The White House provides residential care on a long term or short term basis for up to 31 residents. The White House has lovely landscaped gardens with a number of mature ornamental trees, shrubs and other seasonal planting. The home provides spacious single or double bedrooms, all of which are decorated to a high standard and exceptionally well furnished. They encourage residents to bring items of their own furniture and possessions to complement those already provided and to help make their room an individual retreat.

The White House is located within a quiet residential area of Beccles where its position ensures peace and privacy. The home is a beautiful period house with large windows and interesting architectural details. Its elegant and airy reception rooms are particularly welcoming, and you will find that the interior decoration has been carried to take advantage of the building's individual character. One of the most stunning features of the home is the entrance, which is dominated by beautiful mature trees.

The home also features a garden-based cabin, equipped with two entrance points, protective Perspex screens, intercom system, heating/insulation, and a nurse call button. This facility allows them to provide greater capacity for visits by friends and relatives when they are not able to meet visiting needs within the home. Strict infection control procedures are maintained to keep all residents, staff and visitors safe.

My father was admitted into The White House care home after a fall in which he broke his hip and his health subsequently deteriorated, meaning I could no longer care for him. He was well looked after and was seemingly well-liked by staff members. Due to covid, I was only able to visit once a week during
the summer months, but this enabled me to spend some quality time with him which was very important to me and my mother. He always told me he was well looked after and he enjoyed the music provided!

My mother has been cared for at The White House for the past 16 months. I am very pleased with the care she has and is receiving. From the comments made to me from my mother, I know she is happy too. Food and accommodation are good.

Mum came in here in March with having dementia. The staff are very supportive and patient. As Mum's end of life is imminent the care is exceptional. All staff are very helpful and caring.

My father has been resident for about 20 months and during this time his increasing care needs have been amply met by the very dedicated staff. Throughout the pandemic, we have been kept well informed as to Dad's wellbeing and have been encouraged to keep in touch by various means, even when visits
haven't been possible. We are immensely grateful for the huge effort that has been made to keep the home safe during the pandemic.

In my hour of need as a sole carer, the manager helped me accommodate my husband and he has settled very well. As he has Parkinson's and dementia this is not an easy thing to do for him and me. The room is very pleasant, quiet and clean. Unfortunately, it was necessary to move him to a care home much
nearer to where I live so I can visit him every day.

My Father had been a patient at The White House for over two years. During this time, he had received excellent care from all of the staff, and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The home itself is in a wonderful setting, with a garden which Dad loved and excellent facilities.
I can't thank
you enough, for all that you did to make Dad's stay with you so comfortable. Two of the carers also attended Dads funeral, which was very much appreciated.

The carers are very busy with a lot of residents unable to walk. But they do an excellent job and the care given is done with compassion and dignity.
The food is top class and all homemade. The manager is making a lot of good changes and is always available to answer any questions.
The let down is
the things to do for residents which have improved recently.

My aunt was a resident and could be very awkward and bossy at times but I believe that she received very good care.
I always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and always obliging and that she was treated with respect.
Sadly she has now passed away but the dignity and care she received was exemplary
at this time.

If I had to describe this home in one word it would be 'friendly'. All the staff are fabulous, particularly the chef and the activities lady. The facilities are good and the overall atmosphere is fairly upbeat. The accommodation is a converted Victorian house with a modern extension set within a lovely
courtyard garden.

My mother has lived at The White House since end August 2018 she appears to be very happy, she is always praising the staff and she is being looked after extremely well. Nothing appears to be too much trouble, she loves her room and the food is very good even though she is not eating much at the moment.

The staff here are excellent. They go out of their way to be helpful, friendly and supportive. There are plenty of activities in the home organised by enthusiastic, caring staff and they make everything as inclusive as the residents are able. The management have been very understanding and helpful in

When my mother first arrived at the care home, I was rather concerned as the on-line review did not read well. She was initially a respite resident but now is a permanent resident and has settled reasonably well.
After many visits to my mother, I have seen how much hard work and care goes int each
day to ensure that all residents are comfortable and well fed. My mother always looks well dressed and clean. The whole house smells clean and fresh. In conclusion, I must say that I am happy for my mother to be there.

I suffer from PSP and my youngest son said I should go in a home when I fell a couple of times in a weekend and bruised my face. My daughter told me to go in this home as it is nearest to my home environment. I complained to the manager about the noise from another room and was moved the next day to
another room. The care nurses etc are very helpful when I fall and get to the stairway.
