My name is Samantha Davis and I have been a Nurse for almost 20 years now and have spent most of my career working in the elderly care sector; working within management roles for 8 years I find this extremely fulfilling and rewarding. Working as the Deputy Manager/Clinical lead at Spring Lodge since September 2023 I feel there is a great team and thoroughly enjoy working with them all. I have a passion for person-centred care and am enthusiastic about promoting this throughout the home; I believe in providing a holistic approach to care and am looking forward to working with the caring staff already established at Spring Lodge to embed this further.
Job Title: Hospitality Manager
Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years, I have developed a strong commitment to providing excellent service to all individuals. My passion lies in ensuring the satisfaction of those using my services, and I take great pride in exceeding their expectations. At Spring Lodge, I have found a fulfilling environment where I am able to connect with and assist our residents on a daily basis. Working alongside my colleagues has been a delight, as we collaborate to deliver the highest standard of service to our residents. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a dedicated team.
In my spare time, I continue to pursue my passion for massage therapy, finding joy in helping others relax and rejuvenate. I also enjoy taking leisurely walks and spending quality time with my loved ones.

I came to Spring Lodge just over a year ago with over 25 years’ worth of Administrator experience and I am very passionate about being helpful, organised and a friendly welcoming face of Spring Lodge. Spring Lodge is more than a care home, it’s a lovely warm family of staff, residents and families. Every day I leave with a full heart and proud to be part of the Spring Lodge wonderful team.
Outside of work, I love to read, and crochet and my family and I love walking our dog under the Orwell Bridge along the stunning River Gipping.
Job Title: Lifestyle Co-Ordinator
Vanessa is the activity and lifestyle coordinator at Spring Lodge, with 9 years of care experience. She enjoys making a difference in people's lives and focuses on getting to know each resident's interests and hobbies in her role. She spends her time organizing events and activities like bingo, arts and crafts, and sing-a-longs.
Job Title: Chef
I am a dedicated, organized and methodical individual with a keen eye for detail. I strive to produce home-cooked food to a restaurant standard. I have many great years of experience within the industry. I have worked at Spring Lodge for nearly 20 years. It fills me with pride to provide meals that residents really enjoy and I have a great understanding of IDDSI.
On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my family, and listening to music and art.
