Overall Experience

Only a brief visit but first impressions were good. A member of staff opening the door to me was welcoming and polite. I was shown to my friend's room by another member of staff who was also very pleasant. Residents watching TV all seemed settled. The surroundings are all clean and tidy.

Overall Experience

Whenever I visit my friend I am struck by the friendly welcome from the staff. My friend is very contented here (albeit she has dementia). She is very well looked after. Spotless room and very clean.

Overall Experience

Very friendly staff. Always a good greeting on arrival. The staff always have a smile and nothing too much trouble. My friend is always clean and tidy she is obviously very happy here. The rooms are clean and tidy too. Other residents always seem content, relaxed and chatty. The food always smells delicious

when it cooking.

Overall Experience

This is a really good home-from-home care home. I am so relieved that we were able to find my mother a place here. The staff are so kind, caring and professional - they are constantly thinking about what more they can do for the residents, and they are meticulous about adhering to care plans, and so

good in their communications. When mum first arrived she was fearful and in considerable discomfort. The carers all paid close attention and got to know her well, within that first week - and she is doing so much better as a result and feels really safe, cared for and valued. To the management and the team - thank you so much for the careful and personalised service you offer, you really go the extra mile and my mother and I appreciate it so much!

Overall Experience

I have been asked to write a review of my experiences of visiting a friend in The Manor and can only say that, although I am only allowed to visit once per week, I can see that the residents are very well cared for as has been the case for years. I believe the residents are entertained each afternoon

as they should be and, from appearances, all residents appear well dressed and well groomed. The friend I visit, mainly because of mobility problems, prefers to stay in her room on the first floor rather than go downstairs and mingle with others. However, no matter how much staff members may try, she won't be moved! Probably a fear of moving via a wheelchair to the stairlift and back onto a wheelchair again! However, when I visit, my friend is usually in a good mood and although quite a quiet person, I get her to chat a little about things going on in the house so I am informed of any ''goss'' going the rounds!

I note the comment ref 'only allowed to visit once per week' - that is likely a Covid 19 precaution. All of our residents at The Manor will be offered their Spring Covid 19 booster next week. Three weeks after that, in order for the vaccine to take full effect, we will be greatly relaxing visiting restrictions - as well as removing the need to wear face masks in the home. Overall Experience

Dad has been moved to downstairs, to make getting about easier. The staff have been excellent in making this as smooth and painless as possible for him. All the staff make Dad feel safe, secure and comfortable. They are a credit to The Manor.

Overall Experience

My grandmother has been a resident of The Manor for a number of years. During that time she has sadly deteriorated due to her condition, but the level of care she has received during her decline has been incredible. The staff in all areas care so much for her, both physically and emotionally. I truly

Overall Experience

My mum has been a resident at The Manor since November 2021. From our first visit to view the home, my husband and myself came away and knew that this would be the ideal place for her. She has settled in well and is cared for by a lovely team of staff. Through their care, she now looks like my mum again.

Overall Experience

The residents always seem to be happy and well cared for by the staff. It has been made easy to come and visit and we are well looked after, when visiting. My grandmother likes her room and seems to have settled in and adjusted to living at The Manor well. Thank you for your care.

We were recommended to The Manor, for Mum's care, by a friend and it is the best thing we could have done. Mum has dementia and stayed at The Manor for two years. During that time, she was very well cared for. All the staff, without exception, were extremely cheerful, kind and very caring. It was particularly

difficult for everyone during the lockdown periods and we felt the home did everything they could to keep the residents well, safe and entertained. Mum's stage of dementia was very challenging and we felt the staff handled it very well and professionally. We would like to thank all the staff for helping and caring for Mum during this period.

Overall Experience

Through the difficult time of lockdown and no visits, the communication from the home has been excellent via email, phone calls and a monthly magazine full of pictures and news of the resident participating in the activities. All very reassuring of the welfare and being of our loved ones. When phoning

to speak to my father, it's never a problem for any member of staff to take the phone to him, no matter what time of day, and they always give me an update on his health etc. All very reassuring to the family that he's in the right place. Many thanks to all at The Manor Exminster.

Overall Experience

The Manor is an excellent care home and every care and attention is given to the residents, giving them a happy and loving environment. I am especially impressed by the way the staff have kept all the residents safe, during this Coronavirus pandemic. The manager and deputy manager are both outstanding,

resulting in a lovely, extremely well run family home and I thank them and all the dedicated staff for their hard work.

Overall Experience

Mum has always told the family that she is so happy living at The Manor, from the very first few weeks that she moved in, and this has continued to be the case over the 18 months she has been a resident. The atmosphere is always welcoming and homely, with plenty of staff who are always attentive and

caring to both residents and visitors alike. I have always found the local management to be competent and fully aware of the current health and well being of every resident. I could not have hoped for a better care home, which I know is the view of the whole family, who are all regular visitors.
