Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees
for respite stays.

Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or

medications that a GP wouldn’t normally prescribe such as paracetamol and indigestion relief, and any
other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Thank you for your kind comments, we are pleased to hear your feedback about our activities and the friendly reception received. Our priority is to ensure the home is well-staffed to give residents the care and attention they need. If a colleague is unable to attend work due to illness, then we have to use agency staff to ensure residents are kept safe at all times. Our catering team work with residents to understand their food preferences and requirements, whilst offering variety and choice.

I’ve worked at Care UK since November 2005.
I absolutely love this organisation and what it stands for. Being promoted to the role of Home Manager at Mills Meadow has been the highlight of my career. Before this, I was the Deputy Manager of Care UK’s Britten Court.
As Home Manager, I believe it’s important to create good relationships with all team members and residents in the home, as well as relatives. You need to be approachable, understanding and sympathetic, but also firm when needed. As well as achieving all the relevant qualifications for this role, I’m trained as a Red Umbrella mental health first aider.
The most important part of my role is ensuring that the highest quality care is provided for residents at all times.
I love seeing residents happy in their homes – it's a sign that the team is doing a good job. I’m proud to be able to make a difference to so many people’s lives in my role.
