The Malthouse is a lovely family-orientated care home. The staff are always so friendly and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and they always seem so happy as a team. I have been treated with love and respect and am so grateful and thankful for the care I have received.

My husband and I found The Malthouse extremely helpful when we had to find a care home facility quickly when my mother-in-law was discharged from hospital after Christmas. All staff were very efficient and friendly and she settled in very quickly. They were also very understanding when she became poorly
again and needed medical attention. We felt she was in a very safe environment. Thank you for everything.

Lovely staff. Good levels of care and attention to my parents-in-law who are now permanent residents. I feel confident in their ability to handle any care emergencies. Rooms are clean, warm, and commodious. Everybody is kind and friendly.

Our dear friend has been at the The Malthouse Residential Home for just one week now. My wife and I have been extremely impressed with the care and attention shown to our dear 103 year old friend. All staff have shown a wonderful caring and compassionate care towards her and also to ourselves when visiting.

My mum has been a resident at The Malthouse for over three years and the care she has received has been excellent.
Any problems that have arisen have been dealt with promptly by the management staff and very kind to Mum and all her family. Mum enjoys the food which is excellent - I can vouch for the

My mother-in-law moved in here 2 1/2 years ago and it is certainly the best care home by far in Gillingham Dorset.
From the manager, chef, carers, cleaners and the hands-on manager, we are always acknowledged the moment we walk through the door.

My mum is a very private lady but she is always treated with 100% care day and night and nothing is ever too much trouble.
The staff here are just amazing and they all work in a great team.

We recently experienced excellent service from The Malthouse manager who dealt with a potentially upsetting issue where Mum was at a crossroads with her care and at risk of being moved into another care home. The Malthouse management were superb in negotiating with the head office and social services
to come to an agreement whereby Mum could remain at The Malthouse (her home) with a fully funded package from social services. Thank you so much.

Both my parents have been residents at The Malthouse since 2021. From the very start I, and my parents, have been happy with the genuine caring and homely atmosphere. This is fostered by the managers and delivered by all the carers, chefs and support staff (cleaners and entertainment). The end-of-life
care recently given to my father was gentle, thorough and supportive to his family. The staff have an excellent relationship with the GP surgery and always consult them when they have any concerns. In short, we have been, and continue to be, very lucky to have found The Malthouse.

I enjoyed a lovely garden party with my dear friends a couple of weeks ago. It was a wonderful afternoon with entertainment, delicious homemade cakes and Pimms. The staff team were so happy, helpful and welcoming, it was a very well managed event which was clearly enjoyed by all. Great to see the manager

My mother lives in one of the converted stables which provide independent living with the reassurance of having help from the home when needed. I have found all of the staff to be brilliant and caring in every way. We feel extremely lucky to have found this home. Nothing is too much trouble and you
