Located at the foot of Hambledon Hill in the heart of North Dorset, Millbrook House is an elegant, spacious Georgian residence set in two acres of beautiful gardens in the village of Child Okeford.

Millbrook House provides excellent care in a homely and loving atmosphere – a place that residents really can call “home”.

Registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the most recent inspection in June 2018 was rated 'Good'. They are also proud to have recently been awarded a ‘Commend’ by the Gold Standards Framework.

Millbrook House offers convalescent and holiday breaks, permanent residency and palliative care.

The mission at Millbrook House is to offer the same degree of care that a loving and caring relative, aided by health professionals, would provide. With that in mind, each Resident is treated with care, dignity and respect, with a particular focus on their individual needs.

An activities coordinator is responsible for arranging a monthly programme of events to keep residents entertained, active and stimulated.

Residents enjoy a varied and home cooked diet consisting of fresh seasonal produce, which where possible is homegrown in the vegetable garden. Recognising that food is one of life’s joys.

If you are seeking care for yourself or a relative a warm welcome awaits you at Millbrook House.

The staff are very friendly, the home is clean and tidy and very presentable. There is an activity programme for the residents and the staff are fully aware of the resident's needs.

Job Title: Registered Manager/Home Manager

I have been employed in the health care sector for over two decades, holding positions in leadership roles for the past 10 years.


I have a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, which I am very proud to of achieved.


I am thrilled to take on the role of Home Manager for Millbrook House with its charming ambiance, complimented by a wonderful team of staff that make the home such a warm and caring environment.


I am passionate about supporting individuals to live their best lives and consider it a privilege to help empower residents and their families to be able to do so.


Outside of work I am involved in conservation and have planted over 200 trees in Dorset. I am a huge animal lover and own a dog and a cat. I have also owned horses all my life, which I always say makes me very practical! I have travelled through France on the back of a motorbike and have competed in vintage sports car racing on various race circuits in the UK.


My favourite book: Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.


My favourite movie: Hot Millions with the late Maggie Smith and Peter Ustinov.
