Fairfield House is situated on a hillside overlooking Lyme Bay and Lyme Regis. The home is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout and offers several lounges, dining areas and conservatories to socialise or relax in. The home has its own fully equipped hairdressing salon, and a selection of specialist bathrooms including a hydrotherapy bath.

Fairfield House provides mild dementia care as well as residential care. The home also offers respite stays and day care packages in a comfortable, caring, relaxed environment. Staff like all their residents to feel at home, to be as independent as possible and supported to make their own choices. Person-centred care is based on each person's specific needs.

Care workers put residents at the heart of everything they do. Residents can take part in a wide range of activities, sit back and enjoy the entertainment programme or just relax in beautiful gardens taking in the sea air. Been made to feel welcome right from the time we looked at the home to see if it was right for my brother. We have had lunch with him a few times now, which is very good and the staff are very good. I know my brother is looked after well and is safe.

My mum moved to Fairfield House in October 2022. Her room was fresh and newly decorated, also airy and bright with a beautiful view. She was treated like a family member and well-loved by the staff. I was also made to feel welcome on visits. Mum always looked well turned out, with regular appointments
at the on-site hairdresser, and attention to detail with her choice of clothes. There was always good communication with the management at Fairfield. Mum had the opportunity to join in a varied timetable of activities during the week if she wished. I always had peace of mind that Mum was being well looked after, and am confident to recommend Fairfield House to others.

From the moment I walked into Fairfield House all the staff knew my first name which I found very welcoming and appreciated. The chef had been made aware of my dietary needs and would chat with me if they were in doubt about anything. I was very comfortable in my room which had a beautiful view.

I have power of attorney for a long term resident who was a neighbour. I don't visit frequently, but when I do, I always get a warm welcome. The staff are always focused on my resident friend's welfare and check she is ready to see me, offering us tea, even at busy times. Her room is always neat and
clean and there is often an activity going on when I pop in. They are very good at informing me if my friend has any health or welfare issues.

Overall I have found the staff in the care home to be kind and courteous to my mum, who has been a resident here for nearly two years. Due to her disabilities she needs things done in certain ways to help her, which everyone has managed to accommodate. Unfortunately the outside of the property appears
a bit shabby which really doesn't do the care provided within the home justice.

Over the past few months the quality of meals has improved. Care staff are always prompt in answering bells and attentive. Management have been most helpful in organising transportation for my mother to attend dentist appointments.

The family have absolute confidence in the care that Mum receives on a daily basis. Mum enjoys all aspects of the activities and the detail the staff take to ensure that body and mind is kept active. From art classes, crafting, word/number games Mum finds both fun to do and entertaining and provides
conversations with other residents over the endless daily themes which overlap into the catering which too provides interesting mealtimes. There isn’t a day that goes by without treats, fun and laughter. Mum also enjoys the outings to surrounding beauty spots in the area. The family are so very happy with Fairfield House and enjoy the social media page too, we are grateful for the attention to detail with regard to the important never ending tablet runs and attention to Mum's health and well-being. The management are visible, approachable and catering, maintenance and care staff are kind with the friendly cup of tea!

Mum has been a resident at Fairfield House for 4 years and as she ages she’s become increasingly frail and her dementia has progressed. I have never doubted that she is well looked after and that everyone, in their different roles, is more than capable, and willing to meet her changing needs and personal
preferences. It does feel that all the people who work there are doing it out of a real and genuine care for the wellbeing of the residents.
The home is clean, the team is welcoming, and Mum is having a great time joining in all the activities as best she can. Mum is still more than capable of letting us know if she feels something is wrong so we’re confident that she is settled and happy.

The staff have been excellent and have provided wonderful care for my mother, especially as dementia decreases her mobility and awareness. They seem to treat all residents with respect and dignity. They are communicative with the family and I am always made to feel welcome whenever I visit. I would

My Dad was a resident of Fairfield House for the last 4 years of his life. It's hard to put into a limited number of words how much they cared for him. The staff at the house are wonderful and went beyond for him many many times over. In all the time he lived there we had no reason to find fault with
any aspect of his care from the food and the cleanliness to their quick responses to his needs. In lockdown, many of the staff did not see their own families and not once did anyone complain. Sadly Dad did not recognise any of his family towards the end of his life but his carers still managed to find glimpses of the man he was and always responded to him with warmth and love. I cannot recommend Fairfield House enough. If you are thinking of placing your loved one in their care - I can assure you they will be in safe warm hands.

I would highly recommend Fairfield House to anyone requiring care or respite for a relative or loved one. My mum loves joining in the activities they provide and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff. Sometimes Mum likes to sit in her lovely clean room listing to music and looking out to sea,
the home is set in such a perfect location with stunning views across the bay. The staff are so accommodating especially when a family member has traveled a long way to visit their loved one, whilst always sticking to current guidelines.
I used to work in the care sector and I spent quite a while researching care homes in this area for my mum and I now know for sure that we made the right decision.
Thank you to everyone at Fairfield for giving my family the reassurance that on a daily basis Mum is being kept safe and well looked after in a beautiful environment.

My sister has been living at Fairfield House since 2018. She was understandably reticent about moving away from her home in Coventry but very quickly settled in, which is a result of the friendly and encouraging attitude of the staff. She is content, living the best life possible for her and whenever
I visit her she tells me how happy she is and how she intends to live for a long time since life is good.
She likes the food (when she arrived she was very thin, she is now a normal weight). She also enjoys the activities arranged for her.
Personally, I have found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend Fairfield House to others looking for a safe home for a relative.

I would like to say how pleased I am with the care and attention my mother receives at Fairfield House. It has been a difficult 6 months for me due to my mother needing to go into a care home and with the coronavirus also adding to the worry. Her needs are increasing all the time and her dementia and
anxiety adds to her frailty.
However, when I visited her recently she seemed very settled and happier than I have seen her for quite a while. In my opinion, the staff do an outstanding job with the residents, giving person-centered care to a high standard and engaging with them in activities. They have adhered to all the covid regulations whilst allowing and encouraging family visits in a designated area, with use of PPE and limiting numbers of visitors at any one time. It has always felt very safe when I have visited. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful.

As a family we can only rate Fairfield House as 5*. Mother-in-law became a resident leaving her home of 53 years and 5 weeks later we went into lockdown as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. We were unable to visit for some time but knowing the staff were providing a safe homely environment gave us
as a family peace of mind.
I would not hesitate to recommend Fairfield House should you be looking for somewhere for yourself or a relative in need of care.
The staff have done an excellent job at keeping Covid 19 out with no cases to date,
They initiated a "Tea on the Terrace" facility as soon as guidelines allowed for visiting and provide a Skype facility to enable us to communicate with mother-in-law as we live a considerable distance away.
Thank you to all the staff who work there from the bottom to the very top.
