The care is excellent. All teams of carers worked in harmony like clockwork, attending to your every need.
The food was excellent, beautifully presented, not too much or too little.
Everyone knew their job and it all worked like clockwork.
Everyone was friendly and hardworking - and with all their
help your injuries slowly healed - and comforted the sick.

Mum has been at Oaklands for a little over a year and I think its the best thing that's happened to her since Dad died.
I live abroad, and can't visit her as much as I'd like: but now she is well looked after, entertained and happy.

My mother is extremely well cared for at Oaklands.
The staff are always kind and friendly and the manager is very receptive if there is an issue that needs to be discussed.
The lunchtime meals are always excellent and the overall level of cleanliness is good.
I feel that my mother is in a safe, warm
and caring environment at Oaklands.

After years as an elderly widow capably and happily caring for myself and home, the dreaded arthritis took over and I reluctantly had to admit I needed complete care and decided to move into Oaklands.
As I find that explaining how I feel is very difficult I will try to make a list:-
1. Reasonably
happy/occasional depression
2. Feel I've lost my own personality - no-one knows the real me. Occasional one to ones would be nice.
3. Cannot fault the care and attention - medical team, carers and housekeeping staff are excellent and good friends.
4. 2 grouses - laundry care mediocre. Food only really good when Chef is in the kitchen.

When we visit from ringing the doorbell the door is opened by a staff member with a big smile. Sign in any member of staff who walks past says morning/afternoon/hello. We get a cup of tea or coffee served to us while talking tour friend. If we need to know anything there is always somebody about to
ask and if they don't know the answer then they will go and find out for you. It's such a lovely place that even we would sign up to go to when we get older.

Staff were very good. Conservatory very nice. Room was pleasant. Care was adequate. Visiting was alright. Food had too much fat. There was too much frying, except for fish and chips.

This was my husbands 4th week stay for respite care. Oaklands House feels like a house rather than a care home. All the staff are very friendly, kind and caring. The atmosphere is calm with vibrancy. The rooms are spacious and well furnished- everything you need. The food is excellent and well presented.
The sitting rooms are comfortable and spacious. Good personal care. My husband is very happy there which is very important for me.

I was sent to Oaklands for a period of rehab/convalescence following a period of three weeks at a hospital for heart surgery. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The care and the food were excellent. After one week I was fit to go home.

My mum has been in Oaklands House for 18 months. She is 95 yrs old and cared for excellently in all aspects of care. Oaklands House provide care and support in a friendly atmosphere. The management and staff are wonderful. Mum is kept spotlessly clean, always a pleasure to visit. Highly recommended.

My mother in law has settled into Oaklands House. She loves the staff and residents that she knows. She loves the games played and to be able to mix and chat and have someone with her all day (due to my working life I am unable to be with her). The food provided is wonderful. The staff interact with
all residents and seem to have fun at work. Keep up the good work.
