The care and kindness shown to my mum is exemplary. She enjoys the activities and is much more active and stimulated than previously. She enjoys the company and likes her room and the food too. We are very happy with the home so far.

Excellent care home. Well managed across all aspects of the home - overall leadership, finance and admin, care, pastoral support and activities. Efficient, welcoming and swift admission when required urgently. Very, very caring and friendly team of staff who are attentive to people's particular needs
and concerns, including catering to particular diets. Good size home to enable individual support and to deliver a wide range of activities which are well thought through. Retains the ethos of MHA and meets people's pastoral needs and interests. Welcoming to visitors. Excellent new conservatory overlooking the park for a quiet retreat or to host visitors. A relaxed and friendly but organised environment.

My mum moved in at the end of December and received a very warm welcome. The staff have been exceptionally thoughtful. I am especially impressed by their very prompt attention to any medical issues. There is always a calm and friendly but professional and efficient feeling in the home.

Norwood is a kind and caring environment which strives every day to provide not only care needs and spotless environment but also joy and laughter through their activities. They have made huge efforts to not only welcome my dad but also my Mum when she visits. The garden is peaceful and well kept for
access for everyone. I couldn't be more pleased that my dad is being cared for there.

This is based on experience over several years, all the time is relevant as one of the great things is that Norwood is very consistent in its standard of care. During these challenging times (Covid) they have gone out of their way to ensure regular contact is maintained, be that via phone or video calls
- always setting up the video call so mum (who has little computer experience) can manage. The staff are fabulous as is the management. Everyone, domestic, kitchen, care staff, seniors and management have always aimed to do the best for mum - I feel blessed to have found such a great, caring and safe place.

I and my daughter looked into numerous care homes prior to coming to Norwood, we chose somewhere else but unfortunately, it was not the best and things deteriorated within 3-4 weeks so much so we took my wife out due to the poor care, we started looking once again. We found Norwood, everything was taken
into consideration, my wife was supported to spend time in the home prior to moving in and the team really got to know her. As far as myself and my daughter are concerned Norwood is clean, tidy and well maintained.


My wife's room is amazing. All the care staff are very professional, nothing is too much trouble, which also relates to the management staff. Everyone is always willing to listen, and always have time for a chat. In the 4 months my wife has been at Norwood, the team worked hard to support her to settle and meet her needs in a kind and caring way. As far as we are concerned, Norwood is the best!

Mum moved into Norwood 2 months ago. It is a difficult decision to move from a long term home, but the staff made the transition amazingly smooth. Mum settled in quicker than we could ever have expected. Her health has improved with the excellent care she has received.
The staff are kind and caring
and deal with any queries promptly.
Mum tells me the bed is extremely comfortable and the food is very good. The home is set in lovely surroundings and we would highly recommend it.

Norwood has a caring, supportive culture. The staff strive to provide for the needs of the individual and residents are included in decisions about their care. Throughout the pandemic, we as relatives have been kept informed about visiting restrictions and efforts have been made to facilitate other
means of communication such as video chat and the "newspaper". The staff always make time to talk, are kind and go out of their way to help residents and family.

Good communication was appreciated over Covid times. Good range of activities. Easy to talk to staff, nothing is too much trouble. As mum went into the home during Covid, we have only recently been able to go into the home to visit. Therefore it is difficult to comment on what is going on and get mum's
views as she has dementia.

I visited my parents today. I was greeted by friendly and efficient staff. They are, quite correctly, insisting on a negative covid LFT being provided by me, given a new mask by them, filling in a detailed form, and given hand sanitiser. The care home is immaculately clean, and my parents looked comfortable
and very well cared for. We are very regularly kept informed of any changes, such as illness, falls, or unexpected changes in their health. They have a local GP, who visits at least weekly, and any concerns we have, are promptly passed on to her, with relevant feedback given to us. The local hospital in Ipswich seems very efficient. As a retired GP myself, I have visited countless care homes in the past, and I am very happy to have my parents looked after by Norwood, who is caring and very well organised.

Norwood has made the process of moving Mum into residential care as smooth and as comfortable as possible. The staff have been incredibly supportive to both myself and my Mother as she settles into the Norwood routine. The anxieties which made her fretful and tearful at home have eased now that she
knows she has company and a reassuring and consistent routine. Staff have gone out of their way to welcome her and make her feel at home. Any queries I have had, have been listened to and dealt with promptly and it is a comfort to know that she is being so well looked after and settled in her new home.

I have been impressed by the excellent level of services offered at Norwood over more than a decade and even more so during the pandemic when the home has adapted and done everything possible to secure contact with the residents while always protecting them and respecting the limitations and restrictions

Both my parents have been in Norwood for a year. They entered in the middle of the pandemic so we were not able to visit for several months. The staff did all they could to support my parents and our family through what was a very trying and disruptive time for everyone. Things are not entirely back
to normal yet but they are easing and it has been reassuring to be able to visit and see how well our parents have settled into Norwood. They seem content and well cared for and often comment on how nice the staff are. Communication between the home and myself is excellent. I am kept informed of everything that takes place such as falls, doctor visits and any concerns the staff may have. I am reassured that my parents are well looked after, in a caring and attentive environment and are as safe and as happy as they can be.

My stepmother has been extremely well cared for at Norwood. They are very sensitive to her needs and wishes and she has built up a relationship of trust with them. She enjoys the company of the staff, the food and the lovely accommodation. Norwood has been excellent throughout the pandemic in keeping
us informed and trying to make it as simple as possible to keep up visits within government guidelines. It does feel like a very safe environment. Norwood also arranges an excellent range of activities for residents.

Since my mother-in-law moved in last February, as a family we have been extremely impressed by the care that is provided on a day-to-day basis, with excellent leadership from the management. She says, every time we visit, that she is very happy to be at Norwood and especially having her own room. Nothing

My mum moved into Norwood Care Home in mid-February 2021, having lost her husband the previous month. She suffers from dementia and is unable to look after herself on a daily basis. Having moved into Norwood mid-pandemic (covid), it was a difficult time for the rest of the family as we weren't able
to settle her into her new home, or indeed even to see inside her new home. However, the staff were wonderful and made her and us feel completely at ease and comfortable with what was happening. They all showed great support, empathy and compassion. Mum absolutely loves living there and we are in no doubt that she is extremely well looked after and safe; we are 100% confident that we made the right decision for mum to move her into Norwood - no question.

My mother was a resident at Norwood and was very happy there and referred to Norwood as Home. I am a volunteer at Norwood and was very pleased to resume support in Early October 2021 after 20 months of absence due to the COVID pandemic. Norwood has not had any deaths attributed to COVID to date and
this can clearly be attributed to the excellent management team and committed staff at this Home. Although things are very different to before COVID with weekly PCR tests and a lateral flow test on the morning prior to volunteering. The spirit and camaraderie of the staff and residents is a pleasure to see.
