Brandon house is a delightful property, which has been thoughtfully modernised and extended to provide comfortable, charming accommodation for its elderly residents.

The property is a large detached house set within an acre of gardens. The accommodation is split over two floors with lifts providing easy access to all areas of the building. As part of the extensive modernisation programme the property has received two extensions to the original building. Both extensions are two stories and have been thoughtfully designed both inside and out to maintain the aesthetics and character of the original building.

All bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard, have en-suite facilities including wash hand basins, WC and showers, television and telephone, a nurse call system, and all rooms enjoy a pleasant view across the award winning gardens. The home also has three communal lounges and a large dining room where the chef serves home cooked meals using the finest local produce.

My mother has been in Brandon House for nearly ten years and she has been extremely happy. The home is well run and the care, kindness and respect given to her by all the staff has been excellent. Brandon House has a very homely atmosphere and the residents are encouraged to join in activities, but
only if they wish.

All the staff at Brandon House, who are looking after my 95yr old mother with dementia are really caring people who go out of their way to make sure she is happy and secure. Outings are organised and ‘in home’ activities. Meals are good and varied. During visits, I am always made to feel welcome.

My Aunt entered Brandon House in July 2016 and remains a full-time resident, now aged 96. I have visited every 2-3 weeks since and been included in Christmas and garden party invitations. Resident's birthdays are celebrated with cake, candles and cards, with members of staff. Various activities take
place most afternoons. I am always kept informed of any issues and find all the staff very attentive and supportive. I have peace of mind!

Very kind, caring staff. Mum has been at Brandon house for 6 years. She used to enjoy the poetry group but after a bad fall, she is now confused and frail. Despite her deterioration, the staff are still very attentive and try to engage her. She has always been content and happy here. This eases the
worry for my sister and I as we both live 3 hours journey away.

Everyone at Brandon is kind and friendly and they provide a caring home for my elderly mother. The bedrooms and lounges are always attractively decorated and reflect the seasons and time of year e.g. Christmas, Easter etc. The garden and terraces are beautifully maintained. Thank you for it all.

My Mother was VERY reluctant to move into a home but the staff at Brandon House have been exemplary in making her transition, from that reluctance to a happier and more secure and settled person. She has recovered her sense of humour and whilst it is still not plain sailing, she is now very content
in Brandon House and no longer asks when she is leaving.


She has made friends and is now enjoying a new lease of life at the age of 93!

My mother has had excellent care since she moved into Brandon House. We could not wish for better carers who are friendly, helpful and treat the residents with dignity. There is a good range of activities which are both physically and mentally stimulating. The private rooms and communal areas are always
clean and fresh with no offensive odours and general maintenance is good, although there is a problem with one lift that breaks down frequently.
I could not have chosen a better home for my mother who is very happy with her care and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone else.

From my first contact with Brandon House, I have been impressed with the understanding expressed when making the difficult decision to have Mum cared for. She came directly from hospital, the manager liaised with the hospital for her arrival home. The staff are genuinely kind and caring both to Mum
and myself.
The food is good - the residents have lots of activities.
I cannot recommend them more highly.
