My father spent five months here suffering from debilitating dementia. He was extremely well cared for by dedicated very hard-working staff. My father's illness made him physically immobile and sometimes difficult, but the care given was always patient, attentive and personable. The accommodation was
clean, well looked after and easily accessible. I am told the food provided was tasty, nutritious and freshly cooked. If on occasion it was not always easy to get hold of someone when visiting, that was only due to the staff being fully occupied. But that is an issue we have in society in general (not enough people able/willing to work for the remuneration we provide) and should in no way reflect negatively on Hyne House. Based on my and the rest of my family's experience, I can only say that I fully recommend Hyne House as somewhere to provide professional care.

My mother has the best care possible at Hyne House. The staff are more like family than carers.
She's provided with excellent personal care and is kept very clean and tidy. The food is nourishing and very tasty.
We visit twice a week and are always offered tea, coffee and biscuits and sometimes cake.
We
could never have wished for a better home and care.

The home is generally very satisfactory. The staff are friendly. Varied activities are arranged, including the provision of a mini-bus for trips out. My room is cosy and comfortable. It is cleaned daily and even the windows and curtains are cleaned. Older furniture is routinely replaced. Services like
hairdressing and chiropody are provided in-house, and there are regular doctor visits. Laundry is processed quickly and I feel safe in the care of the staff.

What a wonderful place this is. It is so hard to make the decision to put a relative in a care home but we haven't regretted this decision for a second of the last 8 months dad has been there. From the day we visited and saw the curtains- which mum could have chosen herself, we loved it. I live 5000
miles away and don't get to visit often but when I do the staff are wonderful... on arrival they break out the best china and served tea or coffee... just how mum would have done again. My dad is so happy here, he feels safe and cared for and he's anxious to get back "home" after a trip out. Nothing is too much trouble, requests are quickly met. The staff are kind and warm and patient. The manager is efficient and responsive. Not to mention how downright beautiful it all is... I honestly can't think of a better place he could be.
