St Petroc's House Care Home is a beautiful home in the historic town of Bodmin, providing the very highest standards of care to independent or fragile elderly men, women or couples, mobile or disabled, blind or partially sighted in order that they maintain a high quality of life in a cheerful, carefree atmosphere.

St Petroc's is an attractive house set in its own beautiful and extensive grounds whilst being close to local amenities.

Carers are delighted to offer Day Care & Respite Care facilities in St.Petroc's as well as standard facilities for permanent Residents.

If you or a family member or friend are looking to, 'lighten the load' to take life a bit easier and to enjoy the companionship that can be found in St Petroc's House please do come and visit.

Very pleased with the standard of care. I feel Mum is being well looked after. Her room is large, and she has all the things she needs. There have been a few mix-ups with clothing, but the only real issue, teeth were lost as well.

My aunt moved into St Petroc's in January. I was very apprehensive, but the team at St Petroc's were warm and welcoming and helped make this transition as painless as possible.
It is very much a homely environment, always spotlessly clean, and all the team goes the extra mile to accommodate the needs
of my aunt and keep me informed of any concerns. I always feel welcomed when visiting. There are many activities on offer and I receive a monthly newsletter, I find this very reassuring.
I was very hesitant to make this move but cannot recommend St Petroc's highly enough.

It was the best thing I ever did with the help from social services to get my mum safely into St Petroc's from a council flat where she was so lonely. What a difference this has made to her in the six months she has been there. I phone her twice a day as I live in North Wales. The staff are amazing
and keep me informed of any issues my mum has. I look forward to the times I go down and visit her.

We see situations such as yours regularly in our care homes, I often speak to residents who say 'I wished I'd moved in years ago, but I was worried I was giving up my independence' etc. It's hard for us, as an industry, to convince people (and their families) that a move to a care home can so often be a life-enhancing experience with a network of new friends, confidence that there is always somebody on hand to help out if needed (plus all of the cooking, laundry etc done for you. Thank you for acknowledging our 'amazing' care team members - it's all down to them really! And yes, we all hope that we will soon see regular family visits for all!

Since my husband has been a resident here, I have found St Petroc's a lovely place, and the staff very welcoming and super-efficient. I don't think he could be in a better place. He looks well, and I believe the food is very good and lots of it. I would definitely recommend it.

Staff are lovely and work very hard in trying times. We feel that communication could be better as we've not always been told if Dad is not well. I always feel welcome on visits and nothing seems to be too much trouble.

The staff and management are very good with my mother, who has dementia and can be very demanding at times, but they deal with her very well.

Mum was in a "bad way" at her previous home, following 18-months in lockdown and being unable to see her family. The overall experience of making the move to St Petroc's, from initial viewing to now (only six weeks), has proven far easier than we could have hoped! Mum is now cheerfully and full of life
again!

St Petroc's staff have always gone the extra mile to help my mother meet with her family by Skype, through the window and sitting outside. My mother is delighted to be at St Petroc's now she has settled in and got to know everybody. Thank you very much.

I've always been appreciative of the genuine sense of kindness shown by the care staff at St Petroc's towards Gran over the years. During the lockdown, this has become even more apparent, especially in light of all the hard work that's been done to successfully keep residents safe. The introduction
of regular Skype calls has made an enormous difference, greatly adding to Gran's quality of life. She's been gently introduced to this new way of communicating by staff members who demonstrate sincere patience. It's always a pleasure seeing her looking well and clearly well taken care of. Without fail, she speaks highly of the carers at St Petroc's every time we talk.

My father became a resident in January. He loves the care and attention from the staff as he had become lonely living on his own since his wife passed away. His room is homely and spacious and he really likes the home-cooked food. It is such a relief for the family to know he is safe and so well cared

This a lovely care home that welcomed my father three months ago and deal efficiently with his care needs. He is very happy with the care staff, the food, his bedroom, and the shared areas. The staff are very caring and efficient and I feel he is looked after very well.

My dad has been in St Petroc's since January. Due to the care he has received, he is noticeably so much better health-wise and mentally. He loves the entertainment and looks forward to joining in. He has always had a good appetite and thoroughly enjoys the lovely meals.
