St Petroc's is an attractive house set in its own beautiful and extensive grounds whilst being close to local amenities.

Carers are delighted to offer Day Care & Respite Care facilities in St.Petroc's as well as standard facilities for permanent Residents.

I visited my 98-year-old uncle whilst I was on holiday in Cornwall. I was very impressed with the home. The place was clean, smelt nice and the staff were friendly and efficient. They seemed to cater for my uncle's total needs, nothing was too much trouble. I was impressed, especially as I managed a
51 bedded nursing home myself until I retired.

I feel very lucky to have found such a caring nursing home. I was encouraged to make my room into a home from home, with some of my own belongings and furniture which made it so easy to settle in. All staff from managers to all care staff, down to kitchen staff, can't do enough for you.
The atmosphere
here is wonderful, everyone is very caring, nothing is too much trouble for them. Whatever your needs, they help us to do arts and crafts, we are also helped to pot plants for those of us how miss our gardens. They are 100% behind you all the way.
My family know I am secure and happy. I bless the day I found such lovely new friends and carers. We have a weekly hairdresser and monthly chiropodist, which is a great help.

Mum came to St Petrocs House Care Home for 2 weeks respite which turned into 6 weeks! She was well cared for, all the staff were very kind and friendly and meals were excellent. Sometimes she would have liked a few more activities but she was happy to join in with most of the activities provided.
There
was a trip to the coast on a mini bus which she particularly enjoyed. There are regular visits by a hairdresser and chiropodist.

I have found St Petroc's House Care Home a very happy go lucky environment. Everywhere is clean and tidy. The food is of a reasonable standard. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I have enjoyed the beautiful garden and the freedom of movement I am allowed around this large property. I love my room
which is very light and airy.

My father, who is a centenarian, had stayed at St Petroc's several times in the past three months. He has been made very welcome and very comfortable. I have been made very welcome and very comfortable. I have been impressed by the efficiency and empathy of the staff, and by the range of services and
activities available. I am very grateful to St Petroc's for the care he has been shown and would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

When entering St Petroc's House Care Home you feel automatically like you are home. It is such a clean and relaxing environment to be in. I know that my mum is very happy and the staff are so professional and helpful whenever you see them.
Watching the staff with other clients/residents they are treated
with respect and the staff empathise with each individual person.

Your staff are caring both to residents and visitors. The recent refurbishment has been beneficial. (I'm amazed how the decorators worked without inconvenience to the residents).
When visiting my very elderly (102) dad, who is blind, deaf and frail, it can be difficult to sit near enough in the lounge
to be able to communicate with him. The option is taking him to his room can cause him distress as he is immobile.

My mother was a resident of St Petroc's twice as a temporary resident (respite) before becoming permanent in March due to deteriorating mobility and dementia. She was made very welcome and quickly settled in despite some apprehension. She was very happy with the staff and food at all times and had a
very pleasant, bright room. On the occasion that she needed a GP, the home was very prompt in arranging it and became experts at spotting problems early. As she deteriorated and became bed bound, she was kept very clean with no pressure sore issues due to good care. I unhesitatingly recommend St Petroc's and it's staff.

My mum moved into permanent care in March 2016. In her last month, she was really poorly. The carers made her life as comfortable as possible. They fed her at meal times, turned her to prevent any sores and went above and beyond the normal care to help her.

The home has improved since the last survey. There is more staff here at all times and they now have a very good activities session in the afternoons. All the carers are very kind and pleasant.

This is my first experience of a care home. I am full of praise for the way I have been looked after since I came here about ten days ago. My private room is very comfortable, the food is good and the staff are so helpful. Nothing is any trouble to them. I am here for a short stay and I will be sorry
to leave.
