My dad was in the home and we as a family were very pleased with the care he received, right up to when he died.
The staff were brilliant and he was very happy with everything and everyone.
We all had a good experience which made everything easier at a very difficult time.

Respite care from August 5th - August 20th 2019. Mattress very uncomfortable and would benefit from a cover and fitted sheet. I found myself lying on a bare mattress! The room was not well equipped, no mirror in the en suite, no cupboard and the light fittings above the bed were just out of reach. Also,
I did not feel safe in the wet room. Sorry chef but the food was poor, being vegetarian. Care during the day was very good but not happy about the night staff.

During my mum’s time at Lehman House, she received outstanding care. Every time I visited it was clear that she was happy and well looked after and my family and I were always made to feel welcome. It was very reassuring to know that mum was in a safe and caring environment. It was clear that the interaction
between the staff and all the residents was very positive and the residents had plenty of activities to participate in when they were able and staff also took time to take residents out on day trips.

ALL the staff showed the highest level of professionalism and compassionate, dignified care for every resident.

We are sincerely grateful to the staff at Lehman House for everything they did for our mum.

My husband has only been a resident of Lehmann House for about two weeks so I would like longer to assess them.
As of the moment, I am most impressed with the care, courtesy and kindness of all the staff. They have been so efficient and helpful. They have made a difficult position so much easier.

Lehmann House is light, bright and extremely homely.
Mum came for respite but is now a resident. The environment is stimulating and encourages residents to participate as much or as little as they want.
The staff are extremely kind and well motivated to create a happy environment. Home cooked meals
fresh from scratch are excellent. Overall I am extremely happy with everything that Lehmann House has to offer.

I am a volunteer in the day centre 1 day a week. The clients are well cared for and treated with dignity by staff. Appropriate activities are provided to meet the needs and interests of the clients. One lady likes puzzles and is happy to solve her codewords. Another lady enjoys knitting and this has
been encouraged. Group activities include craftwork and baking. Clients also enjoy the garden, weather permitting. Food is nourishing and there is a choice.
Visiting entertainers are organised.

I am a regular visitor to one of the lounges every Friday morning. As one of the members of the local community club. The staff whom I've met are very friendly, our lunches are well cooked. The lounge is very comfortable and it's very clean everywhere. From what little I've seen of the home I give it
top marks.

My husband has been in Lehmann House for 9 months and the care he receives is great. The carers are kind and gentle. He is treated with respect as am I. I feel part of his care and can visit whenever I like.
I am always kept up to date if there are any problems and if a doctor visits they advise me
so I can be there if needed to be.

Since the short time my mother has been at Lehmann House I have seen a vast improvement in my mother's health and wellbeing. She has settled very well, this, in my opinion, is due to the extremely helpful management and staff who are very friendly towards my mother and the family and do an excellent
job with her everyday needs.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.471)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.471) out of 10 for Wickham House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.771 for Wickham House is calculated as follows: ( (66 Excellents x 5) + (15 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.771

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wickham House is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 34 registered maximum number of service users is 6.8, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
