Nazareth Lodge has been serving the local community for over 25 years.

Nazareth Lodge offers permanent residency, respite breaks and can also offer palliative care.

The team offers a happy, vibrant home with a thriving computer club, a la carte menus and a passion for gardening, growing most of their own vegetables and flowers for the home. Hens and dogs add to the relaxed, informal atmosphere.

The home benefits from an excellent relationship with the local GP practice and district nursing team.

In March 2018 Nazareth Lodge was rated 'Outstanding' by the CQC for the second time.

We have been extremely happy with the outstanding care mum and dad have received whilst at Nazareth Lodge. The home is welcoming and everyone is treated with respect. This has been a difficult year for families with restricted visiting and the staff have done everything they can to make the residents
be safe, healthy, happy and not isolated.

A friendly small home with good staffing levels and low staff turnover. The accommodation is pleasant and well maintained. The staff have been very helpful in managing my Mother’s increasing disabilities with tact and good humour. They have coped well with the restrictions due to COVID.

During what has been an extremely challenging time for everyone with Covid-19 the care shown by all the staff to the residents while we as relatives could not support them, has been amazing. They have treated everyone like their own parent or grandparent. No standards have dropped, in fact, the extra
measures put in place have been more rigorous and rightly so. The result is a clean bill of health for everyone and to now be able to visit, sit in the garden, hold hands and laugh together is testimony to the exceptional way Nazareth Lodge is run. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done to make life good for my mother.

Nazareth Lodge is run in a very efficient and secure manner. The staff seem to have endless patience. I have marked down the facilities section because there was no lift available.

Fabulous management fabulous team of carers.

My mum went into Nazareth Lodge initially for respite last September and is now a permanent resident. I knew the moment I walked in that I had found the perfect place for her as all the staff were so welcoming. I cannot fault the care my mum has had since moving in and I know she now sees it as her

My mother is extremely happy here, she has been resident for 9 months. She has very mild dementia and receives excellent care. The food is first class and she enjoys whatever activity is provided. The staff are always inclusive and welcoming at any time of day.

Prior to my uncle's eventual arrival 10 weeks ago, the management of the home were superb in their support for us during a difficult time and arranging the transport from a hospital a few counties away. Nazareth Lodge is a truly excellent care home. Unfortunately, my wife's condition of dementia is deteriorating and when she is away from her home surrounding and from my fulltime care, she displays signs of unhappiness.
I know that everything possible was done to make my wife's stay as comfortable
as it could be. I look forward to another visit to Nazareth Lodge in the future.

My parents were both in Nazareth Lodge; Mum for several respite stays and then permanently, Dad joined her for the last few months.
Sadly, they both died in September: Dad only 16 days after Mum.
The care they received was excellent and they were always treated with love and respect.
The palliative
care was superb, with staff often coming in to see them in their own time.
The best way I can describe it is that Nazareth Lodge is a home, not a hotel.

Our friend has been a resident at Nazareth Lodge for over 2 years. We visit her regularly. During that time, we have been totally satisfied with the level of care she has received. The staff are very attentive and the food is good. Her room is modern and cleaned regularly. She is very contented and

Dad was in Nazareth lodge for 12 years, he was very well cared for, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. He loved that the owner's dogs came and visited, as we had always had dogs at home and this made it " just like home". He enjoyed the freedom of going up into town on his buggy, which was
always brought round to the front door by the staff.
I would throughly recommend Nazareth lodge, they couldn't have been kinder and more thoughtful to my dear old sometimes grumpy dad, their patience was outstanding.

Natasha

Natasha Baker

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 2007

Natasha has worked at Nazareth Lodge for 12 years and has risen through the ranks from Care Assistant to Registered Manager. Natasha is committed to continue to provide excellent customer service within the home understanding the need to respond to any issues promptly. She makes sure she knows the residents and their families as well as she can and is always going the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy with the service we provide here. She is actively involved in ensuring the home retains its Outstanding CQC rating. Natasha has recently completed her Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Alison Rowland

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Ali has been at Nazareth Lodge for over 6 years and has worked her way up from a carer to our new Deputy Manager. Ali supports Natasha and runs the home in her absence of Natasha. Natasha and Ali work alongside each other daily and will continue to strive to make improvements to retain our outstanding rating. They also work the shifts to identify areas for improvement to ensure that the highest standard of care is provided. Ali also continues to work on the resident’s care plans and ensure that staff have the person-centred needs of each of our residents to allow them to provide the best possible service to our residents. Her professional attitude and friendly demeanour make her the perfect choice for Deputy Manager. Ali also has a good rapport with our families and healthcare professionals. She is currently studying for her Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

Job Title: Head Of Care

Joined: 2019

Justin is our Head of Care. He started at Nazareth Lodge in 2019 and he has proven himself to be a valuable member of the team, bringing with him a wealth of management skills and experience in care. His attention to detail and tidiness make sure that everyone is kept on the ball, and his charming smile and witty sense of humour make him a favourite with residents, families and staff alike. He has now taken on the responsibility of the medications in the home, including the ordering and auditing processes, Justin is a very conscientious and precise member of staff therefore this responsibility is very much suited to him.
