I thought the amount of kindness and care shown to my mother and family from all levels of staff was 5-star. Even when the staff was busy, they always make time to speak and make a hot drink - served with biscuits or cake.

Security very good. Staff are friendly, helpful and informative. They are very good with Mum with her physio as recommended by Torbay Hospital (NHS) and all her personal needs.

My wife was in care and was looked after by the staff she couldn't have asked for anything more, morning and night it was like being in a hotel. They were excellent could not have asked for more, anything she wanted they did it for her. I will recommend Kingsmount Residential Home to anyone they can
not go wrong it is the best one.

Very impressed with the attention of the staff and always seems to be someone close by.
Clean,warm and cosy surroundings but with a discreet attention to security. Very re-assured that my mother is being well looked after.

When I visit my father the staff are cheerful and welcoming and give me information re his condition and well-being. The food he is offered is appropriate (soft diet) Drinks plentiful. He is clean and comfortable. He does not always cooperate with showering, dressing and going into the lounge but the
staff try to encourage him. He has Alzheimer's and can be awkward and abusive at times. The staff remain cheerful. When he is cooperative he is funny and cheerful and the staff joke with him. In their brochure the home advertises "days out" but this hasn't happened in 18 months. I have taken him out when possible.

My cousin has been in this care home for two years. I have made several visits and always have received a warm welcome. I regularly have updates from the staff as to my cousin's well-being. She is well cared for in very pleasant surroundings.

Kingsmount from the very beginning were very caring they did a personal care plan. They are very attentive. They listen to anything and everything however small and if need be act on it.
I have no complaints at all in my husbands care. He has settled in and is relaxed and calm and I can't speak highly
enough of the management and staff. To my mind Kingsmount is a really caring home.

Kingsmount is a special place. It always seems to be a calm and relaxed atmosphere, despite the challenge which the care team encounter my mum is looked after very well, by kind and supportive carers. Everyone is treated as an individual and given a lot of time and attention. All in all this is a great

Brennan

Brennan Wilson

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2003

Brennan joined GrayAreas Ltd just after the Grays bought their first home back in 2002. He worked his way up through the ranks starting at Mount Olivet and then moving to Kingsmount where he was quickly promoted to Senior Carer. In June 2015, Brennan accepted the post of Deputy Manager and then became the Registered Manager in June 2019.


His dedication, commitment and leadership have seen the home maintain the CQC Good rating and his compassion and warmth shown to residents, relatives and staff alike are a further testament to the quality of care he encourages from all his staff.


Brennan has a level 5 NVQ qualification and maintains an ongoing training schedule in order to keep up to date on various health and care issues.


He is an asset to our team and is available to chat with on our landline number.


Diane

Diane Prosser

Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Joined: 2016

Having worked in care since being a teenager, Diane joined Kingsmount as a senior care assistant in 2016. After a few years at Kingsmount, she moved to our sister home, Mount Olivet Nursing Home, continuing in her care assistant role.


Wanting a change from care work but keen to stay in the caring profession, Diane was offered the opportunity to take on the role of activities coordinator at Kingsmount. And she jumped at the chance!


Diane's role is to create and organise various activities to stimulate the residents' physical, mental and emotional well-being at Kingmount. Her work covers a broad remit from coordinating family visits to organising craft activities and spending one-to-one time with the residents.


Originally from Brixham, Diane lives in Paignton, just a short walk from Kingsmount. Outside of work, she is a regular volunteer with St. Johns Ambulance.
