friendly and appeared to have a genuine passion for their work. Visitors were always made to feel welcome and were able to visit as and when we pleased.
Mum was very happy there and would have been quite content to stay longer.

Care from the staff was beyond words - all from kitchen to care staff, cleaners and office staff.
My dad had been ill and bed ridden for the last few months. The care and consideration didn't stop at my dad but also to myself and others of my family.
When dad passed away all staff on duty came in
and paid their respects. Members of staff then, on their days off, came to his funeral.

I was required to receive six weeks respite care after breaking my hip. This was my first experience of a care home and to my relief I found it to be a positive one.
The home was comfortable with good home cooked food and plenty of comfortable lounges where I could sit either with my visitors or by
myself.
The carers were all kind and compassionate, nothing was too much trouble.
I was happy there and would certainly consider it if I needed a care home full time.

My mother was admitted after a fall and operation on a broken hip.
We were on holiday at the time, so were relying on the care services.
I cannot speak too highly of all the care and attention received, also the friendliness and helpfulness we as a family received.
Nothing was too much trouble and
each time we visited we were greeted.

Jack Anthony-Knell

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2022

My career in Health and Social Care started in 2013. I started off working in the local community as a Domiciliary Carer and Support Worker. I met some lovely people and had the privilege of caring for them in their own homes.


In 2014 I started working in a residential home, where I started supporting individuals living with dementia. Then I took a position within NorseCare, where I worked as a Care and Support Worker.
I found a home in Heacham that I fell in love with, so I stayed there for 4 years, until moving to various other homes within the company, to support as Deputy Manager.


In 2021 I started supporting our homes from a strategic support point of view and also supporting Dementia Care as a Practical Dementia Coach, across our 36 homes which I have been nominated for the Norfolk Care Award 2022 for ‘Delivering Excellence through Learning and Development”.


In the past 9 years of working in Social Care, I have met some amazingly beautiful people, which I will never forget, they have taught me a lot, as well as worked with some incredible teams. In this, I have gained various qualifications including my Level 5 Diploma in Adult social care.


I find it so rewarding to come to work every day and see the positive impact on all the people that we support.
