Firgrove House, rated OUTSTANDING Jan 2019 is a Georgian period property providing residential care as well as dementia care. The home is ideally situated a short walking distance from Yate Shopping Centre and the newly opened Riverside development with access to shops, cinema, cafes, a library, health centres and links to local public transport services.

Client rooms are comfortably furnished to create a homely environment and are equipped with TV aerials and call bells. Some rooms have en-suite facilities, some private wash and commode facilities. The home has client friendly computer equipment and Wi-fi facilities.

Firgrove House invests in training staff to ensure exemplary standards of care for clients. 24 hour care is in place within both the Main House and Coach House, day and night. At Firgrove House, carers always remember that they are working within the residents' home, their private space, therefore all residents are treated with the utmost dignity and respect at all times.

Firgrove House ensures that clients enjoy daily activities, organised events, entertainment and outings. They also provide Day Care, seven days a week.

My Nan has been residing at Firgrove for a while now, she has settled really well and is calling Firgrove home now which to us is great. Nan always looks lovely and is always telling us what she has been up to. The staff make Firgrove, they are jolly and caring. Management have gone above and beyond
to keep her safe from a safeguarding issue we had previously with Nan. Management always keep us up dated on anything medically which Nan has going on and we trust them massively.
The Cooks are great and make home made meals and Nan can be ' fussy' with food but the cooks will make her whatever she would like. Activities are good, we see a lot of what the residents get up to, it's great to see them always smiling.

This home is so lovely. I was always 100% happy. The carers and staff are kind caring and deal with your every need. The manager and her team are amazing. Always ready to listen. They do lots of activities and have lots of singers etc visiting. They always celebrate things like Easter Christmas any
royal celebrations etc. The home is very clean and the food is always delicious. Unfortunately my dear mum has passed away now but I was so so happy with her care and I would recommend Firgrove 100%. One other thing is that because there is no overcrowding everyone gets attention and listened and spoken to. Yes very happy indeed. Thank you.

My grandmother has been a resident of Firgrove for the past couple of years.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, management have even offered to have a small get together for our family for my grandmothers upcoming birthday. They do a variety of activities and family events with the residents which

Visited my friend today and she has never looked better. Her appearance was beautiful, had her make up and hair done, clean and tidy she looked like my dear friend who always spent time on her appearance. The staff and managers were lovely couldn't do enough for us and my friend. My friend (resident)
couldn't complement the service enough. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of my dearest friend of 50 years.

Everything at Firgrove makes me feel less guilty about my mum having to be a resident. All of the staff are extremely friendly and proactive, ensuring all resident's needs are met. My mum is not the easiest of residents and is quite demanding but the staff cope with it really well. The management leads
by example and is always available for a chat or to answer queries.

Such a lovely homely, family feel, my grandma is so well looked after and very happy here. The home offers lots of activities for residents and holds lovely events for families and we always feel welcomed. My close Family member is currently at Firgrove House, they moved in around a month ago and settled really well and quickly which has made the transition for the family easier. whilst completing this form at firgrove, the meal was presented beautifully, and my relative ate it all. you could smell the
home made baking as soon as you entered the door. The staff have been very welcoming and helpful, the managers are very easy to talk to and they give reassurance and make sure the residents are looked after and go above and beyond.

My auntie has been at Firgrove House for a couple of years now. I'm unable to visit as often as I would like due to work commitments. Firgrove has given the family peace of mind knowing that auntie is well cared for she looks great when we visit always happy and smiling and interacting with staff and
other service users the meals are well presented and smell delightful, and the staff are always willing to help if needed and keep family updated with appointments or activities that are going on in the home. Auntie is her old self again thank you Firgrove staff for all you do for auntie and her family.

When I first visited Firgrove it just felt right, I knew my mum would settle there and I wasn't proved wrong. Mum really enjoyed her stay. The food she said was excellent as was the care provided. The staff were great nothing too much trouble. Mum made lots of new friends and was looking forward to

We put Mum into this home three years ago. We looked at a few homes and didn't want to put Mum in them as they were too big and didn't feel right. As soon as we walked into Firgrove, we liked it - was home from home. Lovely staff, and everyone had a smile. We knew straight away she would be safe and

Living in the area, we already knew Firgrove House had an excellent reputation and this was confirmed as soon as Mum moved in. She was very well looked after from the beginning and she often said in my pod visits /facetime calls (she lived there during covid times) that everyone was lovely and that
she was well looked after. What more can you want? Mum had dementia but there was a good understanding of her needs and she was treated with love, respect and dignity. There was excellent support for us as a family too, we were given information, were listened to and made to feel part of mum's care. The manager is excellent... friendly and professional and clearly cares about those under her care. The staff were all lovely and have worked so well to cope with the extra challenges that covid has brought. Sadly, mum passed away, in hospital, due to a sudden illness (not covid). Communication, support and care was excellent throughout this time. Well done and a great big thank you!
