Trecarrell Care Home is a specialist residential home registered for 44 residents who have varying degrees of dementia. Care is tailored to the unique needs of the individual

All rooms also have a call bell system in case of emergencies, or in case residents need assistance in the night time.

Residents are encouraged to adorn their bedrooms with personal belongings so that it feels like a home from home, and fresh and nutritious food is provided by apetito.

My Mum was in Trecarrel for just shy of five years. It was the hardest decision my family and I had to make placing her in a home, the guilt and 'what ifs' were excruciating!


Knowing then what we know now the decision would have been easier. The staff became like an extended family, kind, welcoming

and informative to Mums care and needs. The first few years Mum improved and became very mobile again, my Dad would take her out regularly and the staff would encourage her to keep active. The latter years her needs were more complex but still, she was always relaxed, comfortable and content in her surroundings. The home always smelt fresh and clean with windows open and rooms aired. The elevated position of the building gives it a bright and positive feel and the views across to the coast and countryside beyond can ease the saddest of days, whatever the weather.

The care my wife received at this nursing home was without doubt the finest and most caring anyone could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble. The attention and dignity they afforded my wife along with the care and comfort they gave to my wife and myself throughout her illness was outstanding.

I have been in the care industry since the age of 16 and have a wealth of knowledge in Dementia care. I have worked my up from HCA to my current role as a Registered manager gaining all my qualifications while working.


I have a passion for ensuring that all residents in my care receive person-centred care from my team of staff who are kind caring and compassionate, we strive to ensure that they feel safe, and cared for and that this is their home.
