The Green is an attractive home which has had an extensive internal refurbishment, with lots of wonderful spaces for the residents to relax with their loved ones, who are welcome at any time.

At the centre of the home is a beautiful, enclosed courtyard garden, where residents enjoy gardening activities. This summer they’ve loved growing their own produce, harvesting it for the chef to use in the kitchen. There are raised planters for residents in wheelchairs to enjoy gardening and sheltered seating so they can enjoy the fresh air even if it’s raining!

As well as residential and dementia care, the team also offers respite care breaks, which can be pre-booked and are ideal for family carers who would like to take a short break themselves, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

There are lots of welcoming, communal lounges and dining rooms, and a spacious, light and airy open plan entrance room with a piano off the main glass atrium. With so many spaces to enjoy, residents and their families really can enjoy quality time together.

The Green is a vibrant, thriving home where the team is passionate about enriching the lives of their residents with so many activities and experiences. From games and visits from well-behaved dogs, to arts and crafts and baking.

Mealtimes are a real highlight of the day, with an extremely talented chef who prepares delicious, home-cooked meals and even makes chocolates for the residents, as well as freshly baked cookies and cakes every day for afternoon tea.   

The local community is embraced into life in the home, from local singers and musicians to animal therapy groups, who bring along everything from rabbits to snakes. The residents also enjoy regular exercise sessions and appointments with a mobile hairdresser in the home’s salon.

Next door to Redruth Rugby Football Club, The Green is also a ten-minute walk from the town centre.

The Green is a caring, welcoming residence. My mum has been here for 3 years and experienced many changes over that time, but the kindness of staff has always shone through and the home has adapted to her changing needs. There are generally daily and weekly activities, either through dedicated staff
or outside providers. Residents are encouraged to be involved. Singing groups are always a hit. More exercise-led classes could be beneficial.


The staff and management are kind, responsive, considerate and respectful - from the interactions I have experienced and observed. Previously, I have had concerns over staff levels and consistency of the same staff being on shift, but managers are working hard to turn this around, to negate the need for agency staff. It seems to be working.


Overall, mum is happy and cared well for, this is her home and that's most important to me. Lastly, I am listened to as a family member and my views and those of my mum are always taken seriously.

I had a week's respite stay at The Green it was my second stay. All of the staff were fantastic, caring couldn't have done any more for me. I look forward to returning quite soon. Thanks most sincerely to everyone.

Our initial visit to view the home was very welcoming and although it was a very difficult time for us my partner seemed to settle in quite quickly. He is being looked after by very caring and patient staff and I am pleased to be able to visit him at any time when I can appreciate the hard work of the
staff there.

Coming to terms with placing a loved one in full-time care is traumatic, however, what the team at the Green have achieved, for my mum and us as a family, is how to make that process as natural and dignified as possible. We have made a tough decision on Mum's behalf and the response and commitment we
experience from all those who work at The Green gives us the confidence we need to know we have made the right decision.

The staff are friendly, caring and make it a nice place to visit. I am happy my father is looked after well in most aspects, in particular the positive relationship he has with one care worker.
However, at times I have been concerned with some aspects of the communication liaising with external agencies
on important matters, hence why I have not given a higher rating.

My aunt is well looked after. On the day I visited she did have food around her face which the carer promptly removed when I pointed it out. She also has a sore eye which was very mucky. Other than that she seems happy and well cared for which is all I wish for her.

The Green is a very bright and friendly place. The staff are very obliging and seem to cope well with dementia patients such as my mother who can be very challenging at times.
Management is helpful when needed although sometimes difficult to contact by phone.

Mum is very well cared for at The Green. She has a comfortable and peaceful life there and enjoys the excellent meals on a regular basis. The carers are very kind and thoughtful giving her the best life possible with the progression of her Alzheimers Disease.

Staff are always very attentive towards Mum. Patient, considerate and always cheerful. She is kept fresh and clean at all times, as is her room.


I am informed if there are any concerns whatsoever which puts my mind at rest.


I have marked activities as satisfactory - Mum loved her music, but after

reading minutes of a recent meeting, this is being addressed, so looking forward to the outcome.

Mum has been a resident for just over 2 years.
She is always clean and tidy when I visit.
Staff are friendly.
The manager's door is always open to discuss any issues, of which there have only been a couple. Nowhere is perfect all the time.
Food is of a very high standard with choices.

From the beginning, the management have been excellent and as helpful as they could be. The staff are all lovely and seem to really care about the residents. All the staff, including the kitchen staff, know everyone's name. The Green is a well thought out home providing as much comfort as they can
in what often are very difficult circumstances. I have looked at a lot of homes and this one is way ahead in my opinion. Thank you.

Our mother has lived at The Green for several years, she has dementia. We are a large family who visit regularly. Staff at The Green are friendly, caring and very hardworking, however there are times when more staff are needed to support residents at meal times etc. The Green is clean, tidy, warm
and welcoming. The food is plentiful and a very good quality. General thoughtfulness is excellent, for example, birthday cakes are provided and visitors are made welcome. We are always made aware of falls etc. Mum always seems happy and comfortable when we visit her.

Excellent continuing care for my mum as she continues to decline. Home does its best to ensure she gets to enjoy life as much as possible despite a decline in her dementia. Always lots of smiles, laughter and activities, despite all the hard work it takes to keep residents clean, fed, entertained and
safe. Such hard work but I am so very grateful. A great dedication that is much appreciated by me.

Residents enjoy a pleasant, safe home with their own room and ensuite. The lounges are in each pod, so residents can interact with six or seven others. Staff are well trained and offers friendly care and help. Management are always available, food is good and relatives can join in for Christmas meals
etc. There is a secured terraced garden and in a separate area, there are chickens to feed.

Mum has been in The Green since November and we couldn't be happier. She loves the activities every day and Health Care Assistant does a grand job. The care is excellent, the careers do an amazing job with all the residents. Feel very happy with mums care here.
