Nashley House retirement Home is a family of incredible people. My mother and I chose Nashley House due to the fantastic owners and the staff. From making enquiries to moving into Nashley House we felt loved, respected and given one to one personal, professional care unique to individual needs. My
mother was given huge amounts of time prior to the move to inform Nashley House not just about care needs but about my mother, her family and just who she was, personal preferences and chosen lifestyle. This is, care of the individual, this made my mother feel totally loved and cherished. As my mother's carer I was given time, understanding and genuine care too. I had completed hours of research through CQC, North Somerset and unannounced visits. I had all the information statistical and reports, however, although this was vital to appreciate necessary standards Nashley House gave my mother so much more than the reports and statistics provided. Wonderful!

Prior to Mum moving into Nashley House, I carried out research on local residential homes with doctors and health care workers, and every one of them put Nashley House at the top of their lists.
Mum went into the home 6 months into the Covid pandemic, straight into isolation which was a very difficult
time for her. From day one the management and staff were so caring and attentive, even though Mum was in completely new surroundings, that she felt at home straight away.
During her time there Mum enjoyed the company of other residents and was kept entertained with various activities taking place most days. The room she chose was nicely decorated and furnished and she was able to take many of her own possessions with her to make it homely.
Mum nor I ever had any complaints or issues with staff or management. I was regularly kept up to date with any health issues and everyone went out of their way to make visits possible. I highly recommend Nashley House as a care home for a loved one.

Mum very much enjoyed her time at Nashley House. The staff were very thoughtful and accommodating with regards to her Parkinson's Disease and what would be best for her. Mum particularly enjoyed all the entertainment and socialising with the other residents. Whenever I visited, everyone was really
friendly and welcoming. I would certainly recommend Nashley House as a great place with a caring environment.

If you are looking for a place that can take care of your elderly friends or family - Nashley House in Weston Super Mare is the best. It is truly a home away from home. Even better than that, this home provides meals, entertainment, exercise, and exceptional care. Our family member lived a longer happy
life due to Nashley house. The staff and ownership are amazing. They truly care about each guest/patient, I will say guest since they give you that welcome and warm feeling. If you are considering a place to move a family member Nashley House is a must-see.

It's never a good thing to have to move your mother into a residential care home, especially if your mum was as independent as mine. But when that time came, I must say, I couldn't think of a better place for my mum to be. Nashley House is full of love and care. My mum had dementia which progressively
got worse and she could be challenging at times despite her diminutive size. The staff at Nashley House constantly worked with me and my sister to modify Mum's care to best suit her. They kept us informed at every stage and worked tirelessly throughout extremely difficult times to ensure the care of not just the residents, but their staff as well. I would like to thank all of the staff for the care and love they gave to my mum, especially in her final journey. I wholeheartedly recommend Nashley House to anyone who wants their loved one truly cared for in their autumn years.

Dad moved into Nashley House and immediately became “part of the family,” where he was quickly welcomed into their warm, loving, caring and professional environment. He was cared for with dignity, respect and comfort, which was very reassuring for his family. The home is first class in all aspects,
all the staff took pride in going the extra mile to accommodate and adjust to his needs. They were always responsive, considerate, reliable, effective and provided a very high standard of care. Dad enjoyed the daily activities, company of others and his needs were always met with consideration. Knowing that two family friends were already contented and happy there helped Dad make his decision to join the home. The managers provided much information for Dad making the move straight forward which provided great peace of mind to Dad and his family. We can highly recommend Nashley House and thank the manager and all the staff for their care given to Dad during his short stay with them.

My mother lived at Nashley House for three and a half years and was very happily settled there. Although a large residential home, all the residents were treated very much as individuals and the staff and management went out of their way to make sure that their needs were met - providing a happy and
stimulating environment to live in. The standard of care was very good and Mum was treated with kindness and respect by the patient and caring staff. She loved her room overlooking the gardens below and enjoyed sitting outside with her visitors on summer days. Numerous activities were arranged for the residents and Mum especially enjoyed the monthly visits to the home by members of nearby Christchurch, who provided craft activities, singing and conversation, along with the usual afternoon tea.
We are very grateful to the management and staff at Nashley House for all their care and dedication, especially during 2020 when the Covid crisis brought new challenges and an extra workload.

My father was a resident at Nashley House for five months, having had previous respite visits and I always found the management and staff very helpful and informative. They looked after my father well, helping him to be independent, looking after him with respect and dignity plus encouraging him to
get involved with other residents. There are so many lovely activities for residents to participate in, plus a good library which my father enjoyed and attractive gardens to sit out and meet friends. The food is varied and choices are given, with healthy eating a priority along with residents being able to eat together in a social environment. The rooms are nicely presented and were always kept clean and tidy. Clothes were washed daily and my father always looked well presented, enjoyed having lots of company and help was always at hand when needed. I would not hesitate in recommending Nashley House, as they constantly work so hard to make it a ‘home from home’ experience.

The care given to my mother at Nashley House was excellent. The staff were well organised, thoughtful and kind. She was a good friend, neighbour and devoted Christian who served her community through the church. There was always a welcome for our friends in her home and this welcome was extended to
the many lodgers we had, from all the different parts of Commonwealth community, who lived with us when we were children. It was like growing up in the United Nations. At 99 years old she moved into Nashley House where the staff there cared for her individual needs, paying due care and attention to her wishes. They were always warm, friendly and welcoming to our family and friends who visited. During the Covid crisis, they did everything possible to protect the residents. I am grateful for their considerate treatment. They made the last three years of my mother's life very comfortable for her, showing the respect due to a wonderful woman and kind and loving mother, wife and grandmother.

Nashley House catered for all my Dad's needs emotionally by sitting with him, reassuring when anxious etc. The food and activities kept his mind and body stimulated. Food was to his taste, if he didn't like what was offered he was asked what he would like and that was then made.

My father was a resident at Nashley House from March 2018 until November 2019. From the time he moved into this friendly, homely home, he was treated with care, comfort, dignity and respect from all the staff. It took Dad a while to adjust to this complete change in his life after moving from Plymouth
to be closer to his family. After a few months, he found he had another family who also loved and cared for him - Nashley House. The home is spotless and welcoming. Dad passed away peacefully here in November 2019.

My mother was in Nashley House for 6 years until she passed away in August. Mum was well looked after by the kind staff and management. She was always dressed nicely and I was always welcomed. The manager and the carer were with mum when she passed away and reassured me that she went peacefully.

The care she has received can be described as nothing less than outstanding.
The staff have gone above and beyond to support my grandma in all aspects of her life whilst at Nashley House and their care, compassion and professional knowledge

is excellent.


The owners are wonderful, compassionate people who run the home in the best way possible and I couldn't thank them and their team enough for how they have cared for my grandma.

Our Mother has been resident at Nashley House for 5 years and the standard of care she has received has been outstanding. The managers and staff without exception are caring and professional. Our Mother has been treated with the utmost respect and we have been particularly impressed with the way they
have treated her as an individual with her own specific needs and making it feel like her home. As a family, we have been kept informed every step of the way and are always made to feel welcome. We cannot recommend Nashley House highly enough and would like to thank the manager and all the staff for the care they have given our Mother and in making us feel secure that she is safe and well cared for at all times in what could have been a very stressful period in all our lives.

My mother went to live a Nashley due to inability to self-care at home because of increasing dementia. While she was still able she was encouraged to join in with numerous in-house activities and trips out to stimulate her interests and maintain her quality of life. The surroundings and facilities were
always good and she enjoyed the lovely garden. Recent management changes have improved all aspects of the home, including the furnishings and daily routines. All the staff, at every level, have always been kind, considerate and extremely caring, looking after my mother's every need as he dementia progressed. A massive 'thank you' to everyone at Nashley! You are all doing an amazing job!

My father has been a resident of Nashley House since 8 June 2018 when he was placed there from hospital after a fall and from the moment he got there he has been very happy - so much so that he didn’t want to return to his own house and actually had a few tears of joy and relief when it was decided
he could stay. He feels safe and comfortable and actually refers to Nashley House as his home. The management and staff are excellent and all so extremely caring, kind and friendly, not only to my father but to myself also - especially when I’ve found his illness a little hard to accept. They keep me informed of all that is going on with my father, his care and anything appertaining to the home. They are there with encouragement, help and advice whenever needed. There’s always a warm welcome and congenial atmosphere. There’s plenty of activities for all ranges of tastes and they are always striving to do the very best for the quality of life and wellbeing of their residents and are doing an excellent job.

My Brother died in early May 2018 just 2 weeks after the diagnosis of terminal cancer. In the 3 years of his residence in Nashley House, he had come to call it 'my home'. The care he received was 'personalized'. The atmosphere was relaxed and comforting and I was welcomed as a visitor at almost any
time of the day - very helpful as I live a 4 1/2 hour drive away. Staff were always cheerful and positive, even in the face of great difficulties. Manager liaised well over illness and hospital visits and were readily available by phone. It was expected that my Brother would have to move from Nashley as his cancer got worse but it was so quick, he was too ill to be moved. Nashely committed to keep him in his own room and brought in all the extra nursing care required right to the end so he died peacefully in 'his home'. Nashley even provided a room for his Daughter (who lives abroad) to stay until he died. He could not have been in a better place for his final years.
