Located in Falmouth, next to the beautiful Fox Rosehill Gardens, Trevern is within walking distance of the harbour and town centre.

Part of the home is an attractive manor house, which has a central lounge area where residents enjoy so many activities, from live musical entertainment and intergenerational activities with local school and nursery children, to animal therapy visits, with everything from well-behaved dogs to snakes!

The home also has smaller lounges, where residents can relax with loved ones, who are welcome at any time. And in the dining rooms, they enjoy delicious, home cooked meals, including roast dinners with all the trimmings and freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea.

The team is passionate about enriching the lives of their residents with activities and experiences which bring them joy. A big part of this is keeping those vital community connections alive. The local community is embraced into life in the home, including the local church who run regular services at Trevern. There are also weekly visits from a local hairdresser.

The team also devotes so much time to taking the residents out and about. From enjoying fish and chips and ice creams on the beach, spending time in the shops and cafés, to watching live bands and shows at the Pavilion Park, there is so much to enjoy.

In the gardens the residents and team enjoy growing their own produce, harvesting it for the chef to use in the kitchen.

Providing residential, dementia and nursing care, the team also offers pre-bookable respite care breaks, which are ideal for family carers who would like to plan a short break of their own, with the peace of mind of knowing their loved one is in safe hands.

  • Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1557 and for nursing care £1793, but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.

My husband was in Trevern for 14-months with complex needs after a series of strokes and a bleed on the brain. He was left prone to difficult and challenging behaviour, but the staff at Trevern were unfailingly patient and caring. His dignity was respected at all times, and I know in his better moments,
he appreciated that. The staff got to know him and would work around his fluctuating moods to ensure he received the personal care and nourishment he required, and no doubt, some disruption to their own schedules. I was reassured to find there was a nurse in attendance at all times and good liaison with local GP for his changing medical needs. The end of life care was compassionate, and I was relieved to witness how he was allowed to move peacefully towards his end. I also appreciated the emotional support I received.

My brother-in-law spent 5 weeks end of life care at Trevern in Falmouth at the start of COVID-19. The care he and our family received was exceptional, every single member of staff were wonderful, when he died they were so caring even down to putting a picture a child family member had drawn in his pocket,
even though we couldn't visit we know 100% he was being cared for with love.

When my mother first arrived at Treverne, she was suffering from extreme anxiety due to her condition (COPD). The staff at Treverne have been caring, considerate and efficient since her arrival in February, which has resulted in my mother becoming calmer and happier in her environment. I cannot praise
the team enough for how they have improved the quality of my mothers' life. Thank you!

The staff and management of Treverne really understand the true meaning of care. Trevern has of late been under the guidance of a new manager and has improved in leaps and bounds since her arrival. Agency staff (who do not always know the resident they are caring for) are becoming less in number which means that more Cornwall Care staff are in place and get to know their residents
better. The staff are very caring and have a genuine affection for all the residents. Activities have improved in number and variety and seem to "hit the spot".
Rooms and communal areas are clean and bright and airy and the gardens are much improved too - both in cleanliness and appearance.
Communication with relatives is mainly good though there is room for improvement in communication between shifts/nurses/ etc.
There is always a friendly greeting on arrival and the improvement in atmosphere of late is very noticeable.

My experience of Trevern is that the staff are generally friendly, empathetic and hardworking, meeting residents needs. The home has appropriate safety measures such as coded sections. All staff love each other and residents equally and are non-discriminatory. The home is kept clean. Main areas, easy
access in reception. Residents are given adequate dietary requirements. However, organisation and management is not always good enough. Some residents require more one to one opportunities. Communication should be improved slightly.

Last year my sister and I spent an anxious time looking for a nursing home for our mother, feeling unhappy at what we had seen until our last viewing at Trevern and we knew it was home. We felt so relieved, everyone was so helpful and friendly, we instantly knew it was right, and so far I cannot fault
the care, the staff are all excellent. I give them ten out of ten.

I have worked Trevern for 14 years. I started in February 2007 and have worked in various roles. I have progressed and gained qualifications which has led me to become the Registered Manager of the service in February 2021. It has been a real privilege to have cared for and worked with so many wonderful people. The nursing, care team and I take a real pride in ensuring we deliver the highest standard of care to those who live with us. Ensuring we deliver a person centred approach to meeting their needs. I value every member of my team and embrace the diverse skill mix they have to offer our clients and our home.
