Sorry we have upset you by giving your wonderful Mum notice to leave our care home; solely down to your unreasonable behaviour. Sad situation for Mum, moving 4 times prior; no fault of her own. She remains happy, settled, and is being cared for excellently by our carers. The manager tried to work with you and communicate effectively over a year. 70% of staff are English others level 6 or above. You used the word neglect and care failings which we find particularly upsetting and untrue. Every complaint you made to the home, SSrvs, CQC, Deprivation of Liberty Dept, have all been investigated by the relevant authority and not upheld. We have worked in an open and transparent way with every dept and have evidence from all of them that we have not in any way neglected Mum and are meeting her care needs, over and above expectations. We hope, now other agencies are involved in finding her a new home, she be allowed to settle and thrive, as she has with us and can live the remainder of her life in one home, peacefully.

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.579) out of 10 for Adamscourt is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.
The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.
The Average Rating of 4.779 for Adamscourt is calculated as follows: ( (78 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 95 Ratings = 4.779
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').
The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Adamscourt is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 25 registered maximum number of service users is 5, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Registered Manager
Joined: 2012
My name is Vanessa, I Have two grown-up children.
I have worked in care since I left school, my first job was in the TB hospital in Bournemouth. This was a very challenging role, but I gained a lot of experience and it armed me with the training and resilience I needed to further my career. I then moved to Boscombe Hospital which was a different kind of care. This hospital closed and the new Bournemouth General Hospital was built I moved there for a while, and I then decided to take some time out and dedicate some time to my family. I started to miss working in care, I applied for the role of care assistant at Adamscourt and started in 2012 and gained a lot of experience and was promoted to senior, then Deputy manager and then in 2019 I was given the opportunity to become the home manager this has been an exciting and demanding challenge and I continue to learn each day. I am proud of myself for my achievements and the home has grown from strength to strength.
I have achieved my level 5 in care management and continue to attend courses which relate to care.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family and our dogs. I also like reading and listening to music.
Job Title: Deputy Manager
Joined: 2010
My name is Jerry and as deputy manager of Adamscourt Care Home, I lead, together with the home manager our wonderful team of care, catering and maintenance team.
We are looking after and creating a homely, loving atmosphere, for all our residents and everyone involved with us.
I have been involved in the care industry for more than 20 years, across three different countries and over the years, I have experienced a very positive evolution in how care is being provided and planned for vulnerable individuals on a person-centred basis.
I am very passionate about providing person-centred care, especially for those living with Dementia and empowering our residents with all aspects of their lives. I believe you cannot categorize people by what ails them, I think each person is unique therefore we need to support each person in their own unique, tailored way.
I have achieved many qualifications in my time in care and continue to learn and train. I am NVQ 5 qualified.
In my personal life, I have two little trouble-making boys! (4 and 7 years old) who keeps my wife and me busy.
My hobbies are running, skateboarding, martial arts, surfing, swimming, reading, playing chess and any board games.
