The White House provides residential care on a long term or short term basis for up to 31 residents. The White House has lovely landscaped gardens with a number of mature ornamental trees, shrubs and other seasonal planting. The home provides spacious single or double bedrooms, all of which are decorated to a high standard and exceptionally well furnished. They encourage residents to bring items of their own furniture and possessions to complement those already provided and to help make their room an individual retreat.

The White House is located within a quiet residential area of Beccles where its position ensures peace and privacy. The home is a beautiful period house with large windows and interesting architectural details. Its elegant and airy reception rooms are particularly welcoming, and you will find that the interior decoration has been carried to take advantage of the building's individual character. One of the most stunning features of the home is the entrance, which is dominated by beautiful mature trees.

The home also features a garden-based cabin, equipped with two entrance points, protective Perspex screens, intercom system, heating/insulation, and a nurse call button. This facility allows them to provide greater capacity for visits by friends and relatives when they are not able to meet visiting needs within the home. Strict infection control procedures are maintained to keep all residents, staff and visitors safe.

We have been happy with the care and support given to an individual resident for the past two and a half years. Been a difficult time as they were in The White House during the pandemic but everything possible was done to ensure relatives got to go when they were allowed. The care and support given
were done by a friendly team of staff and her last few days of life were especially with love and dignity. The management and admin staff are supportive and helpful. Thank you very much to you all. Would recommend.

My mother has been a resident for several years and has been largely happy at the home. Lately, she has received much more attention and assistance. The staff have been cheerful and treat her with compassion, dignity and respect.

My relative has been cared for at The White House for several months and has enjoyed her stay. We all found the staff friendly and supportive and very good at organising helpful visits from opticians and making sure patients were doing the best they possibly could. She always looked smart with frequent
hair do's and pedicures. Our thanks go to all the staff for making her stay so pleasant.

My husband has recently returned home after a week in The White House. I found him to be well looked after, well fed and generally in as good spirits as he is able (dementia) during and after his stay. The home was lovely and clean, appeared to be well run and organised and the staff I met were kind,
empathetic to his needs and mine, very courteous and very helpful. I would happily send him there again.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good choice of meals. If I don't like something, they provide me with an alternative. The activity coordinator provides a variety of activities. The laundry person is excellent and I always get my clothes back.

My father moved into the White House around 12 months ago, at a very difficult time when our mother was in hospital and seriously ill. The level of care given to my father since his first admission has been very good and the staff have shown a high level of care and concern for Dad's wellbeing. We have
been kept informed of Dad's health and general condition, and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful when we visit, often during difficult times. They have also been very understanding and accommodating of our needs when dealing with matters associated with the wider aspects of Dad's health and financial needs for the future.

My mother was unable to communicate effectively after her stroke so couldn't comment on her care. From what I saw, she was cared for with compassion and empathy. All care facilities have coped extremely well under very difficult circumstances and I cannot fault The White House for attending to my mother's
needs before she sadly died in hospital.

On arrival at the care home my wife was suffering a severe UTI and was delirious and anti the world. It was only the professionalism and compassion of the manager and staff quoting the advice "that she will eventually calm down and be like her 'normal' self" that kept us sane. She is now ok apart from
refusing her meds or to get out of bed. She has very little mobility. We thank all the staff for getting her to this level.

I was able to have a garden visit with my mother. I had not seen her for many months. It was so lovely to see her. She was happy to see me. Everything was Covid safe. Had test and wore PPE. All the staff were kind and professional, and I could see Mum was well looked after. The garden had settler from
the sun and pretty flowers and shrubs.

I have been looked after very well. The manager has been very kind to me, a lovely person. Also, the staff here have been very kind to me and nothing has been too much trouble if I need anything. Very nice people. Food is good, plenty of it.

The home has been very helpful in making my mothers stay a success (despite her initial reluctance). All the staff (from cleaners to management) have been very professional and caring, plus many of them have clearly taken the trouble to get to know her and make her part of the widow "family". She liked
to quiz! Her room is lovely and we have been able to bring in pictures, photos, etc to make it more personal. The care at this late stage of her life has been excellent; she is clean, comfortable and calm. Many thanks!

My mother only arrived at the home one week ago from the hospital. So far, I have found all the staff very helpful in adjusting to a new time in my mother's life. She seems to be well looked after and treated with dignity and friendliness by everyone. I have so far encountered.

Mum spent 7-weeks on respite care and my dad for 3-weeks. I cannot praise the management and staff highly enough, during what was a very difficult time for my parents and our family. They were always warm, caring and supportive toward us all. The manager, in particular, proved to be not only a rock
and was so supportive when things proved to be most difficult, giving me a listening ear when I needed it. I would have no hesitation in using The White House again in the future.
