All staff look after me well- including domestic, laundry and maintenance. They are all lovely- "I love them all". I enjoy my meals and the entertainment especially the guitar man. My room is clean and tidy and I have a lovely view.

My father has dementia and all the problems that go with it as well as poor mobility. The staff are all so friendly, kind and always cheerful despite doing a very demanding job. He cannot tell us how he is getting on there, but always says everybody is so kind to him. The manager or senior staff will
always update and inform me of his progress whenever I ask. He gets very muddled up about things but nobody minds this and all have immense patience. The only problem has been some clothes being shrunk in the laundry as water too hot.

I am virtually the only relative of the resident at this care home and, because I live on the other side of the country, I am only able to visit infrequently. On my spring visit to see my relative, I was very impressed by the standard of care and service for the residents.
Several carers/ nurses were
extremely helpful and very attentive to the residents. On leaving I spoke to the manageress and found a very efficient approachable and capable person in charge.

My mother can be very trying but the care home take it in there stride. They are firm when need be but they are always there for a kiss and cuddle not only for the residents but family as well.

I have been visiting York House for the last three years, there has been many improvements made. Having been head of care for twenty five years. I am very happy with the care provided. Staff are always polite, we are always offered a drink, the home is very clean and no unpleasant smells, residents
are clean and meals are very appetising.

As a care manager for 25 years I feel I am in a good position to give a true account of the above home. Having visited York House over a period of ten years, the home has improved in it's care of the elderly over this period of time. From the care manager to all the staff, whom I find to be very caring,
polite, treating residents with dignity at all times. In the last 3 years I have placed 4 residents in the home. If I need care in the future I would be happy to enjoy the good care provided.
