Winfield Lodge is located in the Lower Weston area of Bath. The impressive locale boasts luscious gardens and parks which are home to some of Bath’s many heritage sites.   

Winfield Lodge has recently undergone some landscape improvements, helping to enable residents to safely have full use of the home’s naturally leafy forecourt.

The home is divided into three wings, each encompassing large en-suite bedrooms complete with generous living areas and individual kitchenettes.

The Eveleigh wing; consisting of 11 bedrooms is for residents living with dementia and requiring assistance with activities of daily living.

The Belvedere wing; consisting of 24 bedrooms is for residents requiring residential care.

The Darcy wing; consisting of 13 bedrooms is for residents requiring residential care.

There’s a very relaxed but lively pace of life at a Cedar Care home and flexible about routines: each person chooses what to do, and when the day will begin and end for the resident.

My sister has been at Winfield Lodge for 19 months during that time she has been treated very well as she has been very difficult at times. Mainly because of her dementia. I have been kept updated about her welfare at all times.
Activities are excellent and residents are always encouraged to take part,
I have also enjoyed these times as a visitor.
Unfortunately my sister is near end of life. But still treated with dignity, keep up the good work.

My mum has been in this home for nearly two years and she is treated with the utmost care and respect.
I am kept informed at all times, staff always make time to listen to any questions.
Lots of activities in the afternoon and Mum loves her weekly appointment with the hairdresser.

Excellent care, a warm, safe, clean, cheerful environment. Plenty of well-trained, friendly staff are always on hand to assist. Food is good and plentiful. Fresh fruit always available. Activities in the day room. My father was comfortable, safe and well cared for during his 6-week respite stay.

As you can see from below, generally very happy with the care my sister receives. My main concern is difficulty, particularly at weekends in getting in and out of the lodge which is frustrating, to say the least. Also, the outside gardens around the lodge are seriously neglected which gives a bad impression
on approaching. The baskets would be better removed or watered regularly.

I am generally very pleased with the care provided to my sister but do have a few concerns.
1. With dementia being the reason my sister is with you, I think it is important that she and others be reminded more often, and encouraged about the activities that are taking place.
2. It is, at times, very
difficult to gain access to visit although this has improved recently.
3. The condition of the driveway is extremely poor, especially for walkers.

We are sharing the schedule of activities and interactions with the resident's friends and family every month via email or letter, if you have not received yours please come to see me so we can update your details. We share the activity schedule daily with our residents and we have hobby buddies in place that provide 1 to 1 activities. Regarding the access is something that has not been brought to our attention before as we have the nursing call bell in place for evening and weekends that is replacing the main call bell. I would like to apologise for the condition of the driveway, this matter has been escalated and we will ensure that it will be improved. My father has been in Winfield Lodge for nearly 2 years. Throughout he has received excellent and sympathetic care. He is always treated with dignity and I am kept informed about any issues and involved in the decision-making process relating to his care. The staff are always friendly and willing to
answer any questions I have. I won't single anyone out because the whole team are obviously dedicated to the work they do.

My mum is very happy and well cared for. She is always encouraged to join in with all activities, which she does very willingly. The staff seem so caring and approachable and I feel all her needs are addressed. Thank you Winfield House for looking after my mum. I know she is well cared for and happy.

Excellent care. Staff are very friendly, caring and professional. Residents are encouraged not to stay in thier room. Staff all demonstrate a very high standard of care, professionalism and also personalised care at the same time. Clearly very well aligned to the same goals and treat all residents and visitors with dignity and respect as well as keeping relatives informed of relevant events. My mum has great confidence

The care is of a very high standard and I am very pleased my mother is looked after with so much care and consideration for her needs. It is a lovely environment to visit and for my mother to spend time in. I am very appreciative of what all the staff do for my mother.

My mother has been a resident at Winfield Lodge for two years now. I was happy with the level of care at the start and I am also happy with the level of care to date. All the staff are caring and provide the sort of care that I would like to received and want. The whole team are worthy of mentions,
such as the manager and senior care coordinator. There are many I would like to name, but only haven't because I do not have their details.

My husband moved into Winfield Lodge about eight months ago and he has settled in well. His room is a good size, always nice and warm, and he loves the view over the garden. Staff are good and look after him well, he is certainly well looked after. Food is good and the residents have a lovely dining
room where they eat. Thanks to everyone working at Winfield Lodge for the care they give my husband and the other residents.

Good care home with excellent staff who always seem friendly and considerate. Always warmly welcomed and looked after when I visit. It seems to provide adequate care for the residents and all needs are catered for.

My friend has been a resident for over a year during which time we have been unable to access her savings requiring us to go through the courts so have not paid for her care. Managment have been very understanding. Her care has been very good, beautiful ensuite room. We are always kept informed of her
medical condition.
