We needed to find residential respite care for my mother on Good Friday, and this was the only company that was able to help. The fast response meant that my mother was able to stay from the Tuesday. Initial impressions of the home, staff and service were excellent. This has remained so, and my mother
has now taken up permanent residence. The response to telephone calls and assistance in all areas is the best that I have come across in this sector. The home is warm and friendly, and the staff are great.

This was our first experience of respite care - it went very well due to the patience and attendance of the staff. They supported her wish to continue with any routines she had at home and encouraged her to join in with group activities, eating in the dining room. At the end of her two-week stay, she
was much brighter and fitter than when she arrived.

I received a friendly welcome from the hospitality and training coach. I was very impressed with the spaciousness of the care home. Everyone seemed very happy. I could not believe the difference in my friend since becoming a resident. She is so content and enjoying life. She joins in all the activities.
The staff seem to go out of their way to assist where necessary. It was a wonderful experience overall.

I have had respite at Branksome Heights on a number of occasions for various reasons and I have enjoyed my stay each time.
It is designed to be a home from home. The staff are always ready to be helpful and supportive.
During my current respite, I unfortunately was dealing with some spam emails which
were very worrying and the staff immediately assisted me to contact my bank and the relevant company and established that indeed I was being 'scammed'. I was relieved for the help they gave me.
The food is carefully planned to ensure that it is nutritious and tasty, plenty of it with snacks and treats offered in between meals.
I enjoy the group activities. The location has the benefit of being close to the Bournemouth Upper Gardens and the home has its own grounds surrounded by trees.
I look forward to the next opportunity to stay at Branksome Heights again. If I ever need to have more support, I would unreservedly want to live at Branksome Heights.

This is a great place. Modern, clean, well decorated and cheerful. Dad is wonderfully looked after in tricky circumstances and Mum is treated fantastically as she spends most of every day there. I even get (posh) coffee and freshly-baked cake when I visit at lunchtimes. The home and its wonderful staff
are part of our lives now and we couldn't do this without them.

The staff at Branksome Heights have always taken the utmost care of my mum. Mum has been a resident for nearly two years and has received nothing but great kindness from the staff. The manager and all the staff have ensured that Mum is well looked after. As I live in Australia, it could have been difficult
to maintain contact with the staff but they have done all they can to ensure that I am included in all dealings with my mum and also informing me of her problems. I visited Branksome Heights in March 2023 and confirmed the opinion I already had - this is a great care home with brilliant staff who do all they can to ensure their residents are well-cared-for. Many thanks to everyone at Branksome Heights.

My mother entered the care home at the beginning of February. When we were looking for a care home to look after my mother, the management at Branksome Heights were the only ones to visit my mother before going into the home and took an interest in her personal situation, her family and her life history.
From
the time she first went into care, all of the staff have been very friendly and welcoming and made sure my mother settled into her new surroundings.
The daily activities are excellent, and the staff leading the activities are enthusiastic and encourage the residents to participate. My mother really enjoys joining in with other residents, and there is real social interaction between everyone.
The staff keep a detailed record of how my mother is doing and are always willing to discuss how she is settling in.
Nothing seems to be too much trouble to make sure my mother is happy there, and we would highly recommend the care home to look after someone you love.

My mum has been at Branksome Heights since March 2020. I cannot rate her care at this home highly enough. The manager leads a wonderful team and they all treat Mum with the utmost dignity and care. Up until recently, Mum would join in daily with most of the activities that are planned, from quizzes
to crafts, cookery, and painting...there is always something going on. The meals are lovely and the home is spotlessly clean. Mum is now on end of life but she gets an endless number of visits daily from the carers, cooks and staff...they each go in and have a little chat, hold her hand and help her with meals. Nothing is too much trouble and I am so thankful for the wonderful care she has received and is still receiving. Thank you so much all of you, from the bottom of my heart.

I can't recommend Branksome Heights highly enough. My mother resided there for 21 months and throughout that time she was very well cared for. The staff were friendly, attentive and compassionate and the home itself was always spotlessly clean. During my mother's last weeks, the staff showed her (and
us, her family) nothing but dignity and respect and did everything they could to make her as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble.

This is my first experience of a care home and I admit I was very nervous. It is nothing like what I had dreaded! It is spotlessly clean, very modern, beautifully maintained and does not smell like a hospital - or anything else for that matter. The staff are amazing, caring, helpful, lovely! Residents
are so well looked after and are cared for with dignity and love. The food - well, forget school-type dinners - it looks and tastes (apparently) amazing. There are a couple of options to choose from each day and lots and lots of variety. When I ring the home to talk to a member of staff they answer my questions like they've got all the time in the world, I'm sure they don't and yet they never make me feel like I'm being a nuisance or wasting time. I can't thank the staff enough. It is an immense relief to know that in the difficult decisions that I'm sure are coming, I have people who walk the path with me. Thank you, everyone, never underestimate the job you do or the difference you make.

Mum has been at Branksome for 3-4 months. Admittedly I think she had a dodgy start, due to moving from her flat with Dad, to a care home, but the dementia was such, so, there was no choice. The staff have all been lovely, smiling and welcoming, I can now recognise a few. I wish Mum would go down more
to join in the activities. When I visit, she is encouraged to come downstairs.

My father-in-law entered Branksome heights two years ago next March, he is extremely happy and content, gets on very well with all the staff, and although profoundly deaf, he enjoys being around all the other residents and staff. He thoroughly enjoys the food, and although he does not join in much
with the daily (and very varied) activities, he is always in the background as he just enjoys being around people. I cannot recommend this care home enough, and have mentioned it to numerous friends who are looking for somewhere for their loved ones.

I would change nothing. My nana that's 92 years of age came to Branksome Heights Care Home to have a 3-week break from her care home in Manchester (a very long drive). From the moment we arrived, I didn't stop smiling for my nana and how she was treated and the home itself is absolutely charming, cosy
and home-like. All the staff are very friendly and caring, yet efficient and professional. I am absolutely thrilled and so is my nana, that thrilled she has decided not to go home to Manchester and move into Branksome Heights. My nana is a different woman she's bright, alive, a new zest for life. She says she feels warm and safe and she would like to stay! This place is fantastic, from the decor, to the meals, to the garden area, to the entertainment. I want to say a massive thank you to all the team and look forward to our future together. Joining the dedicated team at Branksome Heights is a great opportunity for me, especially at this special time having newly received their Nursing Accreditation. I bring with me 37 years of nursing experience, the last 18 of which have been in the Nursing Home sector, with the last 10 years as Clinical Lead. I have previously worked as a Ward Sister in a local Private Hospital in Women’s Health and as a Breast Care Advisor, helping patients from diagnosis to follow up.


I am very happy to have joined such a fantastic team as Clinical Lead of Nursing, and look forward to developing this new, and extremely valuable additional level of care to the home to compliment the already successful Dementia and Residential care.

I particularly love the Care Home environment and feel right at home here at Branksome Heights, helping to create a warm friendly welcome to the home. Branksome Heights is only a short walk from my home and is in such a lovely area surrounded as it is by woods, and parks and close to the sea. It is a joy to see residents’ families coming along to take their loved ones for local trips out and for walks to Coy Pond and through the Chinese to the seafront. I enjoy being creative and love producing menu designs, writing our newsletters, and sometimes the occasional poem

I was delighted to join the team at Branksome Heights in July 2023 following studies for my Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity. Whilst studying I worked as an Administrator at the bank with the NHS. Everyone at Branksome Heights has been so welcoming and supportive, including the lovely residents. I started working in Hospitality/Reception and was delighted to be promoted to the role of Home Administrator. The Home is very beautiful with a warm friendly atmosphere and a special place to work. I am married with one small son, and in fact, my husband also works here at Branksome Heights as a Senior Night Support Worker. We both really enjoy working for Kingsley Healthcare and our work fits in so well with our family time too.
