My friend has had to go into care and we are so pleased with the care she has received so far at The Dell. We are always informed if there is anything medical eg. seeing a doctor. The room is light, airy and comfortable. She was able to have her own personal things put up as well. The food is all freshly
cooked and she is really enjoying it. The staff are jolly and very helpful.

My out look has changed on residential homes. The Dell is so lovely and warming with kind staff who are always willing to help, even when they are so busy. We are offered food and drink on every visit. The Dell is clean, bright, warm and has a lovely feel to it. Someone is doing some lovely artwork
on the wall. we are very impressed. Should I ever need to place my mum or dad in a home, I would look at the Dell. I have marked/scored two sections as good, I have not been into activities although the wall art looks great. Value for money I don't really know what is charged but I would be happy to pay.

Dad has only been in the home for three weeks, he has appeared to have settled well. The staff seems very kind and caring and have appeared to go out of their way to make him settled.

Dad has been in The Dell Care Home for 3 and a half months and although his behaviour is deteriorating and he can be challenging at times, he is always treated with respect and tolerance. The staff are always very caring and helpful.

I find the staff very caring and helpful and very friendly. My sister-in-law is treated with respect. She enjoys her food. The activities are good but unfortunately she is unable to participate.

I always find it fine, nice, clean and warm. The carers are always polite and helpful. Nan is always dressed nicely and is always clean. So overall everything is fine.

Since having new management and a change of some staff it is evident how much improved The Dell seems. The home has had some re-decoration which is very nice and makes a nicer feel to the home. I am now regularly given updates about my relative.

Mum is well looked after. The carers are very friendly and helpful at all times. She is always clean and tidy when I visit. There is a good range of activities for the residents.

The Dell Care Home is a very caring and safe home for my mum. She has excellent care at all levels by all staff and management. The food also is cooked and served extremely well. She is very happy and enjoys the entertainment which comes into the home regularly.

The resident is my mother who after two years at The Dell Care Home is gradually settling. The staff are doing a good job, the problem has been getting her to mix with the other residents after living alone for 20 years.

I feel that improvements have been made to The Dell Care Home and I hope this continues as the home needs stability. My concerns over staffing levels and how the staff are managed still remain. I have witnessed a main lounge with 11 residents in only staffed by 1 person. Trying to cater to various needs
and I have to say that basis care needs were not being met and my visit was not at all enjoyable.

Mum was upset when she came to The Dell, having not long lost dad, she was depressed and uninterested in her surroundings. But the girls at The Dell are wonderful, not just with mum but all the residents. Management is there for us to talk to any time. I have never been turned away from them not having
the time to speak to me. The girls are good at putting my mum at ease and say she has fun with them. All of the staff do their best with all the residents. I am very pleased with the way mum is looked after.

Good Maintenance Workers have an eye for detail. Pay attention to the little cleaning tasks that don't take long but make a location shine. And, are also willing to put in initiative when needed, like fixing things they see in need of repair before it becomes a major concern.
Maintenance Workers fix and maintain mechanical equipment. They also care for flooring repairs and upkeep on buildings' roofs while ensuring that electricity continues to function as it should.


Maintenance Workers keep machines running smoothly. Painting floors and fixing plumbing issues and sinks. Also, work with heating systems by installing ventilation filters for odour issues that might arise from time to time.


Requirements and skills :
- Proven experience as assistant director or other similar position
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required
