My relative has been at The Links Care Centre for nearly 2 years. I cannot thank them enough. The management and the entire nursing team are really doing a great job in looking after my relative with complex mental and health issues. The place has improved and looking amazing. I am forever grateful.

According to Mum, not an entirely happy stay. The food was disappointing. She spent most of her week's respite in her room. On the day my brother and I picked her up to bring her home, we were left on the porch, (we both had negative lateral flow results). Could hear Mum crying and was very distressed
as she couldn't understand why we didn't go up to her room to collect her. Took a while to calm her down.

Reply from Yolanda Farrell, Manager at Linkfield Court Residential Care Home

Thank you for your review and we are sorry that Mom has stated to you she felt the way she did. However, during Mom's stay she was asked every day by the carers if she was OK or if there was anything she needed or would like to be different because the care team were aware that Mom could be anxious given it was her first time coming into care for a respite stay. All interactions were documented on our computerised notes and Mom did not disclose that she was unhappy at any time, she always stated how happy she was and how she was enjoying her stay, and even commented that she would like to return for another respite stay with us. Mom also enjoyed time in the communal lounge and in the garden and even enjoyed feeding the wildlife and playing with the resident dogs (all of which is on our CCTV which you are welcome to view if you would like to contact us to make an appointment to do so). I apologise for the discharge and have discussed this with the team. We hope Mom has settled now.

My mother has been a resident for a number of years now.
During this time the staff have been absolutely brilliant in all aspects of caring and making my mother's stay really homely.
I cannot praise this home and staff highly enough for everything they have done to improve my mother's life.
