Blenheim Care Home, in Dorset, is situated in a scenic wooded area where an experienced care team provide a person-centred service.

Blenheim hosts many comfortable communal areas including a large TV lounge with plenty of room for activities. The home also has a dining room and conservatory which looks onto the garden.

On the first floor, there’s a smaller lounge. It’s a good spot for quieter activities and reminiscing. The home is host to lots of objects to stimulate memories and conversations, including books, records, knitting patterns, tea sets, old magazines and Royal Family memorabilia.

Residents and visitors are welcome to use the free Blenheim Wi-Fi.

Good, wholesome home-cooked food is essential at a care home. The cooks at Blenheim prepare traditional and seasonal meals. The kitchen staff have received a 5* ‘Very Good’ rating from the Food Standards Agency.

My mother was admitted to the home direct from hospital after a major fall at home. She had been having 24-hour live-in care which was proving to be very difficult to manage. I had concerns about her wellbeing as I live some 130 miles away and had recently suffered illness myself. The home has provided
a wonderful, caring base for my mother. The communication from the staff is first class. The standard of their service and care has enhanced my mother's life and given me peace of mind.

My husband has only been a resident at Blenheim care home since February 2020 and has quickly settled in well with the help of all the staff. In these difficult times, all staff have worked exceptionally well and my husband is extremely well looked after. We now enjoy garden visits, which are enjoyable.
As a visitor and former care worker, I congratulate the manager and his team with how they have coped and continue to cope in these unprecedented times. Thank You.

My mother has been a resident for over two years. There has recently been a change in management, and I feel I must comment on the noticeable improvements that have been implemented and a number of excellent initiatives. Blenheim is a relatively small care home which has a very homely feeling to it.
The staff are wonderful, all very caring and friendly.

My Mum was placed into Blenheim Care Home at my request as she was not coping at home and her health was visibly failing. Despite her not being the easiest of residents the care she received at Blenheim was second to none. My wife has 26 years of experience in the care industry and could not fault the
home in any way. After three months they have got my mothers health back and she has been moved to extra care supported housing. I have no doubts without the help and support of the management and staff this would never have been possible and for this, I will be forever grateful.

Blenheim is a lovely homely home, with pleasant surroundings. Whether sitting in the lounge, at a dining table, in the conservatory, or on a nice warm day, out in the garden on a visit with my mum.
It is a clean, warm, comfortable and safe environment.
I cannot fault the care my dear mum receives
from the very genuinely caring, supportive, friendly and polite staff and management.
The residents are all treated with the utmost respect, understanding and patience at all times and those who are able, are gently encouraged to participate in organised activities.
My mum has been living at Blenheim for almost five years now and she could not be in better hands. She is happy, she is safe, she is well fed and well looked after.
In her own words - I am lucky aren't I. It's lovely here.

Mum moved in two weeks ago. She was welcomed very nicely and settled in very quickly. I have visited a few times and enjoyed it as all the staff are very friendly and efficient.

My mother was at Blenheim Care Home for thirteen months and during that time (before her death this September) she was cared for in a loving and sensitive way. Every one of the staff were friendly, helpful and very caring towards her. They looked after her with palliative end of life care right until
her death. I can't speak more highly of them.

The dedicated hands-on manager and her hard-working team are caring and compassionate.
Residents’ personal needs are well catered for and their home is always clean and tidy.
I have seen a good selection of meals served with individual food preferences and times taken into account.
Residents are
able to participate, if they wish, in many of the arranged activities, seasonal events and birthday parties.
Mum especially loves the regular live music sessions, being taken out in the minibus for trips eg garden centre, the seaside for ice cream, tea and cake in the forest, animal farm.
Other residents enjoy art and craft making, memory games, gardening.
Family and friends are encouraged to visit anytime.
It is comforting to know and see that my mum is now safe, happy and well looked after.

The manager and staff go the extra mile to arrange parties and activities. The care is second to none and I have booked a place for myself when the time comes.

The management and staff are so compassionate and caring towards the residents., The home is spotlessly clean. The staff always go the extra mile in caring for the residents.
The residents participate in activities and those able are taken out for treats, for example, afternoon tea, picnics and theatre.
The residents are kept clean and tidy and personal accidents dealt with quickly and seamlessly. My family are so pleased that they found Blenheim Home. Our mum is so happy and love in there.
