Anchor’s Kimberley Court, in Newquay, is a purpose-built home supporting up to 36 older people to live a comfortable lifestyle. It is located in a quiet area of the town whilst being within approximately half a mile of the seafront and beach.

The home provides a range of residential care services, including convalescence care; respite care; trial stays and long-term care for those who require assistance with personal care. Kimberley Court also provides supportive care for older people living with dementia.

The care team at Kimberley Court get to know individuals and work with them to organise stimulating activities which match individual and group interests, both in the care home as well as in the local community. Each customer’s individual needs are regularly assessed to ensure their care plans meet their lifestyle requirements.

Meals are cooked fresh and from locally sourced and seasonal ingredients where possible by a highly trained Chef Manager and kitchen staff.

I would highly recommend Kimberley Court. The staff are so friendly, and they do a lot of activities; they do not just leave the clients to sit in a row in chairs. It is always clean.

I recommend Kimberley Court care home, my wife as been has at Kimberley Court for 5 years now and as been well looked after. The staff are great, my wife always looks clean and well fed every time I visit her, very caring people I can't thank them enough.

Kimberley Court was recommended by another care home in the area that could not help at the time. This in itself was a recommendation. I had spent hours on the phone trying to secure short-term respite care for my Aunt for whom I have a Welfare Deputyship (CoP). I was having no success and the NHS needed
to discharge her. Covid restrictions made others unwilling to accept any new clients. I desperately needed help to get my Aunt somewhere safe and secure and in a dementia-friendly environment. The manager and the Kimberley Court staff came to our rescue and said "Yes" we can help. From that moment on, I was in the hands of caring professionals, and a care home environment that for just 4 weeks respite looked after all my Aunt's needs and treated her as if she was a long-term guest. The positive "we can do" attitude comes through at all levels, and my Aunt's short stay was "her holiday" away from home. Thank you to the manager and all your team for being there when my Aunt needed you most.

We found that it is a lovely environment for people with difficulty. The level of care is excellent. Everybody seemed to enjoy the experience - the staff were so switched on to the special things that are required in order to enjoy living with others.

My wife who has Dementia has been a resident since June 2020. My only contact with her has been outside with a care worker. This has enabled me to know that she is happy, contented and so well cared for. The staff are always patient, kind and treat her with dignity. This gives us as a family great peace
of mind. During these unprecedented times, the home has been so well guided and managed. Thank you to everyone!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kimberley to anyone requiring help with a loved one.
Until now, my only contact inside the home has been via virtual tours so I shall look forward to visiting my wife within Kimberley when this becomes the norm.

We chose Kimberly Court following a recommendation from a colleague whose Nan had been very happy there. My work used to involve visits to care homes so I had a fair idea of what good should look like. My dad was initially a bit reticent about going into a home but two months down the line he is a different
man. He is smiling again and is very happy there. The staff are fabulous and all of my dad's need are met. He has mild dementia, Alzheimer's disease and is in a wheelchair. We get regular updates from the home and they publish pictures of some of their fun activities on their Facebook page. I have had stress completely taken away now I know my dad is properly looked after and happy. He was living alone in a retirement flat before and whilst we tried engaging a series of visiting carers through the day, it was not enough. I would not hesitate to recommend Kimberly Court. To me, it is absolutely gold standard.

I cannot recommend Kimberley Court highly enough. The staff are simply amazing; they cannot do enough for Mum, and the care is second to none. Because of current restrictions due to Covid 19, I have not been inside the home to see Mum's room, but I have been able to see it on the Tour and via Whatsapp,
and it looks great. Mum seems very settled there, and that is a great comfort to our family.
Thank you so much to all the staff for everything that you do.

I spent a lot of time checking care homes in Cornwall to suit my mum's needs, I managed to get a tour round in person before Covid, and I knew straight away it was the one I wanted for her, the attention to detail in all areas is outstanding.
Their philosophy is to make service users feel they have
their own small ‘flat’ within the complex with its own door and even a post box, there is a small hairdressing salon, a shop and even a bar! (Although during lockdown these may have been unavailable )
This care home excels in dementia care (one of the requirements we needed) always offering plenty of activities, and all staff knowing the complex needs of somebody with dementia.


I really enjoy seeing photos posted of the activities and seeing the residents enjoying themselves


My mum has now been there for several months during the past year during the covid period, she has settled in well, and I have felt confident through this time for her safety and well-being.

Our mum was only a resident at Kimberley Court for 6 months but during that time she was extremely well cared for. Nothing was too much trouble and whenever we phoned to speak to her we were always put through. This was through the Covid restrictions too but we were always kept up to date with mum's
care. Unfortunately, mums health deteriorated due to her dementia and the staff were so helpful and considerate, even letting us be with her in her last days (full precautions were taken when entering and leaving). We have no hesitation in recommending Kimberley Court to anyone considering a care home for a family member and are so grateful to the dedicated and wonderful staff who made mum's last few months comfortable and safe.

I have always found that all the staff in all departments are kind, friendly, caring and patient. At Kimberley Court, everyone does their utmost in caring for their residents. They chat and listen, and encourage everyone to participate in whatever activity is going on without being too pushy. We visitors
can join in too which creates an atmosphere of togetherness. The choice of menu is excellent, varied and well presented. The high level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the building. I know that my Mum is in safe hands and she is happy and content.

A happy, fun-filled caring home. Every effort is made to entertain, stimulate and integrate every resident.

The care and treatment my nan continues to receive at Kimberley Court is outstanding. She is always well dressed and smiling when we arrive to see her. The food is great and the family feel content knowing she is well looked after. She had a fall in February and the staff were caring, efficient and

My mother has only been in Kimberley Court for just over 2 months. However, I have no complaints what so ever with the care, the facilities or the home. My mother has settled in very easily and has found somewhere to see her day and hopefully year out. I have worked in many care homes throughout the
country and this is the best I've come across. Walking distance from my home. Finally, the staff are fantastic.

Kimberley Court care home is a bright and airy home. The atmosphere in there is of life not death like other care homes my father has been in. All, and I mean all, the staff are dedicated to their work and treat my father like one of their own family. Not only caring for him, but also aware and considerate
to the mental health/stresses and worries of myself, mother and brother. They have helped us so much during a very emotional time.
