My mother has been living at Lilac Lodge & Lavender Cottage for 6 months and I am very pleased with the care that she receives. She has Vascular Dementia and is very confused most of the time. The staff are very patient, caring and very kind to Mum. They always seem to know just what she wants or needs.
The manager is very helpful and always keep me informed of all the current events. I feel very relieved that Mum is being looked after by such wonderful staff.

Zena

Zena Stotter

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2015

My career in care started in January 2000 when I started working as a carer and then team leader in a Suffolk County Council Home in Lowestoft. Every day was different and I loved the satisfaction of making a difference in the lives of the vulnerable and frail people that I cared for.


I later became the manager of an older person’s rehabilitation unit and I worked in this role for 6 years as part of a multi-disciplinary team working alongside, social workers, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. When the funding ended for this service I became the manager of the Wellbeing Centre. This involved providing care and stimulating activities for older people and people with dementia.


In 2015, I started my employment with Kingsley Healthcare as manager of Lilac Lodge and Lavender Cottage.


I am proud to manage the home and the team that I work with. The staff are kind, caring and respectful to all residents. The home has a warm and welcoming feeling that is often commented on by families and visitors.

She started work at Kingsley Healthcare more than two years ago and joined the team at Lilac Lodge in October 2022. She has wide experience, having worked as an administrator for over 12 years, some of that time in care homes.
