My husband was admitted here for respite and we were so impressed with the care and the staff, we decided this was the place for him to stay. The kindness shown to us and the care, nothing too much trouble. We are always made welcome.

I find the staff very friendly and welcoming. They look after my mother very well, even though they are so busy.
The staff maintain a caring and professional attitude to the residents at all times.
Food is excellent. Mum is always clean and well presented and happy as far as her dementia will allow.

My father has recently moved into Shire House. It was very difficult as he wouldn't except being there and became very aggressive and caused a lot of problems.
All the members of staff have been patient and gone out of their way to make sure he had the correct teams and Drs involved. My father has
now settled more but they are still being attentive.

From the beginning, the manager and her team were amazing, supportive, helpful and calming during what was a very difficult time for the family.
They treated mum with kindness and dignity and took away lots of stress and worry the family were going through. I was able to breathe a huge sigh of relief
knowing that mum was safe and being cared for in a "home from home" and local to her own home which allowed dad to visit her every day. Thank you.

My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the care that my mother received. She was treated with respect and dignity. Her end of life care was exceptional. All her needs were catered for in a very professional but also loving and caring environment. She was always clean and tidy, her hair brushed,
clothes and bedding fresh each day. We were kept informed of any changes in her health and found staff helpful and sympathetic. We were very grateful for all they did for my mother.

Shire House is an excellent home (with the emphasis on 'home'). Residents are all treated individually with the utmost care and respect. Shire House is homely and feels like a family home. The staff are all fabulous, kind and caring. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Shire House it's a special
place.
