After looking long and hard we selected Fairfields and have never had to doubt our choice. My dad is not the easiest to please but the staff here have been amazing with him. He has gone through a lot and they step up every time, not least in the current Covid-19 crisis. Not one person has been infected.
The accommodation is excellent, the setting is beautiful and peaceful and the distractions for residents are routine and regular. My only gripe would be the food is not stunning, in fact, a little limited but certainly adequate. Plentiful cups of tea and biscuits and a few supplies for personal consumption more than compensate because everything else is pretty near perfect. Most important I feel nothing but trust for my dad's care and that is hugely reassuring.

I've always been impressed with the care and consideration towards my cousin - he chose to go into care himself as he was lonely in his home alone - it was the best decision ever. His every need is met with kindness, dignity, compassion and competence. Since lockdown (which they acted swiftly upon,
thank goodness) they have kept me informed of all activities and updated me on my cousin. He says he's happy and enjoys living there. They have sent photos and a commentary on their weekly activities (made a fuss of my cousin on his birthday) which is very comforting for relatives that can't visit.

Right from the start of our initial difficult situation where Dad had been hospitalised but not well enough to move back to his own home, the manager at Fairfield was a voice of support and reassurance. On our first visit, we were delighted with the stunning views in the countryside and a very competent
and friendly staff team. We were so relieved to find somewhere like this, welcoming and helpful. Dad has been a resident now for a few years and we just wanted to formally say thank you to all the team. We really appreciate the personal care you are giving to Dad. As currently we are not able to visit (with the (Covid-19 restrictions) your regular newsletters and emailed photos are so welcome. All the lovely entertainments you have recently been putting on for the residents (VE Day, Birthday cakes and celebrations, and BBQ) are so cheering - you are doing an incredible job. A big thank you from all of our family for looking after Dad (Pops) so brilliantly and long may it continue!

We welcome all reviews from visitors or families and are grateful for the support family have given us through this difficult time for us all. Any family or visitor is welcome to phone the management to discuss any issues or points they would like to raise with us. We are constantly looking to improve our service and their input is valuable to us. We hope to be able to move forward as soon as it is safe to do so and will be discussing this also with families throughout the process as your thoughts count.

My Father has been a resident at Fairfield Country Rest Home for nearly 12 months in June 2020. He entered the home initially for respite care as through Ill-health he could no longer stay alone at his home. He has since become a permanent resident. Through excellent care from the wonderful staff, he
has been nursed back to good health and now enjoys a better quality of life than he has in years! Initially, it was the building itself and the views that sold the place to me. However, the genuine care and attention from the staff are the deciding factors in keeping my dad there. They involve the families in every aspect of our loved one's lives and recently during these terrible uncertain times they have been exceptional in helping me keep in touch with my Dad. We have had FaceTime sessions, regular emails and photos to help not feel as isolated from him. Activities have been devised following social distancing guidelines to keep residents distracted and entertained. A1 service x x

Our mum was placed in Fairfield Country Rest Home in April 2020.
Due to Covid-19, myself or any family member was not given the opportunity to visit this home prior to mum going there. The staff within Fairfield are amazing. They keep us informed by email, send photos alongside organising FaceTime
to family members on a regular basis. We can see from the photographs and telephone conversations with her she is being well cared for which puts our minds at ease during these difficult times.
Due to mum being in hospital prior to going to stay at Fairfield, she has not seen any family member since the middle of March.
We are so grateful to all the staff both at the hospital, and this beautiful home for the care they have and are giving mum. It is so lovely for us all to see a smile back on her face again.
