My mother was fortunate to access a respite placement at Thornbury Villa during the summer 2019. Thornbury Villa is a wonderful example of how to provide a home from home environment for people in their advancing years. Without exception, the team were welcoming, relaxed yet professional. I am so pleased
to have found this gem and would not hesitate in asking if mum could come to stay again. Thank you to the manager, supervisor and your team.

My grandmother has received a high standard of care during her stay at Thornbury Villa. The staff ensure she is treated with dignity and compassion, placing her personal preferences at the centre of her care package. Her care plan has been adjusted according to her ongoing needs, with ongoing reviews.
Management lead a team of highly skilled individuals, who have created a warm and safe environment that feels like "home to home" .
I have been particularly impressed with the comfort and support my family have been given during "end of life". Staff have provided practical and emotional support during this time period. My grandmother has received one to one support during each day and each night. At each stage staff have managed my grandmother's pain to ensure she is comfortable and at ease.
This home provides outstanding care and I recommend it to those looking for a placement for a loved one.

What is the winning hallmark of Thornbury is the loving homely atmosphere. The staff excelled all my expectations and treat my Grandma with the care and compassion that you would expect from family, and because it's not a huge home they are able to provide a level of care that is individual, leaving
the family members of residents at peace knowing how well cared for their loved ones are.
This home, especially the management, go beyond filling their job description, genuine care and empathy take over, along with a great sense of humour that lightens the difficult times. I will always be thankful to them all for giving our family the peace of mind of my Grandma being so well looked after.

It's lovely that we are praised for the care we give but this would not be possible without a dedicated staff team, I'm so fortunate enough to manage.
