All the staff are extremely friendly and willing to deliver excellent service. The home is very well kept and clean. The residents seem very happy.

Mum had a short stay under the Steps programme at Westfields and we cannot praise the staff enough. We visited her every day and always find every member of staff we come into contact with to be extremely helpful. They provided mum with the assistance she needed to get her back on her feet after her
operation for a broken hip and so able to return home quickly. They were also very kind to mum as she suffered a bereavement during her stay. We cannot thank them all enough.

Mum came to Westfields for respite care following a fall and fracturing her wrist. Whilst at Westfields she regained her confidence to walk unaided and soon felt ready to return home. the staff were very caring and supportive towards her.

Friendly staff directing me to where my Aunt was sitting. Staff always approachable and friendly as well as helpful. Aunt obviously well cared for. Staff always concerned to give my Aunt a choice of where to eat but encouraging her to mix with others. She is happy and more confident physically as well
as mentally. My Aunt is able to take advantage of the facilities offered, for example, hairdressers and manicurist. There are other activities she can become involved with if she wants. My Aunt's hospital appointments are catered for with transport arranged. Team heads available to talk with me about my Aunt.

My grandmother came to live at Westfields in December 2014 as her physical health had deteriorated and she was no longer able to live alone. The transition to residential care was extremely hard for her but the staff at Westfields were so welcoming and over time they became part of our family. In her
95th year, shortly after her birthday, her health worsened. She passed away peacefully in her own bed and own room. During this difficult time, the staff were most attentive and caring to us all. Something we might not have experienced in a hospital.

Westfields provided my mum with a caring and supportive home in the final days of her life. She particularly appreciated the friendly social atmosphere and thoughtful friendliness of the staff. Anticipant of entering care at 91, none of her fears were realised. In fact she really enjoyed her time there,
much to her surprise!

Before going into Westfields for respite my mother was terrified of nursing or care homes but after a week in Westfields she loved it. She has told everybody how lovely everybody was to her. The staff were all very friendly and the food was great. This place has given me peace of mind to know I can
have respite with the knowledge that she is safe and cared for. She can't wait to go back.

It is always a worry putting the care of a close relative in the hands of someone else and I have to say that the staff at Westfields have been brilliant throughout. From day 1 they made nan feel welcome and comfortable and as well as nan's carer's have become nan's friends. If you are thinking about

I would recommend this home. My brother spent seven months here after major heart surgery. The atmosphere was lovely. All of the staff did their best to help and support him even when he was being difficult, which he could be at times, especially being a younger age than most of the residents. I felt
the staff also understand his problems and were a support to me in my dealing with other services involved in my brothers care, i.e social workers, hospital etc. Thank you all very much you did the very best you could.

I found Westfields Care Home at Swaffham excellent. They were all wonderful to my Aunt during her stay there and very helpful to me during a difficult time. Their kindness was wonderful. I cannot praise all of them enough. Well done to you all for doing such a great job.

First moved to Westfields August 2015, mum came here for 6 weeks rehab after serious illness and a long hospital stay that turned out to 6 months. Initially allocated a very small but comfortable room, but moved to a larger room with a view which was much appreciated and allowed a bit more independence.
Always found staff and management were kind, informed and approachable. Glad to say mum now able to move on to sheltered housing, felt she was always in good hands.

What a truly wonderful place! After visiting today and having lunch I felt I must write this review.
First thing I have to say is how clean it is inside and out. It's decor is bright and cheery, and this continues into the residents own rooms. Everything needed in their rooms is provided, they can
even have their pet stay which is wonderful. There are numerous lounges where we could sit and talk, even a lounge area where we could sit and reminisce over very old postcards, photos and books, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are friendly and respectful of all residents, giving them choices and encouraging their independence. The dining area is lovely, clean and bright. Plenty of drinks from water to spirits available, fresh fruit and even music playing in the background. The food was absolutely amazing, I couldn't fault it one bit, I have been a chef and I can honestly say it was perfect.
I want to say thank you for taking such obvious care and looking after the service user.

Mum was at Westfields for almost two years and during this time the team worked hard to find out about her as a person, her likes/dislikes, interests and her past to be able to discover the person she has once been and support her through her dementia. Westfields has a team of kind, caring, enthusiastic
and innovative people who genuinely want to make a difference and truly made mum feel at home. The small lounge/kitchen setting prevents a feeling of institutionalisation and re-in forces the homely atmosphere. Mum was treated as an individual but the great range of activities she joined in with the small groups. I wish there could be more homes as excellent for everyone in need.

During my Nan's stay here the staff went above and beyond to ensure she was well cared for. They provide a large selection of regular activities and interests, with people coming in to the home to carry out various activities, from small animal handlers, to musicians to theatre groups. The staff are
very caring and genuinely are interested in the well being of the residents. I would often phone my Nan and they would ensure she was able to get to the phone, assisting her with holding it too, letters were always read to her and photos put up in her room. One member of staff even sat with my Nan to write a letter to me with a photograph, which was just the most wonderful thing to receive in the post, such a surprise and so treasured. To the staff they are not just another old person but a person who has interests, experiences and things to share, they give them the best possible time at Westfields. I have to say I would have absolutely no hesitation at highly recommending the home to anyone. It is a wonderful place, tun by a wonderful team. They gave my Nan a safe secure home for the last few years of her life and I am very grateful to them for that

My Nan, who has recently passed away enjoyed her last few years at the home. She was well cared for, did excellent activities, had good relationships with the staff and whilst dying had her needs met. The staff went above and beyond any expectations. Some of the staff attended her funeral and the funeral
procession started from Westfields and we were invited to go back there for coffee and cake after the ceremony too. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The activities they do are engaging at all levels and I would highly recommend this home.

Jack Anthony-Knell

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2022

My career in Health and Social Care started in 2013. I started off working in the local community as a Domiciliary Carer and Support Worker. I met some lovely people and had the privilege of caring for them in their own homes.


In 2014 I started working in a residential home, where I started supporting individuals living with dementia. Then I took a position within NorseCare, where I worked as a Care and Support Worker.
I found a home in Heacham that I fell in love with, so I stayed there for 4 years, until moving to various other homes within the company, to support as Deputy Manager.


In 2021 I started supporting our homes from a strategic support point of view and also supporting Dementia Care as a Practical Dementia Coach, across our 36 homes which I have been nominated for the Norfolk Care Award 2022 for ‘Delivering Excellence through Learning and Development”.


In the past 9 years of working in Social Care, I have met some amazingly beautiful people, which I will never forget, they have taught me a lot, as well as worked with some incredible teams. In this, I have gained various qualifications including my Level 5 Diploma in Adult social care.


I find it so rewarding to come to work every day and see the positive impact on all the people that we support.
